I was able to get an appointment just a couple days away for a dryer duct cleaning. Victor did a great job - the clog in the vent was complicated by years of lint not being cleaned out as well as a structural anomaly in the ductwork. Not only did he work at it from the laundry room but also from the attic and from the roof to make sure that it was completely cleaned out. The second technician who came out to bring Victor a ladder to reach the very high roof and to generally assist was also extremely helpful. Greatly appreciated the extra effort to get this problem solved - highly recommend World Appliance and I will be using them again for regular maintenance on this dryer duct. read more

John called and we discussed repair resolution...excellent customer service. I have additional comment for John. subsequently no matter what my dishwasher still was not functioning with recommended cleaner and three visits. I decided to replace and purchased from Costco which Subsequently did not function either for some reason and was replaced. Prior I had my handyman look at the system and determined that the air gap was old, needed cleaning and replacement, which I believe World should have checked and could have added to lack of cleaning problem. As well Garbage disposal was replaced. Total of 8 service calls was tiresome, omg!! Around the same time washer was not draining and called World, diagnosed sock stuck in motor area but left functioning properly now., Was not! it was making a horrible grinding sound, repairman came back again, bearings damaged, stackable unit needs replacement...omg, thank you very much! What else can go wrong! The dishwasher drama! World has issued me a credit, which I hope to not use for long time. read more

I showed him the area where the water heater was and let him do his thing .Frank after approximately 20 min came and called me to explain the issue and what caused it ,he also took the time to show me how to prevent it ,after he told me the coast to fix it I have him the OK. Unfortunately we can't respond directly to the company's response only via an update. I am now dropping my rating to 1 star because they chose to respond to my initial review with lies and excuses. Yes this review is 5 months old (not a year) but it is shameful that all they are doing is trying to deflect. No, the scratch on the floor was not old. Your techs caused it and refused to accept blame when I called back despite saying they would initially return to fix it. And if your techs actually knew what they were doing they could have solved the issue with my refrigerator instead of making it worse and then telling me it was the motherboard. Another company had no issue fixing my refrigerator which is running (even though it is old) perfectly. As for the number of calls you made...1. Just 1 by John (as I stated) and a return of the payment for the part. Bottom line shoddy work backed up with lies and excuses. read more

Had the gas company out to check my heaters and stopped working. They said the igniter was bad so I pulled it out. Brought it over to world appliances and they tested it and said it was good. So I called an AC company. They came out and said the igniter is bad. They replaced it and it works great. So now world appliance just cost me an extra 150 bucks instead of me being able to just replace it myself. Never use them for anything again read more
