Food was mediocre, if that. Frozen bag of empanadas at the grocery store would have probably been better, and have more substance / filling. While the food was mid, the service was absolutely terrible. After having the nerve to charge nearly $20 for 4 tiny "empanadas" full of air, the man working the register got visibly upset at both us and the people behind us in line for not leaving a tip, and rolled his eyes / threw up his hands. I had the opportunity to try Amkha Misky Peruvian Food Truck when they stopped by my work to cater for an event. We had the Queen's Avocado Entree with rice, mild or spicy salsa, and either beef, chicken or spinach empanada. I really liked the Queen's Avocado and their rice and spicy salsa! The chicken on top of the avocado was moist and balanced out the dish. Our company opted for more of a healthier option to help cater our vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free employees. The owner was very nice to work with and helped us customize the dishes if we needed to. What fell a little short were their empanadas. There wasn't enough filling in the empanada. I would say the ratio was 80% dough, 20% filling. We have an employee who is Peruvian and she was disappointed in the dish. However, other employees said it was a good healthy option! I had combo 4 (beef and fries on rice) from their food truck. Overall, not very impressed. Here is why: Food - nothing special. Very blend taste. I would've given 3 if I didn't have a few bites of rice that was still cold and hard. It feels like their rice was cooked before and was defrosted. Beef wasn't that fresh either (some pieces with fat had stale taste). Disappointing Price - Portion is way too small for the price - even after accounting for food truck premium. Had a chance to go back thanks to an invite from the owner, which I super appreciated. Have to give kudos to an owner taking pride in her business and trying to make customers happy and make things right. I am also willing to give most businesses a second chance as well. This time I got the number 1 combo which is a potato filled with meat (beef) and onions on top, an empanada, rice, and salad. This was $10. I will say right off the bat there is a lot of food in the combos and a pretty decent value for the $. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. The fair was satisfying for a quick lunch. It didn't knock my socks off but it didn't disappoint either. I thought the rice was actually very flavorful for rice, the potato was perfectly cooked. I thought the pickled onions on top were a nice touch. The meat, empanada, and salad were pretty standard. Tried this truck in the roundup at Kiwanis park on July 24th. It had the shortest line. The generator is too close to the ordering window which makes yelling a necessity, especially with a mask. The club sandwich ($9) was made with a hamburger bun and the contents were so salty that I couldn't finish it. It was overpriced in the first place, but also terrible. The fruit slushy ($4) was tasty and seemed like it had pieces of real fruit. It was good, but there was way too much syrup compared to ice. I had to wait about 10 min for my order. I usually get a combo with the chicken salad stuffed Queen avocado, with an empanada on the side, with spicy sauce. This is filling and delicious. The avocados are always in good shape, which I can't even manage at home. The sauce adds a hint of spice and flavor that ties it all together. This is one of my all time favorite food trucks, and for the quality and quantity of food, the pricing is extremely fair! read more

There is nothing Peruvian about this place. So much potential, so many Peruvian flavors and the only thing Peruvian on the menu is Inca Cola. If this was a real Peruvian place they would do fresh Lomo Saltado, Ceviche in a cup, Papas rellenos, SOMETHING but I got a Kneaders Chicken sandwich with cheap Clover brand chips.
