I want to share my experiences at AmAp. This is not just a shop. This is a home. I have found a spiritual place where I feel good. The place is so well designed; Dani and Dina are totally amazing. The staff help at every turn. You can get a reading any day of the week by anyone that's great. I can't recommend the psychic staff in addition to the on-site staff that gives assistance enough. This is the best shop on Long Island and it's even competing with Manhattan shops. I lived in Manhattan. I know all the shops there. I am happy being here. This Monday is the official release of Dina's new Tarot deck called,"The Crystal Keys Tarot." This deck is so amazing. Its becoming my regular deck. Her heart, soul and mind are in it. Dina's warmth, humor and precision come right off the cards and the pages. She is likely to sell out for a second time. Dina and Dani are the greatest team out there. This is a shop of inspiration, caring and acceptance. Those are their non-negotiables I have found. I have bought something of everything in their shop. If you're looking for a tarot reading, Sam is the one you need to see. She's incredibly accurate and has consistently impressed me with her insights. Not only is she easy to talk to, but she also takes her time and makes sure to address anything important that comes up during the reading or any cards that happen to fly out - I've never once felt rushed out and if she's in the middle of an interesting point and the timer goes off she straight up ignores it to continue on. She's truly amazing at her craft and great to her clients. My boyfriend and I both see her, and honestly, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. We go there a few times a year whenever we feel like we need a little spiritual checkup. Sometimes I'll be waiting in the shop for my boyfriend's reading to finish up and the time seriously flies, because the shop is so dense with cool things to look at and I rarely leave empty handed. The selection of stones, spell candles, cleansing bundles and incense are my favorite, and I could spend an hour in there easily just browsing through everything. Also there are sometimes dogs and who doesn't love an awesome dog? There's also a back patio area and if it's nice out it's peaceful to wait there while your friends are having readings done. I do not recommend Amityville apothecary. I went there, one of the owners (I assume an owner) a heavish blonde 55 ish age woman, was very condescending if not arrogant. I mentioned something about being interested in a few "spices" good for warding off evil and she laughed at me (regardless of what I want it for I felt that was unnecessary, for Pete's sake I can go buy it at ShopRite but I was also simply curious as to their store , what they sold, as I have lived here 15 yrs never went inside. I should have stayed out, now I really need the sage. I was not quite sure how an "Apothecary" differed from a drug store. Now I know. (alot of books on Witchcraft, spells etc. ) Just "dark stuff" imo. These people inside the store quite simply creeped me out, hence the reason for this review. I did have a much shorter review on here a few days ago which was mysteriously removed by Yelp this morning; I was notifed via email by Yelp that my review was not explicit /specific enough. Is this explicit enough or do you want me to go on further? I can. I am trying to be somewhat polite here. I don't like the store, kind of stuffy feeling in there, if that was the owner didn't much care for her and the other 2 people in the store whoever they were. They seemed weird. I have been to a few different stores but nothing like Amityville apothecary. Everyone is so nice, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They have a huge assortment of herbs, tarot cards, crystals, incense, pendulums, wands, all sorts of witchy items... they hold classes and events, prices are great. I've watched and bought from their live shows on friday nights. They ship anyhwere in the united states which is great since I no longer live on long island. Anytime i'm on long island I have to stop by and buy something and or picking up and order. I've attended one event so far. Definitely will attend more events and classes in the near future. I had intended to go to their broom making class, but my Mom got sick, so I couldn't go. I called and asked if I could just pick up the supplies, and was told yes Of Course come the next day. He said he would have the items put aside for me. I just went to Amityville Apothecary and they have a shop pet golden retriever dog awww . Ruby the dog was smiling at me when I arrived. When I checked out the lady gave me stickers & one is of Ruby the dog . Sooo cute! The lady helping me gave me lots of interesting and helpful information about crystals that are right for my current situations. I like that she guided me to a bracelet of crystals I can keep ON me that was a crystal of my most personal current situation. Some of the other crystals she selected were cool as they are shaped as stars . I like that each crystal in the jars are unique. So it's fun holding each one and seeing which one feels like it belongs with me. I also loved the incense that was burning when I was shopping, so I decided to buy some to take home. I'd never actually purchased my own incense, and only enjoy it at my yoga classes I go to or my friends' houses. So I was clueless and again the lady helped me figure out good choices. I also love the year of the rabbit sticker I was given at checkout with my purchase. My new home actually has wild rabbits in my yard as well as my whole neighborhood. I