Came here with two of my friends and we had such a relaxing afternoon! Not to mention, the place was spotless and had cute items you can shop for from local businesses! Carol, the owner was so informative and made us feel at home. Once we got into the cave, we took a blanket and sat in the gravity chairs which were so comfortable. Music is being played and we truly relaxed. Check their website for weekly events and specials! Can't wait to come back

Really relaxing! We came in, and the building was clean and spotless with a lot of natural/herbal items for sale. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.. Please wear socks! Cubbies for your shoes are provided as well as a blanket. I was allowed to bring in my purse into the room with us. The music was soft and soothing as well.

Let's try out the healing effects!

Beautiful, Peaceful Salt Cave in a nook of Huntington that brings a healthy Adult Therapeutic Nap/Meditation time (as I call/view it) for just about anyone looking to re-center and try a newer way to cleanse mind, body & soul. Note that this experiance is considered - Halotherapy, aka salt therapy. Its touted as being a natural alternative treatment for a wide variety of ailments and conditions like asthma, allergies, inflammation and even the common cold. Sessions run 45-60 mins with you entering the cave surrounded by Salt on the walls, ceiling and floor. You approach an available zero gravity chair and get conformable. They supply you with a small blanket, but you can also bring your own. Only rules are to wear your socks on way in...no shoes, can leave those out in the cubbies. Do not bring in mobile phone devices as it will counter act with the negative ion vibes, so not getting the full benefit/affects from the salt. Try not to talk/speak to others once the soothing wave sounds are on, salt air blowing in and door closed for the session. Finally lay back and breathe in. :) Supposively by simply breathing in these negatively-charged, ionized salt particles along with the 84 trace elements and minerals that the salt contains, such as: calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, iodine, bromine, copper, selenium, and iron; These particles help to clear all pollens, viruses, pollutants and toxins of the lungs and nasal passageways. In essence this works to treat and prevent illness. Additionally, the salt is said to also work to heal the body as soon as its negative ions enter the nasal passageway, through to the respiratory tract and into the bloodstream, dispersing throughout the body. The salt is naturally anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-microbial. So if you are seeking a natural alternative to try and allievate any of the claimed aliments that i listed above as i am, then i would strongly recommend giving them a try. This was my second time, as it was a good as the first experience. I even brought my mom this time as a birthday gift experience from me to her and she walked out saying that she did feel that her sinuses felt a bit clearer. :) They also have a small shop area if you are interested in purchasing salt items, essential oils and small inspirational items. They also offer other services like yoga, reiki, kundalini and more, but don't expect to pick up a paper schedule while there. They really only do all their advertising it seems via Facebook or Instagram, as per the pleasant employee at front desk mentioned when asked. I can't wait to schedule my next Salt Cave experience. :)

My session was incredibly relaxing. Between the pumped-in salt-enriched air, the zero gravity chair and soft blanket, the soothing glowing lights and music...I felt a wave of relaxation come over me and eventually fell asleep, deeply. I awoke and felt so refreshed and calm. I'd been battling a nagging cough, left over from a cold and some allergies, and felt I could breathe much better afterward. The staff were friendly and the space was welcoming, bright and clean. We will return!

This is a beautiful place. I purchased a Groupon for two salt cave visits. Both experiences were wonderful. Excellent, professional staff and an extremely calming, zen atmosphere. The salt cave room is exceptionally beautiful with a faux fireplace built out of salt blocks. Very relaxing and cozy. My second salt cave visit back in February included a reiki healing session. I left feeling so relaxed and energized. I look forward to returning back here soon! Thank you!

I went to the Montauk Salt Cave not knowing really what I was going to experience. I have to say that it was very relaxing and a comfortable experience. You are brought into a room with salt rocks under your feet as well as on the walls. You sit in a gravity chair and are given a blanket. The doors shut and you are in the dark with twinkling lights above you and soothing waves on a sound machine. The room is at a nice temperature and smells very nice. There were ten chairs in the room but only 4 people when I went. It was a positive experience to which I will soon return.

This was my first time attending Montauk salt cave in Huntington. I took my boyfriend for a normal session just to test the waters. If it's your first time it's $25!! We were helped by a woman named Joy. She was super awesome. She explained everything thoroughly to us and then helped us choose another session with reiki and Tibetan singing bowls ! She was so patient and informative and I really appreciate it. The place was super organized, clean, and well kept. Once you get in the room you lie down on a gravity chair and listen to mediation music. It's extremely relaxing and they say the salt is so good for you. The only issue I had was one guy started snoring and in order to get him to stop I had to toss a little salt from the ground at him But that got him to stop. As long as you don't got a snorer you have to wake it's amazing. I love this place and Joy was so fantastic and helpful. Definitely check this place out ! Remember ! If someone's snoring just asSALT them with salt if need be :P overall wonderful experience; beautiful place. UPDATE: just went for a reiki healing session with Debra. We sat in the cave; she played the Tibetan singing bowls and then did reiki on us. The experience was absolutely fantastic. This was Extremely relaxing and Debra was so pleasant and kind. After the session she told us what signs or things she would see when performing reiki on us and she was spot on with literally everything she told us. 11/10 such a great experience

This place was very clean and very relaxing! We really enjoyed ourselves and It was so comfortable!!! It was a little cold in there but they give you a blanket!! We went into the salt cave with a few other strangers and there you see lounge chairs and the whole floor is made out of Himalayan salt. The cave is so adorable!! It's very dark in there once they begin. They went through a relaxing guided meditation with voice and sounds. We got It on Groupon and It was worth It! I would definitely go back!!

A very chill, wind down experience. Slightly off the Huntington path but definitely worth it for a relaxing experience.

No!! Wear any comfortable clothing - wear socks as you will only be removing your shoes!

I was given a session as a gift, a nice gesture, but I have concerns. What safety measures are being taken here?

What are the price points here? Outside of GROUPON deals

    I'm pretty sure it's still $40.

The classes are always interesting; but more than that I'm always so impressed by the people attending the classes! Every time I've been there thus far, I'd say the people that go are hardcore meditators for the most part. No challenges, discussions, egoic banter, attention seeking, or shallowness... everyone goes, listens, stays still and quiet during the meditations (no one falls asleep either! Or if they have, they're awfully quiet about it), and then leaves. It's... amazing. Really.

Different teachings are appropriate to different people, and there's a place in the world and a right audience for those teachings that impart a few drops of the Buddha's message in a solution of colorful and dramatic Asian cultural beliefs and New Age mysticism. As long as those few drops of the Buddha's teaching remain in the solution, it has the potential to help some people progress along the Buddhist path, and if what you hear and experience at the Dipamkara Center resonates with you, then it's probably the right teaching for where you're at right now. Especially so if you're not looking specifically for the Buddha, but are just seeking some peace and calm and help and comfort from wherever it may come. I just want those who do seek a purer, more undiluted view of the Buddha's teaching - which is definitely not comfortable for everybody - to understand that it is available elsewhere (on and off Long Island), and to continue their search. I'm not giving five stars here just because Yelp describes five stars as meaning, "as good as it gets", and, just as, for some people, Dipamkara is the absolute perfect thing, so for others there is better than Dipamkara to be had. *bow*

It is unlike any kind I've tried before and if I had to describe how it made me feel I'd say it's still work but you leave feeling very relaxed. Moreso than other types I've tried.
