Gas station stops usually call for filling up your gas tank. Now, that's not to say you can't grab a bite/snack while there. I've recently become a fan of their cheeseburgers. Quite frankly i look forward to AmPm stops for the mere fact that if hungry; I can indulge in this yummy burger. This place is out in the middle of nowhere. Not much around either. However, easily accessible from the freeway and very convenient to get in and out. Went tonight for gas, attempted to use debit card. No luck, it was broken. This was the second time in 2 weeks. So I went to another stall, pump wouldn't accept my debit card again. So I was about to leave and tried a 3rd pump, Yep, pump did not accept my debit card. It was broken. I pushed to call attendant, yep, that was broke too. I had to get gas so I went in. But you have to pre pay the gas which I don't like to guess, I just want to fill up. I know I know, first world problems, but the management should know how to run an efficient business. I even asked the cashier, has anyone else complained and his answer was yep with an I don't care attitude. This gas station is starting to become a run down station and it's fairly new. Argh, what a frustrating experience using this gas station! Pump menus are horrendously slow. I incorrectly put in my credit card instead of debit card and had to wait multiple minutes for the pump to cancel the transaction, clear up, and allow me to put in my debit card. So you just sit there waiting for the annoying thing. Also, for every action, you have to press a button that takes 5 seconds until a screen updates. What is this, 1980s? They also don't accept credit cards and charge .35 cents for debit card transactions. I don't think I've been to a gas stations that charges a fee like this. This place is a shit hole. Today four pumps didn't work. I had an Arco gas gift card and the ATM didn't work. Neither did the cash machines. It's also the filthiest I've ever been in, sand is never cleaned out and trash cans are always full. This Arco is hit and miss. Sometimes, a flawless experience. Other times, a tortured, miserable experience. When it's good, it's great. No explanation needed there, but I will anyway: you pay at the pump, you pump your gas, you get on with your life. But when it's bad, it's awful. First you waste 5 minutes trying every machine for the "pay at the pump" feature and it spits your card back out saying it wasn't authorized (as if your card is bad!). After trying and failing at this 3 times, you go inside, wait another 5 minutes and then they say, "Yeah, the pay at the pump feature is broken." And I WANT to say, "And you didn't think of writing a note?" But I keep my big mouth shut because the folks behind the counter look a little surly anyhow. Nuff said. I purchased a car wash at the pump but the carwash would not turn on automatically. The first time it happened I went inside and the attendant turned it on manually. You are given a code to type in. Today I went back again, and it would not even work at all even though I paid and typed in the code. The attendant refused to give back my money, so I drove through again and it still did not work. I thought it was slicing and dicing my tires at the same time I drove through their non-working carwash machine. So they are taking the money and not refunding it when the wash does not work. They are playing with it, and may or may not turn it on for you. Someone needs to go in there and shut their shit down. read more

This gas station gets the job done in terms of gas in the tank. However, if you go inside, don't expect the employees to speak much English. As you walk to the front doors, there is a strong odor of human waste due to the homeless people who live, urinate and defecate behind the building, but fortunately they are not too aggressive in their begging. I only go there for a hot dog. They are only about 20¢ more than Costco, and much more convenient and every bit as tasty. As for the gas, I never go to an AM/PM. My tank, when empty, holds 10 gallons. If empty, I'd be paying 4.5¢ more per gallon, using my debit card. It's never empty, so I'd be paying even more per gallon. read more

I will NEVER go back to that place. The pumps rarely work. Just now I pulled up and the screen was frozen so I went inside and paid. Came back to the car and the screen was still frozen. Went back inside and they sent out an employee to help me. He took the nozzle, while still in its holder, and violently rammed it up and down in its holder then asked me what grade gas I wanted. Premium I said, and he hit the button and handed the nozzle to me. I put it in and started filling my tank. A few minutes later gas was shooting out all over me and my car.
