They claimed to come to my house to diagnose a problem with my unit. I told them I wouldn't be home. They stated it was no problem. They sent a diagnoses of a missing secondary communication wire. American home shield stated they didn't cover missing parts. Amp was going to charge me $1100 to fix. I called in second opinion. The second opinion asked if my unit was running or if amp mechanical checked out my control panel when they diagnosed it. I told them I was not home and unit was off. They stated a train unit takes extra time to diagnose plus my unit should have been on and panel looked at. I asked the second opinion if anything was missing and they stated there was nothing missing or wrong with the wiring. Amp mechanical gave my warranty company a false diagnoses and was trying to get money out of me for their false claim. read more

Well, where do I begin! Such a sad & bad situation! I heard they permanently closed & if they didn't, they should! First of all they would never return your calls & it was useless to leave a message! My time with them started in November & ended on 12/30 when a final attempt lead to no avail! We then call AHS to complain & they sent someone new out to do a second opinion & our luck finally changed! He called & showed up right away! After an assessment he called to get the job approved, had all the parts on his truck & finished same day & in a timely manner! Problem Solved! What a relief! I wish I was writing this review under better circumstances. But, alas- here we are. I've also contacted the BBB since this is the 2nd time we've had issues with this company. My Home Warranty company has sent AMP out twice now, and twice they have lied about receiving payment and then said one thing to us then totally failed to follow through. Instead we got ghosted by AMP and had to call The Warranty Company, complain, be escalated and start completely over. The report they submitted was NOT accurate. This has been verified by a new contractor. They basically came and stole a service fee and did ZERO work. The check you cashed has been submitted back to the provider so they can take that part up with you directly. We wont be paying it again. Don't worry, another company is taking care of the issue. This company was provided to us via our warranty company and their idea of emergency service for a broken HVAC with temperature hovering around 95+ inside the home is 2 weeks. Also, the woman on the phone was absolutely terrible and arrogant. This company is awful! We had to use them because of the AHS warranty. We waited 2 weeks for an appointment having our house reach over 90 degrees somedays and staying in the 80's every other day. Finally the Tech comes out 3 hours after the latest time they said they would be there. The tech spends legit 10 mins at our house to say everything is working fine mind you while he is there our house is 82 degrees inside and when we asked why our house was 82 degrees he proceeds to tell us that he doesn't know why. I called the next day (Saturday) and left a message never got a call back so I called again on Wednesday got a lady named Jamie on the phone who tries to convince me that our house being 85-90 degrees when it is 100 degrees outside is normal and that a warranty wont cover "hot summers". I was thinking she has to be joking but no she was being serious as if I was stupid. This company is a joke and after reading these reviews I am not even going to have them come back I am going to have the AHS send me someone else that knows what they're doing and doesn't try to tell me my house being 82 degrees at 10pm is normal and 89-90 degrees during the day is also normal! My home warranty company sent this company out to repair my heat pump/AC unit. The service man said he found 2 holes that he repaired and refilled the Freon, 7 days later I'm having to call them back out and am having to wait a week for them to get back out... hopefully second time is a charm... If I could give negative stars I would do so! They lied to my home warranty company stating there was no duct work damage. Then when I called & finally got someone to answer after a couple weeks of leaving messages & no return call. I asked why they told the warranty company there was no damage. I was told well we don't have cameras to check! This has postponed my repairs by at least a month! The tech that was sent out to check my duct work had just rolled out of bed, his hair sticking up all over & didn't even check the air duct. He just said we will refer it to a different company that can do the repairs. Then here we sitting like crickets waiting for another company that wasn't going to call because of AMP's lies. Don't use this company. We were told we needed a specific part by one tech and that a certain universal part wouldn't work for our unit. They still ordered the part that THEY KNEW would not work for us. We waited a week for them to come. They gave us a time of 7-2 and showed up 3.5 hours later than we were told. We tried to get in touch by phone 3 times for them to just send a text they would be there soon. When the tech finally showed and put in the part for us he waited a few minutes to see if it was "working." Only 20 minutes later it stopped working after he had already left and it was almost 6 PM and business was obviously closed for the day. We called next morning first thing and they didn't send someone out for 6 hours after telling us that's "just how ac works". Once the tech came back we were told which part was put in (the one they knew would not work.) We called the manager and he told us it would be another 2-6 weeks for the CORRECT part they already knew we needed before. Once they knew how upset we were the tech got in his car and left without saying a word to us. Highly DO NOT recommend these people. There's a reason they have the rating they do. Strongly recommend using anyone BUT this company. read more

