While I understand being short-staffed can be stressful, I was placed on hold multiple times during the call while Jill repeatedly emphasized that she was working alone and assisting patients in the lobby. Although I tried to remain understanding and patient, the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. When I attempted to explain the reason for my visit regarding pre-operative care, I was told that I needed to drop off my pre-op orders before even being able to schedule an appointment. While I was willing to comply, the process seemed unusual and was not clearly explained. What concerned me most was Jill's demeanor when I politely asked for her name and role at the office for my own reference. She appeared offended and questioned why she was "being interviewed." Her response and overall attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a prospective patient. Customer service and professionalism are extremely important in healthcare settings, especially for new patients seeking care. Unfortunately, this interaction left such a negative impression that I no longer feel comfortable establishing care at this facility.

During his visit with Dr. Lavi he insisted he get new blood work to confirm his diagnosis yet failed to submit the right order. The office acknowledged their mistake but said the doctor refused to put in the correct order because my husband had been approved to see a podiatrist (for an unrelated issue) so he recommended he have the podiatrist treat him for gout. When I called member service to report him they disclosed the doctor had no notes about gout in his file. He failed to do his job in every way.

I was impressed with the way they carried out the appointment. First I had a medical assistant call and asked a series of questions about me, and the the end she said the doctors assistant would call in a few minutes. I received a call from Jesse and he also asked a series of questions about me, also asked reason for seeing the doctor. When I talked to Dr Clark it went very smoothly and efficiently. What helps to get the most of a appointment is to be prepared with a list of medications, illnesses,surgeries and concerns you might have. The facility was clean and staff was nice.

At this point, it's almost laughable! Appointments (especially with any specialists) are now booked four months or more out. I scheduled a first-time consultation with Dr. Sofia Avitia for 12/26/2025. I made this appointment back in September! Then, on Wednesday 11/26 I received a call in the afternoon informing me that the doctor would not be available on 12/26 and that I would need call to reschedule. When I called them back on Monday 12/1 after returning home Thanksgiving vacation, I was told the next available appointment was March 6th!!! Keep in mind, I'm seeking this appointment because I'm having swallowing issues. So after scheduling in September, I now cannot be seen until March, which comes out to reaching a six-month window. This is exactly why I say the scheduling situation has almost become laughable and completely unacceptable. I went ahead and grabbed the March 6 appointment just in case I cannot find another doctor sooner, but given my symptoms, I have no choice but to search for someone who can see me within a reasonable amount of time. Considering the inconvenience, I expected at least some level of priority, but instead I felt like I was treated as if I were calling to make an initial appointment all over again. What is really going on at Facey? It is now almost impossible to make any appointment at a reasonable time. I honestly believe they will soon reach a six month scheduling window, which is crazy.

I had a positive experience all around - a couple minor things/events could've been better but nothing to dissuade me from continuing to seek care here. In the first half of my prenatal care I saw Cassandra Chen - her and Claudia (medical assistant) were absolute joys to see and I always felt well taken care of. I started seeing the practice doctors after week 28, rotating through so I could meet as many as possible before delivery, since I didn't know who would be on call the day-of. I especially enjoyed seeing Dr Kazadi and Dr Tuso. My delivery day doctors ended up being ones I didn't previously meet but they were just as nice as all the others. I plan to continue my care with Facey for any obgyn needs.

I also love how everything is automated so if I happen to have a referral, that office is up-to-date on what's going on with me. The appointment process is super easy and even they are super nice when I call. I was happy when this was simply the Motion Picture & Television Fund health center, but UCLA has really brought some great additions to this partnership. I was charged around one thousand dollars for an online visit just to get a prescription refill and speak with my primary physician, who has been my doctor for the past four years. Unfortunately, his previous clinic was shut down, and he had to move to UCLA Health. The virtual consultation lasted only five minutes. When I confronted the clinic about the high charge, they claimed it was necessary because it was my first visit and I have chronic conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. However, all I needed was a refill! Of course the insurance didn't cover it and I got hit with a $650 FOR ONE ONLIVE VISIT as out of pocket. This feels like fraudulent practice and abuse.
