The food was delicious and the service was great . We had a young man take care of us and he was on top of it .

The name outside still says Amore but this is under new ownership and the food and hours are different. Don't go get the hours posted for this company. The new name is something like mama Mia despite all the outdoor signage staying the same-for now. Several of the people in my group did enjoy their meal, but they now use a creamy sauce instead of a traditional meat sauce which I didn't enjoy. The owner seems to think very highly of himself and their food- therefore I didn't say anything as the point would be moot. read more

My search for the best pizza brought me here after leaving the movie one rainy afternoon. I figure, what the heck... Had a slice of cheese and pepperoni... ehhhhh... greasy.... I hate having to add salt to my slice just to bring out the flavor. Service was bored and never came back to refill drink or ask how things are... We were on our annual stay at Hyatt Bonita Springs resort placed an order for 2 pies and 2 Greek salads with no onions as I hate onions. We were told 20-25 minutes. I showed up to pick up our order and had to wait 15 minutes and pizzas sat on the counter waiting on salads. Every dish was delicious from the antipasta platter to eggplant with penne, sausage and mushroom pizza, chicken dish, gnocchi pesto and the special of veal chop parmesan for 2. Momma Anna makes some wonderful Italian dishes and she will custom make anything. My favorite is the baked ziti with sweet Italian sausage..... yummy. Ordered a small meat lovers and half order garlic knots. 20$. Not unreasonable. Good but not fantastic. Outer edge of crust was nicely done, middle was soft and floppy - good flavor but it was a little soft for me. Garlic knots were ok but not great. I might go here again but would try somewhere else. Not particularly friendly but not flat out rude. You'd think you were in Jersey somewhere. What's the matter with Erica? This place is so F'd up I don't know where to start. But let's start with Erica, our "waitress". First, she had to be bludgeoned into actually cleaning our dirty table, with a lot of sighs and attitude. Then it was like pulling teeth to get her to obtain the actual price of a bottle of wine we were interested in. She then uncorked the bottle and brought over two wine glasses that were filthy. We then ordered the Authentic New York Pie and she corrected us, "One cheese pie." OK, I guess so. Finally, get this. Our pie comes out, is sliced, and put up on the counter for delivery to our table. I watch as some guy waiting for takeout grabs the pie and starts playing with it. Erica grabs it away from him and then brings it over to us. I begin to object and she goes ballistic. Tossed pie into trash on our way out of this god-forsaken place. BTW, pizza-maker does not wear head treatment even after being reprimanded by city inspector. What a delight!!! read more

Found this place while wandering around the Coconut Pointe Mall. Which was nice for me, cause I was craving pizza. This is a pretty decent pizza place. Nothing really outstanding about the location, It is a nice mall though. The place was busy at 2pm on a Sunday, so the locals like it. It is right next to the movie theater, so that helps business, I am sure. They didn't have a selection of slices, but it was the late afternoon so I forgive them. They did have pepperoni, which is probably what I would get anyway. They kept the slices under a heat lamp instead of throwing them back in the oven, which is what I am used to. It didn't really bother me as the pizza was still hot. The slices were nice and big, with plenty of toppings. The crust was chewy with just the right amount of crispiness. I approve. The sauce was ok, nothing special. The pepperoni wasn't very peppery, but I could taste it. Cheese was a bit greasy, but that added to the feel of ordering a slice. I will eat here again the next time I am in town. read more

Good pizza, and good weekday specials. Wednesdays, you can get a Large 3 topping pizza for around $11. Since the original time of this review, they have increased the Wednesday special to $13. Still good value for a large 3 topping pizza. They have real good NY Style pizza, and good entree selections too. We don't just eat pizza at Amore. We have had some of their appetizers which are pretty bang up. 1. The Fried Eggplant is a pretty sweet little app 2. Greek salad (yes, at an Italian Restaurant) is real good. We are suckers for Greek Food in general. 3. The Eggplant Parmesan dish is pretty good. I love Eggplant and am a particularly picky individual when it comes to my eggplant. They do to-go orders for specials, so on Wednesdays you can order multiple specials of the above. Very friendly and reminds me of the local pizza place around the corner in Queens NY. read more

I've been going to this restaurant since they have opened. The staff has always been attentive, even when the restaurant is busy. Today, I sat over 10 minutes without even a greeting from the staff. Two tables were greeted and sat down and orders taken before I finally got fed-up and just left. Obviously I was invisible. That's a pretty difficult feat for a 350lb man. Seriously not liking the fact that management and staff have changed hands. Will rethink going back here again. This is sad seeing I work in the same plaza. Get on your game Amore!!!! read more

We looked for a casual spot for dinner before heading down to the beach for sunset and Amore seemed to fit the profile. We were in at about 545pm and were the only customers, so service was fine. Nick did a great job for us. I ordered a sausage/green pepper/onion pizza and my wife had their salad. The pizza was a decent value since we were in there on a Wednesday (special pricing), but as New York style (we're from Chicago, so....) the pie itself wasn't much. My wife's salad was, in her word(s), OK, but nowhere near worth the $9 charge. Amore is a decent option when at the mall or following a movie. It's not cheap and the food isn't special, but it's a nice spot that's close to a happening area. read more

My husband and I have been here at least 4x in the past couple months. LOVED it! To be honest we went there when we first moved to the area (5 years ago) and weren't impressed. The lasagna was delicious. The rest of the family enjoyed Bianca pizza (white pizza). Our whole experience was wonderful and we made it out in plenty of time to see our movie next door. Italian Chef from New York here. I was wishing for ravioli and that is what I ordered. Let me start by saying it was only five raviolis that is not enough to feed a five year old boy. They were drowning in sauce. The sauce was disgusting and unedible. The chef should be embarassed for serving this atrocity of a meal. Wandered in due to a pizza craving, and glad we did. The menu is a bit too large for a smaller sized venue, but I suppose it's refreshing to have non-pizza options. Ordered a calzone which was made fresh. It had a great balance of ingredients plus the crust was done nicely. House wine was reasonably priced. Salad was fresh, but portion was a bit small.