think that's adorable so rabbits are meaningful for this year to me. I will be back to this amazing Amityville Apothecary. I'm sure everything I bought will be wonderful, but just BEING in their store is a fun, calming experience in itself. Everything is arranged in such a beautiful way. Visit Date: January 30, 2022 I checked out this place with one of my friends and I wasn't going to buy a new tarot deck but I got a second oracle tarot deck. Right now I'm okay on crystals well not okay I could always get more but probably I have what I need so even though the crystal selection was amazing I wasn't looking. In a back room they had a whole section of tarot decks and spiritual books. I picked the guardian angel tarot deck to use as well as the other deck I bought called the good tarot. I've now been to this store twice. The energy is great. There are so many different things to see and explore. Crystals, stones, reading material, essential oils, jewelry, tarot, etc. When I went today I learned of the backyard. It was a complete energy recharging atmosphere. My friends I took some time to relax and just enjoy. My friend also found some really cool stones and crystals outside. At least 6...and he was only charged $5! Okay, so this place is amazing. I've been here twice so far and the vibe is just really chill. They have pretty much anything that you might possibly need to perform whatever work you intend to do. I've met the owner and she's very knowledgeable of the products which I find impressive. The only thing that I don't like is that everytime I've been here, they ask me what I'm working on. I recently visited this crystal store for the first time with my friend, after getting what we needed we proceeded to check out the Athenaeum ,their tarot and books section right next door , my friend and I were the only two customers in the store , however we did not have a good experience. i was checking out their jar of keychains with the intentions of getting one for one of my friends , I decided to stop looking as i wasn't sure my friend was going to like it , few seconds after , the co owner Danielle deacy , rudely told me " you know we have cameras right ? " very confused by this comment I proceeded to ask what she meant by that to which she once again , not so politely asked to check my bag from my previous purchase from the crystal shop ( very small pouch , I also did not have a personal bag on me for her to make assumptions ) I let her check my bag as i obviously wasn't hiding anything and of course as expected she did not find anything either , yet told me i looked very suspicious , during this whole interaction I remained very nice and respectful to her , however she was being nice to my friend ( a white person ) and making assumptions about me ( a Hispanic person with an accent ) she mentioned thats how people usually steal , which I understand but never did she ever apologized to me for making such an accusation and being wrong about it. Not only was this a very bad customer service and not the right way to approach someone , but as a spiritual business with the description of "judgement free - high vibes only space " it did not feel like it at all , I was accused of stealing yet no apology was made when it was proved otherwise, it was very disappointing and upsetting because it defeats the whole purpose of a spiritual store where a positive environment is provided, specially when this treatment came from the owner read more

I was so excited to visit for the first time after discovering them on tiktok where the owners will answer questions and post informative videos. They are so sweet, helpful and welcoming. The store is GORGEOUS and so much larger on the inside. I just love the energy of the place, I didn't want to leave! After much perusing, I bought an evil eye pendulum and angel aura quartz and my friend purchased a few crystals of her own. The prices are extremely reasonable. We really loved the jewelry and tarot deck selections and and couldn't choose something in the moment as it was getting close to closing, so we've decided to come back with our next paychecks! My first visit was uncomfortable and I didn't find the items I needed. I always give a small business at least 2 visits before I make up my mind . I went back and it was even worse the second time. Too many reasons to list and not the reason I'm posting this review. I decided it wasn't for me and I would just go back to driving the long distance to my favorite Metaphysical store where the service and selection is always impeccable. Today my 18 year old Daughter told me she was going to Amityville Apothecary, and asked if I would join her. I reminded her that I didn't shop there. So she brought her 20 year old Boyfriend. It's a very happy weekend. She just had Prom and tomorrow is her Graduation. Lots of celebrating. Well they went to the store to pick out a bunch of small tumbled crystals. They like to take their time. Not only did they not get any customer service... they were accused of stealing!!! The girl at the counter made her boyfriend empty his pockets and accused him of " shielding " my Daughter while she was stealing. After realizing that nothing was taken, the store associate didn't even apologize. My Daughter still bought her crystals because she really wanted them. Being the Mama Bear that I am I wanted to go back there with them and insist on an apology. But my Daughter wouldn't go back. I hope the owner sees this and understands that I will be informing everyone in all of the groups I am associated with of my experiences and especially my Daughters experience.
