He is charming, so knowledgeable in his expertise, and takes his time and has a gentle care with your treatment. The office was very efficient and booked my appointment in a timely manner. Dr. Asilli did a great job with my foot and I am going back in 6 weeks. I was disappointed to know that my other foot is going to take 3 months to heal from the fracture. Dr. Assili performed a double bonionectomy on me in 2018 and I've had no issues with either foot in the past 7 years. He is very professional, down-to-earth, and I appreciate his no-nonsence, conservative style. I injured my ankle recently and had to wait a few weeks for an appointment (I've also moved 45 minutes away) but he's worth the wait and drive to get an honest, no frills diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Assili. I had a huge cyst on my foot, which my dermatologist wouldn't touch. Instead, he recommended that I see Assili, a podiatrist that he said he goes to himself. This doctor was recommended several years ago by a former classmate and podiatrist friend. At the time my husband was seeing a doctor that he did not want to change. It took time but I finally convinced my husband to try Dr. Assili. He had a terrible two year old foot wound that needed to be dressed everyday. Dr Assili, a no nonsense straight to the point professional, was friendly, gentle, and assured us that the wound could be closed. We had been told that it would never close by a former podiatrist, so when I heard that we were incredibly hopeful. Sure enough, in time that wound closed and it has been healed for over two years. I have visited Dr. Assili for the past year. Having visited a total of 3 podiatrists in the past, I am impressed at how he is able to maintain a very personable demeanor and spend time explaining options without taking so much of your time that it keeps everyone waiting. I have never had to wait too long for my appointment time. I saw him for my bunionette and he told me all the possible options. I also brought my son in for a very stubborn plantar wart that did not go away with 10+ visits to a different podiatrist. Again, Dr. Assili told me what our options are, how long less invasive treatment will take, and options for more invasive therapy. His staff is very professional, and the office is very clean. Dr. Assili scared the hell out of me this winter. He diagnosed me with "posterior tibial tendon dysfunction." He wrote this diagnosis on a prescription pad page and handed it to me. He didn't explain to me anything about the condition. He simply stated that I had come "just in time." He encouraged me to buy Superfeet shoe inserts that he sold in his office and to come back in a month for orthodics fitting. I bought the inserts. I googled "posterior tibial tendon dysfunction" when I got home. Everything that I read frightened me. I subsequently saw two podiatrists this winter and spring. One works in a teaching hospital and trains podiatrists. Both podiatrists said that my tendon was "tight." Neither would venture to say that I had "posterior tibial tendon dysfunction." I simply had tendonitis that has now been effectively treated. I didn't return to Dr. Assili for the orthodics, in part, because I was suspicious that he took unnecessary x-rays of my feet. Literature on the internet suggests that my hunch was right. X-rays are not needed for a diagnosis of posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. I suggest to anyone that visits this doctor, or any other doctor, to ask questions. Know the basis for a diagnosis and the ramifications of the diagnosis before you leave the office. read more

I was very happy with my visit this week. The office was able to get me in same day, which is not always easy to get. I arrived a few minutes early as requested and handed in my forms which I was able to complete beforehand since they were on the group's website. I was brought back to my exam room before my schedule time and Dr. Assili arrived a few minute EARLY. He explained to me my diagnosis, treated me efficiently and I was able to fill my scripts in the pharmacy downstairs from his office. If only all doctor visits went this smoothly. read more

I saw Dr. Assili few years ago. And had a pretty bad experience. My ankle got twisted due to high heels. It didn't break any bone but certainly something went wrong with ligament and tendon. He reviewed my MRI report and told me nothing has happened. He told me these types of injuries take 12months to heal and did not even recommend any Physical Therapy. I explained him the part of leg and ankle that hurts and swells, and he in turn told me that it can hurt, he does not care. The way he acted as he was doing a free service when I bet he took a good amount from my insurance. All in All very rude and rubbish behavior and attitude. And he did not even care about injury I had. He told me to wait 12months but, its been 5 years that injury still persists. I would not recommend this podiatrist. He just caused more pain and hassle. It seems he is just there to make money but not to heal people. Later, I went through MRIs, Nerve Conduction Tests, and too many physical therapies to get well. read more

Through the years, I've had several problems and Dr. Assili has always known how to effectively diagnose and treat my issues. Dr. Assili is very affable and attentive however, his staff is not one bit any of that. I had a sport injury and saw him twice. He methods are conservative and safe. You have a foot problem? Then run, walk, hobble, or crawl to see Dr. Assili. Of all the doctors I have had throughout the years, he is the one I like and trust the most. I have had a couple of problems on my foot going back 7 or so years. Each time, he approached this conservatively. My latest problem did have to involve surgery, unfortunately. He uses the surgery center over on Piccard. Everything from getting it scheduled, to the surgery, to post op went very smoothly. I appreciate his candor, his bedside manner, his promptness in seeing me or answering questions I have outside of the appointment. My two children have visited him as well and both have agreed with me that he is the best. My daughter told me that if her condition ever returns again, that she will travel all the way from her new home in Oregon to see him as he figured out her problem when other podiatrists didn't. He is simply awesome. If I have one negative -- and it isn't all that bad --, it would be the office staff. They are efficient, but I wish they were a bit more friendlier and warmer. I've been going to Dr. Assili since 2008 when he was recommended to me by a coworker. He gets me in with short notice when I'm having a problem. He and his staff are very friendly. I've seen him for everything from minor issues like ingrown toenails to major problems like a need for orthotics. He's very professional and gives you all the options for treatment. Several times i had to take my two small children with me, and the office is very accommodating to kids. Plenty of toys and games to keep them occupied while I saw the doc. The office also sells a lot of products for your feet that you might need so you can pick them up right there, but there is no pressure (or even suggestion) to buy from them. It's strictly a convenience thing. Overall, I'm really happy with Dr. Assili and I'd definitely recommend him for any foot issues. I even recommended him to my mom. read more

Dr Assili and the office staff are really great with kids and they even have a kid friendly room.
