I've been so impressed with Dr. Jacob Ramsey-Morrow, who treats acute and chronic spine pain,…read morespasticity, musculoskelin pain, and specializes in nonsurgical treatment options for these conditions. He performs fluoroscopically and ultra-sound guided procedures for pain and spasticity. He is located at the IU Neuroscience Center directly facing W. 16th Street. This large glass building is very easy to find, and a parking garage is attached to the Neuroscience Center (ticket not validated). Patients can be dropped off by the main lobby with wheelchairs available by the information desk. The staff at the desk are super friendly and helpful. The doctor is personable and well-spoken, explains the process well, and has a visual aid, plus he answered all my questions. I do wish I had taken a few notes to remember medication given and some of the other details, but I have an appointment in a couple of weeks. During the procedure, he explains first what he is about to do. I love that so I can prepare myself. Dr. Morrow was great about controlling the pain and checked often on me. Most of what I felt was pressure when injecting the medication. This was my second procedure to resolve another area in my spine. I am still anxious but no longer fearful as I was during the first procedure. I worry slightly of the complications that could occur, but I feel it is worth the risks. Dr. Ramsey-Morrow and his team have earned my trust. After two procedures, I truly believe he is a dedicated and skillful physician who acknowledges each patient as an individual. I didn't feel as if I was in an assembly line but his only patient. The area of my spine addressed is already showing signs of improvement. I would highly recommend Dr. Ramsey-Morrow if you have any of the conditions mentioned above.

What can I say about a man who truly cares about providing his patients with a greatly reduced…read morelevel of pain AND provides hope with his great people skills too? We are really thankful we were referred to Dr Wellington. Without too many details, let me say that my wife has undergone numerous spinal surgeries due to an extremely chronic pain from arthritis and degenerative vertebrae. Even though she has complete trust in the doctors who did her surgeries, they had reached a limit on what could be done for her other than heavily medicating her which would rob her of any quality of life. Fortunately, her pain specialist recommended she try Dr Wellington at IU Health. He is one of the leading doctors in using the Medtronic pump to relieve site specific pain. Instead of large doses of pain medicine taken orally, minimal amounts of pain medicine are delivered directly to the nerves that are causing the pain via an implanted pump and delivery system. The miracle of modern medicine allowed this small system to be inserted in about an hour as an out patient (with a couple hours of recovery/observation before release.) Periodically, a small dose of medicine is delivered. On periodic follow up visits, the number of times the medicine is released and the quantity of medicine are reviewed by the doctor and is adjusted to provide relief. After just a couple visits, my wife is so much better and she has had no side effects. Just minimal levels of pain. The change in her face and even her posture are noticeable. Note 1: The pumps have a pain reservoir that is subcutaneous, so no open port to worry about for infection. The reservoir holds up to 6 months of medicine which can be filled and flushed through a simple syringe. Each visit with the Dr or his PA, you get a new date for how long your supply will last at the current distribution level so that you can plan your next visit for refill. Note 2: There has never been a case of overdose from pump failure! There have been a few cases where the pump failed and needed to be replaced. The expected life of each pump is about 7 years. And the man himself is simply a caring individual who delights in bringing pain relief and quality of life to his patients. He is kind and listens to his patients. We've been to see him several times and he has been so upbeat and reassuring on each visit. Technical things: You need a referral to see the doctor from your physician. His office is at the Indiana University Health Hospital Interventional & Advanced Pain Therapies Center. His surgeries are done at the Senate Street Surgery Center. Your first visit will be to discuss your pain and how likely you are to be a candidate for the pain pump. You have to do some screenings including a short term injection to see how well you respond to the prescribed treatment before any surgeries are done. Some screenings are required by insurance as well. If all goes well, then you schedule a surgery. That requires following some rules for the first five days when a secondary external pain pump can be removed. After that, you just schedule follow up visits to find the right level of pain management that you need. My wife is so happy now and insisted that I do a review. Happy wife, happy life. Thanks to the good Doctor! Review #3591

I threatened them with legal action and they stopped after weeks. Ask patients to sign a form saying they'll pay any and all fees not covered by insurance. Even for medicaid clients. (Blanket waiver) Billed me for a no show, when that wasn't the case. Medicaid's transport company couldn't find a ride for me that day. A health care provider can't bill a medicaid recipient at all for that, even if I had a ride but just didn't feel like going The transport company called them and explained it to them and they hung up on them. That appointment was over 1.5 yrs ago and they still bill me. They call, send bills in the mail and it's in my chart that I owe them $25 Riding the line: Didn't actually have a neurologist on staff when I asked for one. There was one next door but they didn't accept my insurance. Dr. Kundi's staff said they weren't associated, but was also told Dr. Kundi "isn't that type of neurologist". Unfortunately he's the only doctor they have, so I can't talk to any doctor at all, just NPs. Billed medicaid/Medicare $1400 for a $45 brace that he insisted on. One THEY prescribed. (It took me a long time to correct that after they put it in my chart. I asked them to look in my files to see 1 I was on the drug and 2 that it was them that prescribed it. Then I had to find a medical journal to quote and show them.) They did nothing but scold me and still prescribed my pain medicine as usual. Stay out of this unethical cesspool.

Well I got along with everyone at this clinic, I made them all masks and everything. When I got my last pain injection I had a headache for 2 weeks straight, no breaks in the pain. Then my blood pressure shot up and I had a seizure, which I've never had before. When asking Dr. Provenza, of course he denied doing anything wrong. Well since I confronted him with my problems and concerns, he "discharged" me for inappropriate behavior. This here proofs his wrongdoing to me. Found this out today and now that he has passed away, he can't justify his actions and lie about my "behavior" He wasn't the only shady doctor there, they fired the other one that was prescribing medication that actually helped me instead of covering the pain. If you want pain meds and don't want to fix your pain, this is the place to go, they give it out like candy.

I was told that I had to reschedule; Dr Kim leaves at 3:30. My appointment was at 3:30. How does that work???? I've been a patient for 10 years and have waited plenty of times for over an hour. This was the most disrespectful treatment I've ever experienced from a doctor. Ever! In my life and 10 years coming here. I've had a lot of grievances with this practice. Oh, I had 2 voice mails asking me to come earlier. I'm way too busy at work right now. That tells me he was antsy to get out of there early. Hours advertised are until 4:30. I had to lose 2 more hours at work Monday to get my medication. During the busiest, most demanding, and MOST stressful time I experience every year. So, I'm working 10 hours a day this week even though my deadline has passed to catch up what I couldn't do Friday or Monday. If you are a new patient, go somewhere else! They really don't care about you. And NO ONE will return your call. One other person in line was there to complain about something but, I heard her say she left 6 voicemails and no one called her back. I left so, I don't know what happened but she mumbled that she's going elsewhere, especially after witnessing my treatment.
