We found this place very last minute as a walk in as wine tasting wasn't on the itinerary! I called them and they were very accommodating. The place is dog friendly with a large open patio with heaters and super friendly hostesses! Their popcorn is to die for and the tasting is also so worth it! It cost us 40 bucks to do the tasting. Bottles start at $50 and also taste great

Fun member party. The vineyards wer beautiful. Their sparkling wines are very good but the refs are great The staff are always friendly.

visited from Orange County and just getting in to wine! stopped by Amista Vineyards and although we did not have a reservation, the tasting experience was amazing! Kerri welcomed us in and did such a wonderful job guiding us through the tasting and providing so much information! Amista is a smaller vineyard and their staff, wines, and property is so gorgeous. I would highly recommend and would visit again! Thank you Kerri, I can't express our gratitude and appreciation of your welcoming service!

Service/Ambiance - we stopped in on a whim and so glad we did. It's so quaint inside the tasting room. VERY dog friendly The staff greets you with a smile and are so welcoming. Wine experience- Luke was AWESOME! We felt so relaxed and not rushed. Maybe because it wasn't so busy, but we had the most enjoyable time. Luke provided the best service and was so personable. The popcorn was the Bomb. The flights of all 3 (reds, whites and bubble) were decent. I really liked the Crystilina and the rest of us like the Syrah. We can't wait to come back for another visit especially when we can sit outside. We can't wait

My friend is a member here and came to visit as part of our Sonoma winery day. So glad we did! Love family wineries, and they even had a welcome sign for our party. I believe it was Tammy and Alex that served us our tastings, and they were phenomenal! They took their time pouring us our tastings, served us delicious fresh popcorn and took their time to explain their wines. Did not feel rushed here at all. We fell in love with their syrah and sparkling syrah and took a handful bottles home. They have seating indoors and the outdoor seating section is beautiful as well. I love that it is dog friendly and will make sure to bring Rocco on my next visit!

    Beautiful views of their vineyards!

What an amazing little slice of Dry Creek Valley heaven! My friends and I tasted here during the WineLove weekend tasting event, and Amista was personally my favorite winery out of the 5 that we tried. Everything from the setup, to the wine, to the service was absolutely wonderful. Amista specializes in sparkling wines which isn't too common in this part of the valley, but damn did we enjoy their sparkling! And not just their sparkling wines; we enjoyed ALL of their wines! Their estate is so charming. It's cute and quaint but super relaxing and comfortable. It's great for a more intimate wine tasting experience. They've got an adorable Barnyard style indoor tasting room and a gorgeous back and side patio space that overlooks their beautiful vineyards. We chose to sit near the vineyards of course because, I mean... why not?! We LOVED Kerri! Her personality, her expertise... it was on 10, baby! She was so bubbly and fun. She knew exactly how to appease our palates and described everything that we were tasting down to a tee. I love a well seasoned sommelier, especially with tons of personality! We started off with their scrumptious sparkling Syrah. That's right, you heard me correct; sparkling SYRAH! I'll be honest, I've had a few sparkling reds in my day, but none have ever been from a Syrah grape. I was skeptical at first (mainly because I'm not a huge fan of either), BUT... it was exquisite. It's literally the perfect sparkling red; not too sweet, not too bubbly, and not too dry. Before my visit here, the best sparkling reds that I'd ever tasted were from Domaine Chandon and Korbel (limited edition and not found in stores). Welp, this sparkling Syrah trumped both of those. I really enjoyed this one. Their red wines are equally delicious. I actually really liked the softness of their estate Syrah. I usually have to prepare myself for Syrah since it tends to be bolder in the tannins, but this one was smooth sailing. My absolute favorite was their Tres red blend though. I mean WOW! The Tres red blend is their take on a GSM (Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre). Honey, when I tell you that my eyes perked up after tasting the first sip of this. Talk about well balanced! It was like a mouth full of velvety goodness. Copped a bottle of that immediately. Finding a good GSM has always been tough for me, so I had to take this baby home and with the quickness. I've since drank the bottle, but that only means that I need to make a trip back to get more (wink wink). I can't forget to mention the treats! They had the best popcorn! And they also provided us with chocolate to pair with the Syrah. Damn was it good! This was definitely one of my favorite Dry Creek Valley wine tasting experiences to date. If you're into sparkling wines and well balanced reds, you need to put Amista at the top of your list.

