While I understand being short-staffed can be stressful, I was placed on hold multiple times during the call while Jill repeatedly emphasized that she was working alone and assisting patients in the lobby. Although I tried to remain understanding and patient, the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. When I attempted to explain the reason for my visit regarding pre-operative care, I was told that I needed to drop off my pre-op orders before even being able to schedule an appointment. While I was willing to comply, the process seemed unusual and was not clearly explained. What concerned me most was Jill's demeanor when I politely asked for her name and role at the office for my own reference. She appeared offended and questioned why she was "being interviewed." Her response and overall attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a prospective patient. Customer service and professionalism are extremely important in healthcare settings, especially for new patients seeking care. Unfortunately, this interaction left such a negative impression that I no longer feel comfortable establishing care at this facility.

During his visit with Dr. Lavi he insisted he get new blood work to confirm his diagnosis yet failed to submit the right order. The office acknowledged their mistake but said the doctor refused to put in the correct order because my husband had been approved to see a podiatrist (for an unrelated issue) so he recommended he have the podiatrist treat him for gout. When I called member service to report him they disclosed the doctor had no notes about gout in his file. He failed to do his job in every way.

The woman heard me, turned around and said "Well thank you young man, you are coming to the right doctor, my husband and I have been coming to Dr. Dhanda for many years and I am 96 and my husband is 98. They recommended I contact my insurance to find a new provider. I called my insurance and they said my doctor was still listed as in network and they didnt understand why I was being denied services. I'm not sure what is going on but if heritage sierra refuses to work with PPO insurance plans they need to review their contract, and doctors at their practice should be removed from the insurance network list. I was never notified of any changes prior to today and am now left scrambling to find a new doctor.

A week and two days before the appointment, someone called me who said she was with this office. She asked for all the information again. I gave it to her. Then she asked for my credit card number. What??? I have never been asked for my credit card number by any doctor's office, ever, before the event. She told me I could come in to their office and give them the credit card number, but I could not wait until I was in the office for the appt to give them that number. I told her 1) I had no proof that she actually worked at this office, and 2) I was not going to provide the number ahead of time. She said, "This is our office policy," and told me that if I did not provide the number, my appt would be canceled. Fine, I said. I will find another neurologist. Avoid this office if you don't want to give vital financial information to a complete stranger. How could this office get to be #1 on Yelp?
