Prescribed a controlled substance for the pain, (god forbid), and on arriving home my chosen cvs was nearly closed.. they suggested I call here to make sure it's ok to request a transfer, noting that it said "action required" on my cvs account.. (the original location agreed to fill anyhow in the morning, I guess they have an inkling of humanity?) but, I did try to call here first to see about getting it filled sooner, tonight. Well, apparently there wasn't enough info for the woman pharmacist here. Fine. So, I said I would bring my ER paperwork with me, in person. She rejected the idea very quickly and rudely. The contempt in her voice was unmistakable. ((I guess I have to go out of my way to prove to the woman that I indeed am having a miscarriage, even though the prescription was clearly ordered by the ER!!!)) ..and I have all the paperwork to prove it. I even have an online patient portal! but this woman must think I'm a freaking hacker who hacked the whole damn hospital system, because I guess the one in a million chance is worth playing it safe at my expense. She sure doesn't have to feel any pain so why would she loose sleep. LOL. so messed up She didn't even offer to call on my behalf! No courtesy at all. She just completely shut me down and made me feel like crap for even asking. As if my situation was not horrible enough. I want to add that I don't get prescribed controlled substances, like EVER, and the ONE TIME I do, in a terrible state, I get treated like this.. it is SO disappointing, in fact, that I am thinking about calling corporate and being that person.. This was honestly one of the most chaotic pharmacy experiences I've ever had…read more I received a text saying my prescription was ready for pickup, so I stopped in. The pharmacy line was about 10 people deep, which already took a while. After finally reaching the counter, I was told my prescription was already bagged but I needed to sit down and wait another 20 minutes because the pharmacist still had to "remove the cap" before it could be sold. I have never heard of standing in line, reaching the counter, and then being sent away to wait again for something that was supposedly ready and already sitting in the bag. Meanwhile the line barely moved because several people were having full medical consultations and insurance debates at the register while everyone else waited. What should have been a quick pickup turned into a long, frustrating ordeal. If the prescription isn't actually ready, don't send a "ready for pickup" text. It wastes everyone's time. I tried this location because I happened to be nearby, but after this experience I'll gladly go back to my usual pharmacy. Even a slightly rude pharmacy is preferable to this level of disorganization.
