Veal saltimbocca

We had New Years Eve dinner here. Let's go. First the bread was so fresh and light with a garlic pesto butter. Yummy. Then we had a Caesar with anchovies. Delish. Then 3 meals. Mom had the lobster ravioli- out of the world. Friend had the veal saltimbocca and I had the grouper Frances special. Which they said was going to be put ON the menu. I highly agree. Absolutely phenomenal meal. And to top it off, they must clean their soda pipes because the Diet Coke was perfection. THEN, DESSERT!!!! Off the hook cannoli and friend had the limoncello cake with pistachio gelato. Outstanding meal to end 2025 on. 5 stars. Oh and did I mention the service Vinnie and Anna and chef Nicolo (sp?) were fantastic. And chef Anna even came out to check on us. Molte bene!

Interior was warm & clean.

Loved the food there. The meat ball in homemade Tomato sauce was the best I have ever tasted. So tender & delicious. I hade a salad also which was excellent. & the waiter almost took it away since he thought I wasn't ready for it. He offered to give me a freshly made one if I wasn't ready for it. Now that's service and someone who cares about the quality of food served. My husband had a hand made meat pizza that was also very good. The atmosphere was cozy just like an old time Italian restaraunt should be.

Great Salad!

Four of us stop by for early dinner. Staff greeted us warmly and we can pick any table or booth! We have not been here for a while; we noticed the wine cabinet is painted black. This matched very well with the red color wall and black floor tiles. On Saturday, Mamma Anna has a violinist to provide music while we dine! Amazing, this musician has such resemblance of our former young neighbor, I said, "Hello, Nicolas"! We have special request and enjoyed the music! A wild idea went through my mind, may be, I can rehearse, "O Sole Mio", and sing with him next time! LOL! We ordered our Chardonnay, Chianti and Peroni beer. Since they serve entrée with huge portion, we skipped the appetizer and just order House Salad. The Balsamic dressing is unique and one of Anna's personal creations. Good drinks and salad. A good way to start! Our Chicken Parm, Rigatoni alle Vodka, and Tutto Mare - Fra Viavolo are cooked to perfection. Great Tutte Mare with clams, calamari, mussels and shrimp on that al dente spaghetti. We shared a Tiramasu for dessert. With friendly staff and excellent food, we had another great dinner at Mamma Anna!

Bianca pizza and Lasagna

We are SO glad we checked out this place for dinner while traveling. The bread served with homemade pesto, Bianca pizza, and Lasagna were all phenomenal. You can taste the love in all of their food!

The food here is always delicious, and the service generally attentive and friendly. This evening the restaurant was not very busy, and pizzas not available (a real bummer because I have never had pizza here and really wanted to try one). The chicken was delicious, although a $4 up charge for meat sauce instead of Mariana for a small side pasta (about one cup) is too much in my option. But I enjoyed the food very much as I always do and highly recommend Mamma Anna

Chicken Parm and Chicken Capricossa

The food, chicken parmesan and chicken capricossa, is amazing , and service is great. They offer a delicious Italian Amarone that goes down so easily. You have to try this one, we're never disappointed!!

Veal Saltimbocca (delicious)

This Trattoria/Restaurant is a super easy 5 star rating. SUPER EASY! Went with my Dad, wife, my two kids (my wife's three - she includes me) sat outside on a Thursday night, and this place did not disappoint, it excelled! My reviews need some order, so here we go, let's try this: waitstaff, food, ambiance, price point, final point(s): Waitstaff: Fantastic. We were served by the owners son who literally told us what his Mom was cooking tonight, and he provided excellent recommendations. He clearly knew many guests as the tables around interacted with him, tried to get him to try wine they brought in, and created a generally fun/family style experience. When my server was busy, others picked up and covered for him. It allowed for a very pleasant guest experience Food: Outstanding. The bread was warm, and they provided a beautiful pesto (lots of garlic, warning to some, winning for others (I get it, that's personal taste)). We ordered a Buffalo Mozzarella D.O.P. which was a joy to share with three adults, 2 orders of Linguini Vongole, a Pizza, Spaghetti w/ Meatball, and my favorite, an order of their Veal Saltimbocca. Pictures provided, the food was excellent. Of note, the sauces they use are similar in appropriate entrees. As example, the white wine sauce in my Saltimbocca was similar to the Vongole with exception to the protein flavorings (I.e., the definitely used the clam juice in the Vongole, as expected). Ambiance: I enjoyed eating outside, albeit, I never walked inside, but it might need some work. I read reviews that they need to dim down the inside lights, and quiet violin night. The lighting inside appeared strong, and my Dad said he won't go on violin night because it is too loud. I don't have personal knowledge to either one; outside was nice. Price Point: Fair! $20 uncorking fee, menu is fairly priced for the quality you receive. I'd argue that they don't charge enough for the Buffalo Mozzarella D.O.P. Appetizer as there is no way the ingredients they are using are 1/3 of cost (restaurants typically seek 1/3 food cost, 1/3 operating cost, 1/3 profit) Final point(s): Visit. It's a fantastic, family run establishment, that will not disappoint. On another note, I'd also suggest ordering pizza "to-go." It would be different than eating in, but I bet it would be better than just about all of the other options in the area. I'm going to do it the next time I'm in the area. Final, Final points(s): I may have licked my Veal Saltimbocca bowl, and may have used my finger to get the last drops of the bread pesto bowl into my mouth. I don't mind writing that here, after all, it's not like just anyone can read it, it's super secret, right? LOL ;) Enjoy!

