My family and I have visited the Salt Cave several times over the past few months and always have a relaxing and wonderful experience. Such a wonderful place! I have been to several Himalayan salt caves in the past and I think I have now found my favorite! (If you haven't been - nothing beats the feeling of reclining in a zero gravity chair in such a therapeutic space.) This was the first salt cave experience of the two friends who joined me, and now they are hooked :) It's easy to miss in Inspiration Wharf (have to walk towards the water from the main road) in a lower-level shop. Another friend told me she was in Inspiration Wharf earlier today and didn't realize the Port Salt Cave was there. The shop itself is so lovely and I adore the owners! We had trouble leaving because we were admiring all the crystals, jewelry, Himalayan salt, blown glass and crafts. We also had trouble leaving because the energy in the shop feels great - partially due to the Himalayan salt and partially due to the energy of all the crystals. My 2 friends were curious as to what a "salt cave" was so we asked to see the inside of it from the salt cave room entrance. This is one of the loveliest salt cave rooms I have ever seen. There was a 2 for 1 special and the room was currently vacant so we took that as a sign and booked the hour session. For safety each of our temperatures were taken before we could enter, and for sanitary reasons we each put coverings on our shoes. From there we chose a zero gravity chair and were given information about the room before the session started. There is the calming sound of a waterfall in the room plus relaxing music over the speakers. All three of us highly recommend the shop and the salt cave and can't wait to go back! read more

By far the best salt cave & I've been too many because of my respiratory illnesses from Sept 11. The amount of salt floating around the cave is 10X more than any other cave I've been too. Sue the owner is best! She's a Compassionate sweetheart that really cares about her customers health. I believe 1st impressions says a lot. We called to make an appointment with Sue to try out the salt cave for the first time. Initially we were received with the worst display of customer service you can possibly imagine. There was attitude being given, condescending tone and it was all due to asking harmless questions such as "what are the benefits" in which she snarked and mentioned "what wasn't clear from the website?". Reluctantly, we booked the appointment but the exchange definitely put a bad taste in our mouth. We were going to go because we've always spoken about going there since we're new to the town and always thought of getting that experience. Upon looking up her number to call back and cancelling we found another locally in Roslyn that gave us the opposite experience completely and it became a no brainer to give them the business instead (we also learned of a nursing & firefighter discount that applies which Sue mentioned she couldn't accommodate due to impacts of the pandemic). As we called to cancel, she disrespectfully says "I knew you were going to cancel" and hung up. Her tone and overall language was just derogatory and the most unfortunate part of it all is that she lost business simply because of her lack of compassion and overall her customer service skills that she clearly lacks. We will never know how the experience could be because we just don't believe in supporting small business who do not treat people with common decency. My next plan of action is to contact the Better Business Bureau for the unpleasantry of Sue with the hopes that no one has to ever experience this. read more

The review by Stephen D. is complete BS. Two people including the owner of Port Salt Cave told this ass that he couldn't park where he was. This moron drove past and sign and then and parked in front of a sign that said "No Parking" for the bar he was going to next door. When she politely told this waste of skin that he couldn't park, parking was across this street, this guy immediately went off on the woman. I was just up the sidewalk and watched the whole thing. Everything Stephen D. said is a lie. He never went farther into the Cave than the front door. This guy is a complete a-hole. That being said, after mister Richard Cranium left, I had a very relaxing session in the Cave. My allergies have been going crazy this spring and I decided to give a salt cave a try after hearing a lot about it. I gotta tell you I felt like a million bucks after. Way better than benadryl and the side affect is you feel great! I was also a little hung over and I swear it helped with my hang over. Great place, great location right on the water. Went for an ice cream after. Ice cream store across the street is really good. All in all a great experience after the ahole finished having his fit. Loved my experience at the Salt Cave. This was my second visit and I think it was even better than the first since I knew what to expect. Let me say that I rented the entire cave both times and used the experience as a business networking activity. Everyone loved it and I've been asked to run it again. Sue couldn't have been more accommodating and she did a great job of explaining the benefits and what we could expect. I went into the Cave stressed beyond belief after a full day of work and some client commotion. I walked out feeling mellow and happy, my stuffy nose clear and a smile on my face. Even before the Salt cave opened, the owners, Sue and Lori were kind enough to give us a tour and meet the man who created it. We learned about how/why it was made and got to explore with our children. Since then,I've been coming to the salt cave weekly. It's been a blessing to this town and our community. On Fridays we get to bring Reiki to the people and heal our bodies in a very loving soothing and relaxing environment. From the minute you walk in you feel the healing energy of the salts. There is a lovely gift shop so thoughtfully curated with offerings that have to do with energy work, crystals and of course pink salt, locker room and Young Living aromatherapy even in the bathroom!! It's so close to shopping and restaurant areas you can make a fun day with your friends and even enjoy a walk on the pier or town docks. I highly recommend this place to adults and children that need healing salt therapies or just want to unwind and enjoy the ambiance. read more

Clean and relaxing! Don't expect to bring in anything with you and note that your shoes will come off - there are lockers, and hospital style sanitary booties are provided. You'll barely notice them. You WILL notice stepping on rock salt without shoes. Once inside the cave we were given a little history of halotherapy and then left to relax. It's a little cheesy inside, with fake stalactites made from insulation and a little night sky thing on the ceiling but I liked it. The light through the salt on the walls was very soothing. Blankets were also provided because the temperature was in the sixties. Keep this in mind if you get cold easily! I found the prices for everything to be reasonable and we all made a few purchases from the shop on top of our session prices. Parking was really good. The owners were friendly and in good humor. I saw an ad for meditations in the salt cave too, which I'd like to go back for. read more
