Amis Mill Eatery is a must visit if you're traveling to or through Rogersville Tennessee. The view from the outdoor seating is absolutely breathtaking, sitting next to a dam with the sound and view of the water raining down, precisely placed plants, just amazing. The indoor seating is gorgeous with a cabin environment and is in direct view of the kitchen where you can see the cooks while they're preparing your meal. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. When we arrived, the deck was at half capacity and there wasn't anyone that chose to sit indoors with it being an unusually warm day in March. When we left, the deck was at full capacity, the indoor seating was bustling but the wait staff never missed a beat. It took less than 15 minutes to get our food after ordering but you're greeted with rolls and some amazing garlic butter when you're seated. The food, the best food I've ever had in a restaurant!! The sautéed green beans seasoned perfectly, the grilled chicken sandwich was just right with a decent sized piece of juicy chicken! The ribs fell off the bone, the fried okra and broccoli, yum!! This will be my go-to anytime I venture into Tennessee.

Out for a drive and ran across the Amis Mill eatery while looking for waterfalls. we found this place and the waterfall (actually it was the spillover from and old dam). The Eatery looked very rustic and quaint with some folks eating out on their screened in porch that overlooked the dam and "waterfall". We were greeted upon entering by a smiling staff and were seated out on the porch per our request. There were some good selections to chose from. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the pulled pork dinner. Our waitress was very nice and our food was very good too. So we found a very nice venue with helpful friendly staff and great food. That's a great combination.

Amazing views from the outdoor seating! Burgers were the best thing here! Would definitely come back.

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at the Amis Mills restaurant. The food was really good. They have the BEST fried green tomatoes! We got seated right away and our food did not take long to come out. It really didn't matter if you took longer than it did because we sat outside and sitting next to the damn is very relaxing and the weather was great.

I came here with my wife and her parents. The service and ambiance was great. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and peppered, but the queso mac was a little bland. I expected more of a kick to it. My wife had the smothered chicken and that's what I will probably have the next time we go.

Great food and great staff. My family dined at Amis Mill yesterday for dinner and it did not disappoint. If you are traveling along interstate 81 and have some spare time, I definitely recommend stopping by to dine. My son went with the ribs and the meat was falling off the bone and I went with the ribeye and it was easily the best steak I ever had. Thank me later!

