Our washing machine broke down, so we called AM PM to see if they could diagnose and fix the washing machine. We called them up and within an hour, they were at our house. They were so prompt and punctual. Sergei was the name of our technician. He checked on the washer and was able to tell us exactly what was wrong with the machine. It was most likely the motor being overworked and dampers had to be installed. Sergei was courteous and patient while explaining the problem. We initially had a small problem with our refrigerator door not dispensing ice or water. Our home warranty sent over a service tech who "fixed" the problem but installed faulty parts which caused us to lose power to our refrigerator. We noticed our food was thawing in the freezer but when we called for the home warranty contractor to come back and fix it, they said they couldn't get to us for a few days! I called AMPM and they had a tech head right over within 90 minutes...on a Saturday! Fantastic! Boris came in and inspected every part of our refrigerator, diagnosing the problem almost immediately. Unfortunately our part wasn't available until the next business day but he even came back on a Sunday to make sure there were no other underlying issues with our refrigerator. As soon as the part was ready on a Monday morning, Boris was back to install and save the day, while offering insightful service every step of the way. This company did a lot right! First they were very fast responding to my request for a quote on yelp! They came during the time window we discussed. Sergei the tech diagnosed my fridge problem quickly. Unfortunately the mother board was bad, and also the compressor. Which basically would mean I have to shell out $1300 to get it running. Sergei's advice was to just buy a new one which I appreciated because he was being honest and upfront. He also waived my $65 service call as a courtesy which was so nice! He also gave me some helpful suggestions on what brands and models are the most reliable. As a homeowner living in Valencia / Santa Clarita it's critical to have a good appliance repair person on speed dial to address a broad range of appliance related issues. Our trash compactor stopped working on a Sunday. I reached out to several companies. None serviced trash compactors except for AMPM. Not only did they respond by phone immediately on a Sunday, they worked with me to find a convenient time on Monday for the service. Pedro arrived to perform the repair. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. We were surprised he knew so much about trash compactors (as they are not as common these days and not something alot of appliance repair companies service). Not only did Pedro fix the appliance but he gave us instructions on how to run it more efficiently using its settings he also showed how to do the repair ourselves if it suffers the same malfunction in the future (which most appliance professionals would never do). We texted back and fourth and set an appointment for noon the following day. The next morning I actually received a phone call from The tech, Boris, who said he could be here earlier which was awesome. He showed up as promised, I showed him the machine and explained my problem with it. He went to work looking for the issue which he found pretty quickly. He actually explained to me that the machine was badly broken and it would cost more to repair my current machine than it would cost to buy a new machine.
