I have been a patient of Dr. Charbel's since July 2019. He treated me for a yoga injury via acupuncture in my right arm for about six weeks at his clinic on 75th and Binford. I always enjoyed my appointments, not only because it led to healing but also because I genuinely enjoyed Dr. Charbel's company. He is one of the kindest, most caring professionals I've encountered. I most appreciate how Dr. Charbel is an active listener and remains present throughout the visit. In fact, I was actually sad when I no longer needed to be treated weekly. Fast forward to January: I returned to Dr. Charbel for acupuncture in the same arm for maintenance. He let me know that he was opening a second clinic downtown, and that his newest chiropractic physician, Dr. Jen, was joining him. When it came time to book my next monthly appointment, I requested to have it at his new downtown location. The new clinic is beautiful. It has all of the same services offered, and--best of all--Dr. Charbel is there on certain days of the week. While I am grateful that there are two clinics, I will continue treatment at the downtown location for convenience. I visit their downtown location and I have Dr. Sanders. He's a chiropractor/dry needle specialist. In each appointment he talks me through every step and answers any questions I have. He's very knowledgeable and open to talk to. During my consultation it was recommended that I do deep needle and keep in mind that I had never been to a chiropractor. Naturally, I was scared at first, but he made me excited to reach my goal of getting back to the gym. The needles aren't like a needle you typically think of when you get a flu shot. It's a prick. Sounds more intimidating than it really is and time goes by fast! Expect the first appointment to be a little sore since this is new to your body. A month has gone by and I feel I'm almost 100%. I recommend the schedule your doctor gives you. Dr. Sanders teaches you techniques and workouts to do at home. If you're in chronic pain or an athlete who cares being in tip top shape...this is your place. I'm not saying I'm an athlete but a lot of athletes come here for pain management, cryotherapy, getting adjustments, dry needling, etc. I come here to get my upper back treated. My traps always kills me thanks to my poor posture and desk job. So they're always stiff and tight. I tried various cold/hot compress, have been to various chiropractors, pain meds, have gotten massages and nothing seriously worked. The only thing that helped alleviate my pain was the dry needling and Dr. Charbel puts the electric current with it which works on my muscle to get it relaxed followed by soft tissue work. I started going to the north side location a couple of years ago to address tightness in my neck caused by constantly sitting at a desk. I started feeling much better after a few treatments (acupuncture, adjustments, and soft tissue massage). I still go periodically for a tuneup and I always feel great after a visit. I have been to the downtown location twice since it opened. It is conveniently located on the corner of Delaware and Puryear. The new office is sleek and modern and offers all of the great services provided on the north side. I will begin my review by stating how I excited I was that there is finally a place to get my Cryo fix downtown!