Gnocchi were soft and pillow-like, Amazing! Veal Saltimbocca, incredible. Pasta cooked right, pesca was perfect!

Prior to dining at any restaurant really, I am an avid review reader, I like to know other diner's thoughts and experiences. Upon entrance I was taken aback by the kindness and attentiveness of the hostess, unfortunately did not grab her name but she had the cutest highlights. Our server for the night was IRMA and wow was she absolutely fantastic. She had great recommendations from the drink menu to dinner and even dessert, she knew what she was talking about, we were all quite impressed. Even so far as our food runner KAI, was very hospitable and professional. Any ask that my mother in law had he or Irma were on it right away. Irma also explained the vibe of Angelina's and the different stories behind each of the areas of the restaurant which was such a treat. The hostess even allowed my partner and I to take a peak inside the stunning wine cellar as she noticed him and I admiring it from afar. I cannot wait to return! Wonderful staff, service and AMAZING food. Well done!

(kinda on the smaller side) i did end up getting a second one ($15 each). For apps we got the tuna cervichi and flatbread. (I do not eat raw tuna, so I have no option on that dish. But the rest of the table ate it up) The flat bread was great too. It had black olives, figs, tomatoes and lots of cheese. For dinner we each ordered something different. I got the crab cake stuffed Salmon with seasoned spinach and mashed topped with, what i think the waitress said was lobster sauce.. altho my friend that got the seafood risotto was supposed to have the same sauce on top but hers was a much more red color. The risotto was another great dish. It had scallops, big shrimps and muscles in it. Cooked perfectly. My friend had the Sicilian Penne. He said: It was a delicious pasta dish with sausage and cannellini beans. The Gorgonzola cheese was an amazing addition that really took the dish to the next level. Our server Sydney was great. She let us know they were short staffed some wait ataff and she may have been backed up (there was probably 6 tables in there at the time idk.. where I waitress i have a 12 table station, and its fast paced..) but she still a great job. The restaurant its self love nice after the renovations, but inqoukdnhave never known it was a finer dining place rather then a typical breakfast diner from the outside of it. Ill be back! There were other things on the menu I'd like to try. (Please, dont mind the photos, we were all just so excited to dig in i didn't remember to take pics till we were 1/4 of the way into eating)

Everything feels homemade, rich, and made with care the kind of old-school Italian cooking that's getting harder to find. The portions are huge and very family-style, perfect for sharing or leaving with leftovers you'll actually be excited about. The garlic knots alone are worth the visit soft, buttery, loaded with garlic, and easily some of the best around. Their price-fix menu for two at $39.99 is an incredible deal and makes it easy to enjoy a full, satisfying meal without overthinking anything. This includes appetizers, and dessert! And the chicken Parmesan... genuinely top tier. Crispy, flavorful, perfectly sauced, and portioned like it should be. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite because it's just that good. If you're looking for authentic, hearty Sicilian comfort food in Fort Myers, this is one of those spots that consistently delivers. It's my go to and I'll drive only to Ft myers for them. It's a true mom and pop experience, the owner is the chef; need I says more. He probably has some Nona's back there with him and the flavors are always consistent and so is the service, I can't emphasize enough about this place. My husband had the Porcini Ravioli with Skirt Steak, I opted for the special of Corvina, which was a amazing white fish similar to a Chilean Bass in a delicious Scampi sauce but not a typical scampi sauce but their house made white sauce, simply amazingly scrumptious!!! It came with grilled Asparagus and mashed potatoes. For dessert we shared a Chocolate Mousse with fresh whipped cream with a popover drizzled with chocolate and so light and fluffy. Our waiter Zach was so pleasant and extremely attentive to make sure we were satisfied but not too bothersome, he was very aware of the specials without looking at a list but from memory, which I appreciated, it showed me he really is excited about what is offered and proud of the specials and made them all sound so delicious !!!!!!!!
