Absolutely terrible! We spent thousands of dollars to have this company redo our electrical box and it doesn't work. There is zero power and our tenant is without any lights or power in the home. The smug bitch that answers the phone is rude and condescending as hell with zero customer service skills. They told me they can send someone out on WEDNESDAY. It's FRIDAY!! How is a tenant supposed to live in a home with ZERO power!!! And then this woman LIED and tried to accuse us of canceling a prior appt which was never true and completely irrelevant to the fact that the work they've done is insufficient. I'm absolutely disgusted with this trash ass company and will be contacting my bank to reverse the charges for incomplete and faulty work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They don't stand by their work. They sent out Josh and he did a fantastic job; he was polite, non-intrusive and everything was fixed in a couple of hour. While the work wasn't exactly cheap, is your electrical work something you really want to skimp on? Would you hire a discount cardiologist? Got charged $375 for 10 minutes of work - replacing door chime. Just keep in mind that they charge per task, not per hour - so even the simplest problem becomes troubleshooting/diagnostic. I did not need troubleshooting, as I told them exactly what the problem was. Just be super careful with any business with 5 star reviews - in this day and age, they are probably fake. read more

Bray Electrical - $375 to replace a doorbell chime - Electricians Near Me - Decatur, Georgia

Called Bray to look at a bad breaker that was spooking me during last night's rainstorm. I was able to get an appointment the today, and Josh showed up right on time. After inspecting the breaker (which was suddenly working, I guess because it's sunny?) and outlets, he said that he couldn't find anything wrong, which happens. But I should keep an eye on the problem. He explained what to look for and suggested replacing the breaker ASAP--myself, if I felt comfortable doing so, or he could do it for a fee; he'll send the estimate later. Josh didn't try to scare me into thinking the house would burn down if I didn't spend hundreds of dollars today, or any other hard sell. Quite the opposite--he assured me that this particular issue means the breaker was doing its job, so it wasn't immediate danger. The biggest shock was that he didn't charge a fee for the visit! I scheduled an appointment to check out power drops/surges in my mother's home. When the problem quickly escalated, Bray dispatched a technician immediately (a week before the appointment). The tech was friendly, wore a mask, and quickly diagnosed a problem with the outside line. I called Georgia Power with the instructions he provided, and they had a truck out within an hour. I have a handyman who can do most things but electrical is the one thing he can't. I asked for recommendations within my building but my job was too small for the recommended contractor but I saw someone else make a similar request on NextDoor and the only recommendation was Bray so I checked them out. I sent an email and received a response immediately and they were about to set up an appointment for later in the week when they had a cancelation and I actually got someone out the same day without it being an urgent matter! Manny was here when he said he would and was very patient as I had a lot of questions about things I wondered if I could do (I'm in a loft and I can but it will cost a fortune). As he looked at each thing he told me if it was cost effective and most wasn't but I really appreciated it. I would highly recommend I will be using them again when its in my budget to update lighting. read more
