Out for a drive and ran across the Amis Mill eatery while looking for waterfalls. we found this place and the waterfall (actually it was the spillover from and old dam). The Eatery looked very rustic and quaint with some folks eating out on their screened in porch that overlooked the dam and "waterfall". We were greeted upon entering by a smiling staff and were seated out on the porch per our request. There were some good selections to chose from. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the pulled pork dinner. Our waitress was very nice and our food was very good too. So we found a very nice venue with helpful friendly staff and great food. That's a great combination.

Amazing views from the outdoor seating! Burgers were the best thing here! Would definitely come back.

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at the Amis Mills restaurant. The food was really good. They have the BEST fried green tomatoes! We got seated right away and our food did not take long to come out. It really didn't matter if you took longer than it did because we sat outside and sitting next to the damn is very relaxing and the weather was great.

I came here with my wife and her parents. The service and ambiance was great. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and peppered, but the queso mac was a little bland. I expected more of a kick to it. My wife had the smothered chicken and that's what I will probably have the next time we go.

Great food and great staff. My family dined at Amis Mill yesterday for dinner and it did not disappoint. If you are traveling along interstate 81 and have some spare time, I definitely recommend stopping by to dine. My son went with the ribs and the meat was falling off the bone and I went with the ribeye and it was easily the best steak I ever had. Thank me later!

My Husband and I have received the Best Service we have EVER had here, in this Little Cozy…read morerestaurant located in Moorsburg, Tennessee. Off of 11W, you'll find the Green Tomato Grill. Where the atmosphere feels like Home and the service makes you feel like Family. Danielle was our server. She was Patient, and Exceptional at her job. She was welcoming, accommodating and personalable. We loved getting to Know Danielle! (Prayers for Caden!) She made sure my Husband and I were filled up on coffee and drinks while we were enjoying our Homecooked meal. I cannot Say ENOUGH good things about this Beyond Hospitable Waitress. Actually, the whole entire team that we met, were just absolutely BEYOND REMARKABLE. From the ARMY dude "Johnson" to Mrs. Freda who sat us and also gave us Great Conversation... I would be BEYOND proud of this Homey Restaurant, if I were it's Owner. Freda gave us the Amazing background on how this place came to be about 14 years ago. And you can just hear how proud she is of this Beautiful Hidden Gem and how far it has come. Thank you for Freda, for the Great Welcoming atmosphere. You're so warm and your Service is Wonderful. "JOHNSON"- We hope to one day see your coat of many colors... and we are hoping to see your "New and Improved Military Attire!!" Haha!! We loved hearing the employees bless each other with Good, Edifying Words. We did Not hear ONE swear word. It's SO Family Friendly. They gave our Son like 6 crayons to color with, and d they have high chairs. Everything on the menu sounded SO delicious. My Husbamd and I were given gift certificates for Our Anniversary, so we had decided to "treat ourselves" with the Fried Green Maters and the Spinach Articoke Dip! HOLY COW. Their Spinach Artichoke recipe is better than mine... And the Fried Green Maters were just ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING. (This was our first time ever trying them- EVER) The Creamy Mustard they give you with it is smooth and tangy. Whereas the Ranch based sauce was our Favorite and Packed with Flavor that just intensified the flavor of the Maters!!! Astounding. We have never ate such Great Food. (The Burps were just as good!! Haha! ) The Quality and Price of the food are beyond Enjoyable. And VERY LOW PRICED!! The Philly Cheese steak was wonderful and My Husbands Reuban was SO big he couldn't even wrap his mouth around it. Safe to say, we left SO full. And with 4 boxes of Leftovers. We Cannot WAIT to come back. Get your Loved Ones ain't Certificate, and Prepare to have your minds BLOWN. WE WILL BE BACK SOON AND WE Are REALLY looking forward to it. The food was so delectable, we were sad when all the leftovers were gone.NEVER ATE FOOD THAT TASTY OR EVER HAD REMARKABLE SERVICE LIKE THAT. THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD, We even tipped the cooks. We have never had food taste like that, and we have been thinking about it ever since we went. Loved the Signage and Christian Music. This Place is Perfect. God Bless the Owners, Cooks, and ALL the Staff here at this Restaurant. My Recommendations: -FRIED GREEN TOMATOES WITH THE SAUCES... YOU'LL BE THINKING ABOUT IT FOR DAYS!! - Spinach Artichoke Dip!! I have NO words... -Coffee was brewed Fresh and Hot with Robust Taste! -Hot Dogs (for kids) with the Mac N Cheese... our Son LOVED it!! -The Steak Tips, with Onions and Peppers. LITERALLY cooked to Perfection. -The Reuban Sandwich!! -Anything you get, I guarantee will be SO Delicious. Pros: -Great, Quiet Location. Easy to Find with Maps! -The Coffee was Fresh and Flavorful. -Every SINGLE staff member was Courteous, BEYOND Hospitable, and Attentive. Loved forming the Relationships we Did. -BEST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER HAD. -Plenty of Parking -Great Decor, Funny Sinage, very Clean and Welcoming. (We saw People cleaning and taking Pride in their Restaurant when we went) -CHEAP PRICES WITH QUALITY FOOD AND TASTE...I cannot brag on this enough!!! -Portion Sizes will BLOW. YOUR .MIND. (If the Taste and service doesn't do that already.) -Family & Friendly Atmosphere that holds strong to Family and Christian Virtues/Values. Cons: - WHAT IS A CON?!? We Can't WAIT to be back! God Bless!! -The Kanevski's

The best part was when we went to pay, and just because I asked if they do anything for veterans (as I showed my VA card), I get a dirty look from the cashier. All because I asked a question. The serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on the day. It's a little disconcerting when you pull up to my the entrance and slightly more as you step in the dining room. But the place, though worn, is spotlessly clean. The food that they prepare is all scratch made to order. So don't be impatient it's well worth the wait. My wife had corn dogs and fries. The corn dogs had a wonderful crunchy cornmeal crust that reminded me of my childhood (I'm pushing 70). I had the patty melt that had a very tasty yet unknown cheese that was so melty that I loved the sandwich. This place is a little out of the way but if you are anywhere near Johnson City it's worth the effort.

The pancakes were just ok.... They made the batter as we ordered it so it didn't have time to absorb the flour so it wasn't all that good. He said he would try a burrito next time. I loved my biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a darker color but the sausage was so flavorful and it was light in pepper which I like because I don't like pepper. The biscuit was a really great size and fluffy. The bacon is not thick cut but still Crispy and good, eggs were cooked nicely. Now on to the cheddar rounds..... I try these all over but these are the absolute closest you will get to the Pals version. They were lacking the season salt which would have made them taste like Pals. Over all I was very happy and will definitely be back!!! Also the prices were good (pic of menu (included)

For the appetizer I had the Double Dipper. The spinach dip lacked any flavor and the pimento cheese was ok. The bread points were just drowned in butter. The cucumbers were slimy and thinly sliced. Also it came with celery which I don't eat at all. The menu said fresh vegetables. I should have asked. My fault there. I got the French Broad Burger which was pretty good considering. Sweet potato fries were good too. The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly!!! Went early on Saturday evening and unlike before it was slow but with the amount that was there it was a great little chatter time! We split the brisket sliders withe sweet potato fries and the brisket had a good flavor to it but I recommend getting their house BBQ sauce that was sweet with a fruity flavor but also made with veggies like carrots. It was excellent and I brought some home. What a great find for our outing here.