Where the atmosphere feels like Home and the service makes you feel like Family. Danielle was our server. She was Patient, and Exceptional at her job. She was welcoming, accommodating and personalable. We loved getting to Know Danielle! (Prayers for Caden!) She made sure my Husband and I were filled up on coffee and drinks while we were enjoying our Homecooked meal. I cannot Say ENOUGH good things about this Beyond Hospitable Waitress. Actually, the whole entire team that we met, were just absolutely BEYOND REMARKABLE. From the ARMY dude "Johnson" to Mrs. Freda who sat us and also gave us Great Conversation... I would be BEYOND proud of this Homey Restaurant, if I were it's Owner. Freda gave us the Amazing background on how this place came to be about 14 years ago. And you can just hear how proud she is of this Beautiful Hidden Gem and how far it has come. Thank you for Freda, for the Great Welcoming atmosphere. You're so warm and your Service is Wonderful. "JOHNSON"- We hope to one day see your coat of many colors... and we are hoping to see your "New and Improved Military Attire!!" Haha!! We loved hearing the employees bless each other with Good, Edifying Words. We did Not hear ONE swear word. It's SO Family Friendly. They gave our Son like 6 crayons to color with, and d they have high chairs. Everything on the menu sounded SO delicious. My Husbamd and I were given gift certificates for Our Anniversary, so we had decided to "treat ourselves" with the Fried Green Maters and the Spinach Articoke Dip! HOLY COW. Their Spinach Artichoke recipe is better than mine... And the Fried Green Maters were just ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING. (This was our first time ever trying them- EVER) The Creamy Mustard they give you with it is smooth and tangy. Whereas the Ranch based sauce was our Favorite and Packed with Flavor that just intensified the flavor of the Maters!!! Astounding. We have never ate such Great Food. (The Burps were just as good!! Haha! ) The Quality and Price of the food are beyond Enjoyable. And VERY LOW PRICED!! The Philly Cheese steak was wonderful and My Husbands Reuban was SO big he couldn't even wrap his mouth around it. Safe to say, we left SO full. And with 4 boxes of Leftovers. We Cannot WAIT to come back. Get your Loved Ones ain't Certificate, and Prepare to have your minds BLOWN. WE WILL BE BACK SOON AND WE Are REALLY looking forward to it. The food was so delectable, we were sad when all the leftovers were gone.NEVER ATE FOOD THAT TASTY OR EVER HAD REMARKABLE SERVICE LIKE THAT. THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD, We even tipped the cooks. We have never had food taste like that, and we have been thinking about it ever since we went. Loved the Signage and Christian Music. This Place is Perfect. God Bless the Owners, Cooks, and ALL the Staff here at this Restaurant. My Recommendations: -FRIED GREEN TOMATOES WITH THE SAUCES... YOU'LL BE THINKING ABOUT IT FOR DAYS!! - Spinach Artichoke Dip!! I have NO words... -Coffee was brewed Fresh and Hot with Robust Taste! -Hot Dogs (for kids) with the Mac N Cheese... our Son LOVED it!! -The Steak Tips, with Onions and Peppers. LITERALLY cooked to Perfection. -The Reuban Sandwich!! -Anything you get, I guarantee will be SO Delicious. Pros: -Great, Quiet Location. Easy to Find with Maps! -The Coffee was Fresh and Flavorful. -Every SINGLE staff member was Courteous, BEYOND Hospitable, and Attentive. Loved forming the Relationships we Did. -BEST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER HAD. -Plenty of Parking -Great Decor, Funny Sinage, very Clean and Welcoming. (We saw People cleaning and taking Pride in their Restaurant when we went) -CHEAP PRICES WITH QUALITY FOOD AND TASTE...I cannot brag on this enough!!! -Portion Sizes will BLOW. YOUR .MIND. (If the Taste and service doesn't do that already.) -Family & Friendly Atmosphere that holds strong to Family and Christian Virtues/Values. Cons: - WHAT IS A CON?!? We Can't WAIT to be back! God Bless!! -The Kanevski's

The corn dogs had a wonderful crunchy cornmeal crust that reminded me of my childhood (I'm pushing 70). I had the patty melt that had a very tasty yet unknown cheese that was so melty that I loved the sandwich. The pancakes were just ok.... They made the batter as we ordered it so it didn't have time to absorb the flour so it wasn't all that good. He said he would try a burrito next time. I loved my biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a darker color but the sausage was so flavorful and it was light in pepper which I like because I don't like pepper. The biscuit was a really great size and fluffy. The bacon is not thick cut but still Crispy and good, eggs were cooked nicely. Now on to the cheddar rounds..... I try these all over but these are the absolute closest you will get to the Pals version. They were lacking the season salt which would have made them taste like Pals. Over all I was very happy and will definitely be back!!! Also the prices were good (pic of menu (included)

Last night we ate there with the same couple who dined with us the first time...and we all were quite disappointed, unfortunately. My husband and I shared the NY strip steak. There was a surprising amount of fat for this cut of meat, and the steak also had none of that delicious char you expect. It was a bit underdone for the medium we'd requested, but not too far off. Our friends fared worse. The husband ordered a rib eye and deemed it "just ok." The wife ordered a filet cooked medium and it came out completely rare. She tried eating around the edges but left most of her steak untouched (I would have sent mine back to the kitchen if I were her, but my friend is wary of sending meat back; she said she was afraid it would then be overcooked). Her broccolini side dish was so undercooked that it was basically raw, so she didn't eat that either. The french fries and baked potato were fine, and our server was capable and pleasant. However, given the overall experience, we won't be back. That type of meal is handled much better by Stonewall's in Banner Elk.