Called Home Shield for service on our AC unit. AMP was the selected service agent and while I am not going to write a book about what happened I will say that after another service call we were told about an Evaporator Coil failure and on top of that they wanted to charge another $1200 for "Upgrades". We asked for a 2nd opinion and another company found the Evaporator Coil back and no need for the $1200 in upgrades. I could go into a lot more detail but I will leave it at a solid do not use AMP for AC needs. read more

The technician came out and stated that because of the heat, the av was trying to catch up. We were told that the compressor was bad but the units were old. The next day I received a call to follow up regarding the service. I explained that the temperature was still 89 degrees and that something is wrong. I was placed on hold when I heard a voice asking if I was still there. It was Amy and she told me that our units were old and that our warranty would not fix the issue unless it was broken. I looked at my contract and contacted my warranty company who told me that they were told nothing was wrong with the units, they were just old and quoted us $4800 to replace. They never gave us a quote. I told Amy I would look into this and let them know. Per our contract, we have 7 days to get a second opinion and was able to do so. The other company came out and stated the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. I was also asked if we had power washed the units. We had not. I went back and pulled footage and the technician never placed gauged in the units and then used our power washer to clean the units causing more damage. Shame on you! Liars to sell a new unit! read more

these guys were contracted to fix our AC. The technician came out and said it needed a new computer board and that they would need to order it. Its been 2 months and we have had excuse after excuse. They even tried to tell us they didn't have our address when they miraculously found the house to find the problem... now we just got off the phone with the company and was told they did order the part but they cannot find it. And if the happen to come across it, then they will come fix it! I would think in two months time they would order a new one and get the job done. read more

I am posting a 3 star review ONLY for the technician Brandon who came out and worked on my gas furnace. He is from broken arrow, If you are forced to use these people like I was (I rent and the owner wanted to go through them) then I really recommend requesting Brandon from broken arrow. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars- I called the Wednesday before thanksgiving to make an appointment and the appointment was set for Friday the day after thanksgiving, I was told to expect someone from the hours of 7-2. I waited until 1:17 to call the office to which there was a message stating their office was closed thursday and Friday so I left a message stating it must have been a mis-schedule because no one showed up. I call again the following Monday and talk to the receptionist and told her what happened to which she told me that someone DID come out Friday morning, not only that but called and texted me beforehand and when I told her she must be mistake, my whole family was home and no one came and I received no calls or text she responds by being aggressive and asking me if "they would just make all of this up" and I said no I just think you had the wrong address or number. I asked if she sent the message on an iPhone and she said yes it showed delivered. I said well we need someone out because its not fixed and I don't have a choice but to go through them because I'm not the owner. The next appointment was set for Tuesday (29th) 7-2 pm. magically after that appointment was set I got the call (from Mike) and text message confirming my appointment for 7 am the following day. I absolutely dreaded the appointment reading the reviews and I fully expected Mike to show up since that is who called, but to my luck brandon came, he's younger less than 30 and had a very mild nature to him and seems honest. He diagnosed the problem immediately and then went to find the part at a store, about an hour later he was back and installed it within 20 minutes. It fired right up. I am by I means recommending this company, I am saying if you're stuck with them like me, request Brandon of broken arrow. read more