A Sunday July 2020 visit for Pizza day. 10" hand made pie by Mazza catering. Only two pizza versions. A sauce free goat cheese arugula fig jam pie or a sauce free Za' Atar covered crust. I bought both. $18 each. I was not wowed by either. My lovely spouse, Yelp Elite Barbara S. liked them better than I. We bought a bottle of the $38 Chardonnay. Mildly buttery, some oak, but not offensive. A drinkable summer white wine. Again not my favorite as I prefer a more French style that features minerals and brightness from higher acid, but the Amista is acceptable. Servers are gracious, informative and eager to please. Patio are is spacious. Covid distances are observed and then some. Everyone wore masks except to eat and drink. If you want a calm winery visit at a pretty setting, this place will work for you.

Beautiful views great sparkling wine in Dry Creek Valley. We were greeted with their exquisite Blanc de Blanc along with their delicious popcorn. Then we got to walk their vineyard estate which is beautiful. With did a walk around all their vineyard. When we got back we got to taste some more of their sparkling wine which included the Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. One of my favorites was the sparkling Syrah because was my first time tasting it and was pleasantly refreshing. Ambiance was perfect, This the perfect place to spend a romantic evening with a loved one. Customer Service is excelente and got to meet Vicky and Ashley were hosts. I will give this winery a 5 star in every thing Presentation, Customer Service and mainly on their wine.

Alex was an absolute gem during our tasting on New Year's Eve! We appreciated how she showcased both the sparkling and still wines of the same varietals back-to-back so we could truly appreciate the grapes. We're also big fans of popcorn, what a lovely surprise to have it served with our tasting! They don't just have great sparkling wines, but they're one of the few local vineyards that has planted all of the key Rhône GSM grapes - Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre. It's fairly tough to find in Sonoma and with a chance to taste both estate, single-vineyards and the blends. Can't wait to come back and try the newest sparkling releases in the spring!

This winery definitely gets props for the most beautiful vineyard seating we visited in Healdsburg. The outside seating is located right by the vineyards, so the view is absolutely breathtaking. And apparently it's a solar powered patio you're sitting on right next to the vineyard. We didn't think we'd still be hungry after other cheese boards and caviar, but our tummy's were rumbling. So we ordered a yummy cheese and charcuterie board and a popcorn snack. The popcorn was actually super delicious and my favorite snack! I could have eaten a pound of it. As for the wine however, this was probably my least favorite of the ones we visited. I enjoyed one of the sparkling wines, but I didn't drink most of the other wine we were poured. I am more of a sweet or bubbly wine drinker, and a lot of the other wine was of a drier variety or of a different taste (e.g., most of their sparkling wine is red/pink instead of white). I enjoyed the Sparkling Blanc de Blanc (which is more of a traditional white sparkling wine), but the Sparkling Syrah, Sparkling Grenache, and the Sparkling Mataró were not really my taste. But don't let that stop you, because I'm fairly certain that my wine palette taste is of the minority (lol) and lots of other people probably love it. And the next time I come (yes, I will be back), I'll just grab a glass or bottle of the Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, would come back here especially for the beautiful view of the vineyards with just a glass (or a bottle to share with someone) of the Amista Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, a cheese and charcuterie board, and popcorn.

I contacted Gene several weeks in advance of our trip and he managed to address all of our varied interests. Specifically, we were interested in learning more about the winemaking process, biodynamic wineries, and tasting bold reds and some sparkling wine. Gene put together the following schedule for us, and we could not be more thrilled. Stonestreet Winery - Pretty good, but pricey, Cabernet Sauvignon. Too bad because the tasting room staff were really knowledgeable and friendly. Lancaster Estate - Our favorite! Here Gene scheduled a private tour of the estate and wine cave (where the barrels are stored). They only make four wines (sauvignon blanc, a cuvee, a cab, and a signature bordeaux blend), all of which are absolutely impeccable. We even considered joining the wine club, but the waiting list was too long for my patience. Robert Young Estate - Good scion; also known for their chardonnay but I personally found it too buttery. Tasting room staff was kinda tipsy too... Truett Hurst - A biodynamic winery specializing in zinfandel. I especially love their 2006 Red Rooster zin, which is really spicy and unusual (think cloves and cardamom). Montemaggiore - A small (10 acre), organic, estate winery owned by a family that's recently entered the winemaking trade. Gene scheduled an hour-long private chat with the owner/winemaker, and it was a phenomenal educational experience! Highly recommended. Many of the winery staff also seemed to really know and respect Gene, so they also gave us considerably more attention when we would walk in with Gene =) Go to tripadvisor.com if you want to see more reviews of Gene's services.
