On my Southern Pines chai hunt, discovered this warm & inviting little shop! The staff took the time to tell me about their chai: it's a house blend they described as, "herbal," not a masala chai, or what they'd consider "spicy." Now I'm a "no such thing as too spicy chai" kinda guy, but I also enjoy a unique house blend so I was on board. The chai was, indeed, herbal. Sweet, with a little spice and flowery notes. It drank warm, smooth, & calming...like a gentle morning hug. Like most teas in the area, the sweetness could be dialed back a bit, but overall, a lovely shop and beautiful, tasty chai. read more

Colombians know good coffee and this spot didn't disappoint! I ordered a Vanilla Flat White and black drip coffee which they said they were out of at 10:20 am (sign says available until noon) and offered an americano instead but I waited for a fresh pot to be made. They use a local roaster so not sure if it's authentically Colombian but still pretty good. The baristas are super efficient in dispatching orders and there's a separate seating area for you to enjoy inside if you prefer. read more

Absolutely love this coffee shop. The prices are great and you can bring in your well behaved dog as well. They have great flavors and draw art on all lattes. The service is great and everything is made well. I wish they offered almond milk but they do have oat milk and coconut milk for non-dairy options. If you stop by grab one of the fresh made pastries, if you go in the morning you can get them fresh out of the oven. The shop is small but there is still a good amount of seating inside. read more

I stumbled upon this place while out on a work trip and in need of a good matcha. This is an adorable coffee shop with the most friendly staff in the quiet town of Southern Pines. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk - note that they don't have almond milk, but have oat, soy and coconut. The matcha power they used was unsweetened and tasted very high quality. It was just the drink I needed! I also grabbed a energy bar. The shop has a few packages bar type items and what looked to be freshly baked croissants as well. Coffee and matcha lattes were absolutely wonderful and maybe some of the best I've had. Staff was amazing and I'm grateful she asked about sweetness in the matcha as most places do not! This is an amazing and very welcome addition to the local coffee scene! I can only currently attest to their oat milk cappuccino and it is divine! No one..and I mean no one!.. locally does it any better! I am going to try their pour over a try next visit, I just couldn't resist their velvety textured oat milk for another cappuccino. I have no doubt the rest of the coffee drinks will be outstanding given they source their beans through Methodical, a legit roaster out of Greenville. If someone were to ask me my favorite place to get coffee, I would say "Amor Ciego Coffee in Southern Pines, NC." Corny? Yes. A lie? 100% no. This is truly the best cup of coffee I have had. Perhaps this means I haven't had many cups of coffee, but it's true. I don't know much about coffee, honestly, but I know that I don't like two things: acidity and bitterness. Yes, coffee is bitter, but it's not only bitterness. This cup had no acidity, the perfect amount of bitterness, and was smooth. Very much recommend. If you're near Southern Pines, go here. read more