I had AMP mechanical come out to just do a system check on my AC at the beginning of summer. The units had been working great, we just thought a check up would be good and prudent. The person that came out suggested we needed 3 pounds of freon. Not only did he charge us a call out fee for both units of $75/unit, but he proceeded to charge us for each pound of freon (which is normal). The kicker is, our AC stopped working...we called a different company to come and look at it. He did a very thorough job of looking at the furnaces, looking at the cleanliness of the units, explaining everything to me etc..and he informed us that our units were egregiously overfilled with freon that they were running, but couldn't operate properly because the freon was so overfilled. They removed 6 SIX lbs of freon. He stated that when our "check up" happened, the units were probably overfilled already and that AMP just worsened the overfill to get a buck in their pocket by putting three more pounds in. I was charged nearly $300 and our units didn't actually need anything done to them by AMP when our check up happened. Now, I've paid another $250 to have them fix the overfill. Will always suggest to everyone I meet..DO NOT USE AMP. They like to lie to clients. Also, I tried to call and explain this to them and they essentially told me "too bad". read more

AHS assigned AMP Mechanical to fix my A/C when it went out. Sent a technician out right away who verified the part needed. Two weeks later in 106 degree heat index still was't fixed! This company is an absolute fraud. They were assigned because of my home warranty (First America) company. My upstairs AC has been out for 2 months and 9 days since filing the claim (5/4/20). They have had techs out 4 times because they failed to properly diagnose the problem(s). It is one delay after another. They have just come out again to replace the coil. However, AMP claims there was an additional $620 charge due to line modifications, which is complete BS. Their own tech confirmed it is BS and said "I can't believe they are charging you anything". The good thing is I have that recorded, a jury will love it. There was nothing extra required to complete the replacement of the coil, they just tack on money arbitrarily with no reason or logical explanation and the home warranty says they don't cover it. The problem is you have to pay by credit card over the phone or they won't even come out. I'm hoping we can resolve the issue before filing a lawsuit. If you are reading this because your home warranty company has hired them, you better watch out. You will get screwed, if you can get them to answer the phone or show up. read more

Home warranty company (AHS) sent AMP out to repair our heat pump/AC unit. AMP refilled freon and added some sort of leak block. Two days later AC stopped again. They came back out and said there was a leak at the wall which spewed freon when he pressed on the pipe where it entered the brick. Said it would be easy to repair. Never heard back from them. Called AHS and they said AMP reported that all the lines need to be completely replaced for over $900+ not covered by warranty. I asked for a detailed estimate of the costs and AMP promised to email that to me. Never did. I reported that tech told me something completely different than the report stated, so AMP said they would have the tech call me. Never did. I requested a 2nd opinion and AHS sent out another company (ACS). The ACS tech pressurized lines to 200lb with nitrogen gas and found that the schrader valves at the service port were VERY loose. After he tightened them the leak was negligible. While the lines were pressurized with nitrogen he pressed and shook them where they entered the brick wall and no loss of pressure resulted. We ended up having the suction valve replaced by ACS under the home warranty at no additional cost. AMP either loosened the schrader valves or were too incompetent to know to check them, and then obviously 'misrepresented' the source of the leak. Because of this fiasco we went without ac for over 3 weeks in 90F plus heat. I made it clear to the warranty company that AMP is no longer allowed on my property. read more

This company is disgraceful. They came to my house under the direction of my home warranty company and decide my condenser coil was out. He told me he needed to contact my warranty company for the ok to repair. 3 days later I heard nothing so I called my warranty company and they stated the company canceled the order. This company didn't even have the decency to call me to let me know the couldn't repair it. So instead I waited 3 days thinking they were getting the OK but instead they canceled the service call. I would not trust a company who treats their customers with such dishonesty. He even knew a baby lived at this home and may need heat or AC. If you didn't want to fix it at least you could have let me know so I could move forward with another company. read more

This company was contracted with my home warranty company. They came out the first time. I called on Thursday and the tech came out on Monday. The office phoned me on Friday at 7:00 am to scheduled this appointment. The tech said that he replaced 3 items and it was good now. it has not even been 3 full days and my central A/C stopped working again! (Thursday that same week)... I called the home warranty company again, and they stated that AMP would call to schedule. I received a text from the home warranty company the next day that it will, again, be Monday before someone comes. It broke on Thursday. I did not even get the common professional courtesy of a call from AMP Mechanical. I have phoned them and left 2 messages on their answering machine-during business hours- and they cannot find a moment to call me back? They did not even bother to call to schedule a service call. I am seriously considering just hiring a reputable HVAC company to come out and paying out of pocket. It is shameful that a business treats their customers this way.
