Our air conditioning went out on Saturday 7-20. By the time I was sure it wasn't simply frozen up…read morefrom constant running, it was evening. The next morning I called a few HVAC companies including Groggs and DNR. Both actually talked me out of having a serviceman come out that day, even though I was more than willing to pay for the additional weekend service charge. So after a horribly hot Sunday and Sunday night, Monday morning I calked both Groggs and DNR and was told they could not get to me that day. That really pissed me off because I could have had it fixed on Sunday but both companies all but said they didn't want to call out their weekend call technician. Let me say this, Groggs did send a technician out about 30 minutes after I called another company and they arrived. Maybe Groggs should have had the common sense to call and say someone was freed up early huh? I called Mountaineer Mechanical who had a technician out by approximately 1pm. They service technician, Jeremy checked out my HVAC unit and eventually determined the motor was hanging up, causing overheating. My motor and capacitor were both bad. What I liked was he just did not expect me to take his word for it, he showed me with his testing equipment that the capacitor was bad, and even though it was obvious the fan was hanging up, he made sure I saw it. He quickly changed out the Capacitor then quickly drive to his office and got a motor and was done by a little after 3PM. I was impressed with Jeremys knowledge, his speed and his willingness to help me understand all of the issues. I was so impressed I asked Jeremy to have their Salesman call me, I'm going to go ahead and use Mountaineer Mechanical and replace both my furnace and air conditioner now. So Groggs and DNR not only list an expensive service calk, they list the opportunity to replace an entire system for 10 to 12 thousand. No loss to me, but sucks for both of them. My advice to anyone needing service is to call the people that act like they at least give a damn about your business. I would recommend Mountaineer Mechanical to anyone.

The work he does (tracking down a failed circuit, replacing an electrical panel, running new circuits for installation of outlets and switches) is always the best. He started out great, except for his price. I paid it even though it was about 20 to 25% higher…read morethan most. This was a whole house rewire on a 900 sq ft. The walls were stipped to the studs, and there is a full unfinished basement, so it was easy access. Still, i paid him over $9200.00. He did very good mostly, until I asked him to correct the placement of a dishwasher outlet. For a fee he would. I already paid someone else to move the outlets for the range and the microwave, but thought he should do this one with no added cost. Placement of appliance outlets is something any electrician should know...I looked it up and they are all the same. Also, this guy also asks you to give him a tip a on every invoice. I find this very insulting to low income waiters, hairdressers, and others who are traditionally tipped. I also dad to clean up after him. Now I'm wondering if he did everything else okay or if my house is going to burn down. Just read the response. I paid the tile guy about $8000 for a tub sized shower. There are places where the grout is missing, lots of tiles are NOT flush, a hole was put in the aluminum trim, the front of the shower is about an inch out of square, the light fixture in the shower was not fully installed, and there are some chipped tiles. No..not happy, but I paid him. I belive a customer has the right to expect a good job, and the tile was not. Rhododendren Electric did a good job, but their follow through is bad. And he will do everything possible to avert a negative review, which mine is not...just middle of the road. Just downgraded due to his false and slanderous response. Really, he's an okay electrician, but he seems much more concerned about his yelp review than he does about satisfying his customers. And, his response was reprehensible.

After calling an emergency plumber, they found that the issue was tree roots busting through our pipes and that their 100 ft snake could not clear them. We were told it would be pretty expensive to fix and they talked about a "sectional" and anywhere from $750 to $900 for that. My husband called Rivertown the next morning, desperate. They came out quickly and were able to clear the "2 small root balls" going about 85 feet in with their snake. It didn't take long at all, and they saved us money not needing to use more than the snake. The men very very nice and great at their jobs. Thank you guys! I hope we don't need a plumber again anytime soon, but we wouldn't hesitate to call you again with future plumbing issues.

We rent, so technically it's our landlord's contract--but we recommend them to everyone anytime HVAC comes up. Our building is an older early-1900s property split into residential and office units, each with separate systems, so there's always something that needs routine maintenance or attention. Over the years, they've handled everything from regular servicing to installing a new heating and AC system and redoing a condensation line--and every time it's been smooth and stress-free. I don't know how they do it but they always manage to get our climate controlled even in the meantime if they need to order parts and come back. After the pandemic, when parts and shipping were taking longer than usual, we were quoted 2 weeks for the replacement part. After mentioning to them that I would be staying at my parents until it could be fixed since I have heart issues that cause extreme heat sensitivity, RW Miller went above and beyond and was somehow able to get the part and have the issue fixed in 3 days. They're always prompt, efficient, and easy to work with. And honestly, that matters even more when life is chaotic. I always seem to have some kind of project going on--most recently, I had our entire second bedroom (which doubles as a giant walk-in closet) completely emptied out with clothes everywhere when, of course, the AC went out . I would've dreaded letting just anyone into that situation, but their team is always kind, understanding, and totally nonjudgmental. We especially LOVE Rusty. He's incredibly knowledgeable, no-nonsense, a great communicator, and as a bonus--amazing with our dog. At this point we joke that we sent Christmas Cards, we'd definitely have him on our list! I've never lived somewhere that required this much HVAC upkeep, and honestly, we wouldn't have stayed here if our landlord hadn't switched to RW Miller. They've made what could be a constant headache completely manageable.

They came out so there was a leak they couldn't find it they charged it up and said let it run will see how much leaks out. It was raining heavy that day so they couldn't work on it. Next morning I noticed that the air conditioning was cycling on and off. Hear all the refrigerant at leaked out and it burnt the compressor up. I contacted Miller's heating air conditioning Beverly Ohio. And they said the coil and the compressor or under warranty but they want an eight to $900 labor to install it. I find this labor price to be excessive especially in the light of they're the ones who caused the damage to the compressor from the leak when they told me to let it run. A local Construction Company that helped build this house , and has done some other work for me. They recommended them. I will be talking with them and seeing if they can switch their recommendations from Miller air conditioning in the future.
