I recently called this office in an attempt to establish care with a primary care physician, and unfortunately, my experience with the front desk representative, Jill, was very disappointing. While I understand being short-staffed can be stressful, I was placed on hold multiple times during the call while Jill repeatedly emphasized that she was working alone and assisting patients in the lobby. Although I tried to remain understanding and patient, the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. When I attempted to explain the reason for my visit regarding pre-operative care, I was told that I needed to drop off my pre-op orders before even being able to schedule an appointment. While I was willing to comply, the process seemed unusual and was not clearly explained. What concerned me most was Jill's demeanor when I politely asked for her name and role at the office for my own reference. She appeared offended and questioned why she was "being interviewed." Her response and overall attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a prospective patient. Customer service and professionalism are extremely important in healthcare settings, especially for new patients seeking care. Unfortunately, this interaction left such a negative impression that I no longer feel comfortable establishing care at this facility. read more

Doctor Lavi is unprofessional, unreliable, and a liar. My husband was diagnosed with Gout after an urgent care visit and was indicated to follow up with his primary doctor. During his visit with Dr. Lavi he insisted he get new blood work to confirm his diagnosis yet failed to submit the right order. The office acknowledged their mistake but said the doctor refused to put in the correct order because my husband had been approved to see a podiatrist (for an unrelated issue) so he recommended he have the podiatrist treat him for gout. When I called member service to report him they disclosed the doctor had no notes about gout in his file. He failed to do his job in every way. read more

Dr. Lavi is the most genuine and caring doctor I have had the pleasure of knowing. He has been my primary for over 10 years now. He is so good to his patients that my entire family has him as their primary. He listens, spends time with you, and is open to you providing a list of what you want (bloodwork, doctor referrals, etc). His staff is also such a pleasure to work with. They get things done quickly and accurately while providing you with immediate updates on referrals, prescriptions, and anything else you are looking for. I have had only pleasant experiences when I have an appointment or whenever I speak to anyone from the office on the phone. I have been going to Dr. Lavi for at least 20 years. He's truly one of a kind! He's knowledgeable and he actually listens to you. He takes his time to explain things to you in a way that you understand. His staff is friendly and always willing to help. I have noticed since Covid most people have Covid brain and a lot of doctors offices' are included in that Covid brain. Other offices have changed their hours and are not available, their staff doesn't care because guess what they can go down the street and get another job. Dr. Lavi has not skipped a beat! He took his time, asked questions, listened to what I had to say, seemed caring and friendly. On time, barely waited 5 minutes and I was called in. Almost unheard of, a "on time doctor!" Just my opinion, but I think Dr. Lavi should have his license reviewed by the board for immediate evaluation. Not only did he cut myself and my other family members off from their medication (no not opioids) but without warning or notice of any kind! Then he comes up with other methods of medicine and prescribes 4 times the strength which caused one of the most scariest, miserable nights I have seen to this day! We went to a different doctor and he almost fell over when we showed him what Lavi perscribed! Be aware please! Not to mention he is not a very pleasant doctor. read more

Dr Lavi has been our family PCP since he assumed the practice from his predecessor many years ago. Very low-key but high-knowledge physician. Phenomenal awareness of drugs & their potential interactions. Calmly & clearly discusses results of lab tests, treatment regimen, prognoses, etc. Very accessible and compassionate. Dr. Lavi is salt of the earth. A rare doctor-he cares & listens. He's my mothers physician. She's been raving about him for years. 4 yrs ago I took her to her appt and & Dr. Lavi. It took 2 mins to realize why she had so much respect for this man. He's not just kind, he's incredibly smart. I immediately realized what a gem Dr. Lavi was & became his patient. I drive an hour each way to Santa Clarita to see him & wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not sickly, but do have complex health issues. Most GP's don't know my issues & look at my like I'm talking gibberish. Dr. Lavi knows all & is up to date. I'm blessed to have found this doctor! If you are looking for a great Doctor, he is the one. Even my wife changed to him. If you want someone that looks at you when he/she talks, someone that will pull a paper and draw a picture of what your problem is, someone that know your name (beyond looking at your chart) and ask about your wife by name, you should really consider him as your Doctor. As an added note, both of his nurse's assistants, Sue and Marco are as good too. They form a really good team and they are always looking for your best. I highly recommended! read more

Very angry at this doctor. Had a family member in the hospital for weeks and he never visited, never helped as he was directed. He went completely AWOL. We even saw him in the halls of the hospital but he made himself scarce. So unprofessional. When we finally were able to confront him later he told many inconsistent stories about his work on this case from "I never knew they were in the hospital" to "Well, of course I was checking their chart". The hospital doctor said this was NOT true. He was contacted repeatedly and he never touched the chart. Shouldn't have been surprised. He is the most lackadaisical doctor in his office. You pay him a co-pay and he mostly blows you off. You might get a referral, but he may not follow through. We switched to a new doctor for the family. read more

Yelp lists Dr. Joseph Lavi under Dermatology? He is my General Doctor (Internal Medicine). Very kind, compassionate, good "bedside manner". Night and day from the care I received at Facey. Has been my GP for two years. Thoroughly goes over test results and explains everything so my non-medical mind can understand. Never feel rushed. Takes time with you. Staff very helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't like about his new office is the big TV in the waiting area. (I'm not a TV person.) Preferred the quiet waiting area in his old office. But I can live with that. I drive from Beverly Hills (which has a minimum of 30 doctors every square block) to Santa Clarita to see Dr. Lavi and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've been surprised to find that most GP's/Internists don't know many of my issues and look at my like I'm talking in gibberish.
