Upon noticing their tardiness, I retrieved their phone number from my confirmation email. However, I discovered that ten minutes prior to my appointment, they informed me that they were unable to inspect another electrician's work because they mistakenly believed the permit was still active, which it is not. Despite having my phone number, they chose not to contact me due to their unprofessionalism. I have had similar onsite quotes from reputable licensed electrical companies, and this was not an issue. We will proceed with another company, as their communication (lack thereof) suggests that they do not need to earn my business. Be cautious of glowing reviews on Nextdoor and Google! read more

I have previously used Ampt on many occasions and have been pleased with the service and the price. However, on my most recent repair I was charged for 2 people to change 2 outlets and 2 switches for 1 hour each. I went ahead and scheduled another service and then canceled a service call since it was going to be two people for $175 per hour when it was a job that should not require two people. I was charged $55 for the canceled service call. This used to be a good company but I will not be using them again. read more

Brian was very professional and fixed my problem. But it seemed a little expensive to me. I had a hall light to troubleshoot that ended up being just a bad bulb, and one fixture in basement replaced (the kind with a pull cord). He did have to make a trip to Home Depot for the fixture. But the total was $165 ($30 for fixture) and that just seemed a lot to me. But maybe I didn't realize that electricians are so expensive. I did appreciate that he solved the problems. read more

Matt from Ampt came right on time, diagnosed the issue in our basement and quickly said what was needed and offered to go to Home Depot, get the part and then come back to the house and do the job even though it was already after 5pm. I finally decided to have some new recessed lights installed and a few other minor electrical items repaired. I had been looking around for a company that sounded competent and gave Ampt a call. I had another electrician come and attempt o fix a three way switch that wasn't working properly. The three way proved and easy fix for Matt. The recessed lights went smoothly as the three guys work well as a team. The did a good job and cleaned up thoroughly when done, even having laid out plastic to catch and debris. Excellent job!
