I flew all during the day just to go wait at a hotel that IM NOT STAYING PERMANENTLY to just wait in line for MORE hrs. Did not make it to the hotel until 1am just for he next morning wait an additional 4 hrs for a shuttle that NEVER came to go back and finish check offs that I'm late for. Also heard that while I was waiting for a shuttle, there's a line wrapped around the building for check offs. This is my worst experience ever. I have worked for this company for 3 years now and have done so many contracts within the 3 years, making them so much money. I referred a friend who has now done 2 contracts with them and I have yet to receive my referral bonus. As with the previous reviews this company has an issue sending out their measly referral bonuses that they offer. It is not even a large amount of money... the corporate greed is sad really.... They treat their nurses extremely poorly and smile to your face and stab you in the back especially my recruiter Katie Vernor. They try to get you to take jobs because it's all about commission. There is no transparency between what you get and what the hospital pays. The industry needs to change !!!!! They lie and say how valuable we are and how they care. They don't it's all about money and shareholders. Go with a smaller company that's not publicly traded. I got long haul covid they kicked me off workman's comp quickly. I was forced to go back to work before I should have. It's taken two and a half yrs and they still haven't paid my medical bills or compensated me and they keep stalling. They hide behind their insurance companies and the lawyers that represent them and they are slime balls. Now I was forced to apply for disability so they can hoist you onto the taxpayer even though they are a multimillion dollar company and I was getting 600 s week workman's comp far below my pay. They are all liars they don't care about nurses at all !!!! I hope they go out of business and I will continue to write about them. read more

This agency has done an awful job. They owe me three referral bonuses for referring three rns who all took contracts with them. They guaranteed multiple times that I would get all three. I myself signed on for two contracts and they were both cancelled last minute. Then i find out they are not paying me two of my referral bonuses. When my two referrals only reason they knew about certain contracts because i referred them to my recruiter. They're stating because they filled out an application a year ago EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER TOOK A CONTRACT, I don't get my referral bonuses. I have made this company thousands and they are not paying me what I am owed. And then two contracts were cancelled?! As a rn their dishonesty and lack of following up and following through is beyond ridiculous. I would never take a contract with them. They will guarantee you things multiple times but they'll never do what they say. They'll keep all the profit to themselves. I've wasted so much time and energy on this agency. He made sure that everything was corrected and that I was working. He made me feel as if my "plight" mattered and was a high priority. Picked up a travel contract under referral from a colleague of mine, did my 6 weeks assignment and they did not pay out the referral bonus that they promised. I also referred a colleague of mine to do another assignment hoping that I would get a referral bonus as well, it has been almost 6 months now and till this day none of us got paid our referral bonus. Saddest part is i don't care much for the bonus now it just a matter of principle at this point. I spent 5 weeks working with them and they were lovely. But the DAY before my contract was to start they called and said the contract between AMN and hospital was not valid. Great facility to have classes in. Lecture hall is big and there is lots of room to spread out. Parking is always available. The hosting facility was very accommodating of our large class size. Although I did not indulge in the cafeteria food, many nurses in the course with me did and it always smelled delicious. Bathrooms were clean and the surrounding areas were very serene! Eating lunch outside was pretty special considering there were multiple wooden tables, some with shade and some with sun. Out front there was a large fountain with a bench where you could relax between classes. Only downside, be warned- your butt will go numb! The seats in the lecture hall aren't lazy boys However, they get the job done! Best of luck! read more

Interviewed with 2 senior managers. Both were there less than one year. Given the seniority of their positions that was a red flag. I got a bad vibe from talking to the interviewers about the company and got a sense there was a ton of politics. The departments seemed disconnected and their own department seemed disconnected from other departments. What kind of company has their talent recruiter says we don't hire jerks! That's what the recruiter said to me during the interview process. Now this was not directed to me but still this was totally inappropriate!I It sets a negative tone and makes me wonder why a company has to instruct their employees to be respectful and honest. Interviewed for a position at this company as a temp and they treated me with distrust and extreme scrutiny during the interview process. I was fully qualified for the position, professional, kind, and honest. Again from my conversations it seems like this company is really disconnected. Even if I was given an offer I would have turned it down. They also told me they don't have an official approved requisition, during the interview, which was not shared with me via my staffing agency recruiter. Because they didn't disclose that information to my recruiter. My brother in law worked there. He had not one positive thing to say about the company. read more

Sent me to a contract, the contract wasn't ready for me to work I ended up paying for my own housing and lost 5 weeks of wages as well as the paid housing and travel! This company does it absolutely all wrong. They tote that they are the biggest staffing company in healthcare, which they are, but it's because they buy up every company to try to diversify their business. What does that mean for the employees, you are absolutely a number and a dollar sign. If they don't like you they will push you out of the company. I worked there for almost 4 years. I started in a lower level position and was promoted a few times. Although their made up titles and pay didn't make up for all the of additional responsibilities that was dumped on me. As well as the expectations that were placed on me to just pump people out of training 100% ready to role. Any who, some of the people their are great people. Normally they are lower level management though. Things get very diluted and very fake as you climb the corporate ladder. Leading to the heads of the departments and of the company. They are so out of touch with what is happening on the ground floor you'd be amazed. If their minds everything is great with the company. This a great place to get professional experience but, not somewhere you want to grow a career. Gain all the experience you can and then go to a company that will actually pay you and appreciate you. To all the nurses out there... do not work for this company. They are fake and do not care for the well being of nurses or how their reckless decisions can impact the livelihood of nurses and their families. I had already started my contract at a hospital when my recruiter called me to tell me I could not finish my contract because I fell my drug screening test. I had surgery and was taking pain meds. I told them that I had a prescription from my Dr. and she said that it did not matter that it was against company policy. I have worked for several agencies and never had this happened to me or any other nurse I know. They went further with this and reported me to the nursing board, however, the nursing board was just as confused as I was since I had a Dr's prescription and as if that wasn't bad enough they termed me from the hospitals they staffed. Please nurses do yourself and your family a favor and join other agencies. read more
