Don't get gas here! Earlier today, an outside pay machine stole my $20 and Sun, the "manager" on duty proceeded to be a dismissive jack ass. Do you really want to be putting DEBIT cards or cash into malfunctioning machines that managers are unwilling to check up on? After putting money into the machine located behind pump #14, the display told me to go inside to see the attendant. Canceling the transaction did not retrieve my money, and the pump never cleared to allow me to get gas, so inside I went. To the attendant's credit (his name was RAYMOND) he did everything he could do, including encouraging the manager to meet me outside at the machine or at least just check the damn cameras to see what had happened! Instead, Sun just mumbled and eye rolled his way through the entire situation then hid in the office to continue not being a manager. Thanks Sun! Avoid this station, but if you must go DO NOT use the pay stations outside! read more

For the better part of this year Arco has been running a promotion, buy 4 drinks of any size and the 5th of any size is free. The punch card clearly states that the promotion ends on 12-31-2013. I have saved my cards and went to start redeeming them for my free drinks. This location will not honor the promotion any longer. They are surly about it and their gas prices are much higher than their competition at 33rd and San Pablo, eight blocks away. I won't be back. read more

gas tank holds 12 gallons. I scratched my head when my fill up cost $20 more than usual. Turns out they charged me for 15.6. I took a photo and supported my claim w/ the vehicle info. I was almost ripped off yesterday at the AM/PM, by the cashier! This is not a great neighborhood to start with, so I was hesitant to stop. I went in to pay for $20 in gas and purchase 2 sodas. I was told it was $22 plus change. When I tried to pay he said the only took cash or debit card. i went to the atm to get cash and when I returned i decided to buy 2 lottery tickets, so my bill should have been $24 plus change. The cashier told me it was $25.95. I paid, and then I asked for the reciept. The guy got visibly nervous and fumbled around to try and get me a receipt and then said he told me the wrong amount. he gave me my money back that he overcharged, but only after i asked to see a receipt. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED HERE. Last month I went through the car wash which I did every two weeks or so. This particular day I went through, the front of the washers bashed into my front bumper so hard it made a loud crash three times over, and jerked my car back each time. It caused $788.00 of damage to my bumper. The owner denies responsibility, even though there is video footage of the incident. The claims agency that handles their insurance is incompetent. I spent an entire day waiting for their claims adjuster who was hours late, and unreachable. Spent many lunch breaks emailing the insurance company who would never answer my questions or offer a solution, but rather say the exact same non relative information over and over. I had never written a bad yelp review until now. I need a lawyer to go after this thieving company. read more

Presumably it will be another Arco, as the sign was the one thing on the left left standing. This place is around the corner from my house. I can't count all the ways it sucks. Horrible customer service. People always asking for change and harassing while trying to fill up. The cashiers always take care of me. I haven't tried the car wash as of yet but they helped me out a bind last time when no one in a 3 mile radius had ice!??? and they were nice and friendly. Sometimes it's a bit of a wait to buy items but I experience that anywhere lol especially during peak times like before the commute and sometimes in the middle of the day but it's summer so I usually Expect to be in there for a few minutes. They have snacks, ice, dry ice and I believe hey have some hot food too. Their Dry Ice prices are better then at Thrify's or Save Mart. You could pick up Dry Ice at a chemical or industrial supply for a cheaper price, but good luck getting to the industrial supply house by closing time. read more

Just left this establishment. Paid for my gas inside the store with my debit card. I go back to pump and the pump is not allowing me to pump. I go back inside and the very nice gentleman name Chuck was super helpful but he needed the so called as non customer service manager name John to assist with the issue. This man John is rude, loud talking, hostile and not fitting nor appropriate to work with the public. I told him what was going on. He was like well run your card again. I said why I just did. He say well there's nothing I can do. So I'm out $30 buck. Again he getting loud and just rude. Chuck even offered to give me cash out his pocket. I said thanks but I have cash the point is I spent money in here and can get what I paid for. They need to FIRED JOHN QUICK. I was excited when this gas station opened an affordable drive thru car wash however upon first experience all excitement has gone away. I waited for 15 minutes to go through this car all to end up not even getting it because the machine malfunctioned. First the lights flickered for the car in the wash to move towards the dryers even though the entire back of his car has soap all over it, at this point I thought great is that going to happen to me too. I pull in as the light indicate to and then the machine just sprays my car with a bunch of water and then turns off. Me and the guy in front of me both go in to let the attendant know something is wrong with the machine and it didn't work, he then proceeds to yell at both of us that we did something wrong because we were looking at the light and not listening to the sound whatever the hell that means. He refused to reissue a code and refund our money, he graciously (sarcasm) offered us the option of buying another car wash..... excuse me Im not paying you another 8$ to get screwed over a 2nd time. I will never return to this station which is unfortunate because it is primarily where I get gas. I usually go to the gas station to get my gas wash my car and get my coffee before work. Today after work I need to get gas and the line was really long as I walked in. I had to use the restroom so I asked one of the gentleman for the key he pointed to the front register and told me the key was behind the register. There was a lady ( didn't catch her name had a short afro) working behind the register I asked her for the keys she looked at me and with the most ghetto tone said" is you gonna buy something" i explained to the lady that I was going to purchase something but the line was really long and at this time I really just wanted to use the restroom prior to my purchase. she walked away from the counter and she went into the bathroom herself I asked to speak to the manager and the manager on duty is name was Wayne he looked at me zero empathy and told me she was just doing her job. I explain to Wayne that that wasn't the reason why I was angry I understand she was doing her job it was the way that he said it. it's not about what you say it's about how you say it I've known this since I was a child. I live right around the corner from this place and sometimes have no choice but to go here. First of all I have never in my life heard of or seen a gas station that doesn't take credit cards! Then there is the fact that these idiots actually will close the entire place down for 15 min to an hour for a "shift change" Never heard of that one either! I work in retail and we stagger our employee's shifts so there is no "shift change" lag, the whole thing happens smoothly with no interruption of service. I guess the managers at this Am/PM haven't figured that one out yet. If you want to go there to buy something after about 9pm expect MASSIVE delays! I was there one night with my son to get some things at 10pm and the guy at the window, Wane, refused to do anything but ring-up gas purchases because the girl that was supposed to relieve him had not showed up yet, went back an hour later, he was still doing the same thing. I'm sorry but people go there to spend money, that money pays their pay checks, refusing to take money for things just cuts into your next pay raise, and could cost you your job at other employers. At around 10pm, give or take an hour or so, they close down the entire inside of the store and one person works a walk up window. If you want something they need to go get it from inside the store. The area is getting to be a lot cleaner and nicer, but this place just ha not adjusted. There are a lot of ignorant people working here too. One day I wanted to try using the cash advancement feature on my credit card, and the girl behind the counter kept insisting that if my credit card has a pin then it has to be a debit card. I guess she has terrible credit and has never had a newer credit card. Bottom line: If you have an option go somewhere else, and just stay away after 9pm. It is not worth it. read more
