Christian is fantastic. Hes prompt and respectful of our time (my biggest gripe is time wasters). Hes honest and fair. He will tell you what he can/cant do, ahead of time or as he runs into the issues, but he tells you, communicates. And I appreciate it. J O B S Outlet: My hubby bought a beautiful lamp to place in our home but of course, the place where I wanted to place it, there were no outlets nearby. I couldnt tell that it was a new addition! Ceiling fans: Our 3 car garage gets really hot and humid, courtesy of atl weather moods. We work in the garage a lot so we really would like to breathe and not be swimming in sweat while in there. He made a large cut into the ceiling to do the wiring but put it together before he left. We needed our main lighting in our living room replaced. We found Shockley recommended on Nextdoor so I called and they were able to come out in only a couple of days. Shockley's electricians arrived and worked very efficiently to take care of the problem and replace our lighting at a very reasonable price. My pool equipment suddenly stopped working last weekend and I found that the GFCI breaker had tripped. I tried resetting it a few times but it kept on tripping. I began troubleshooting the issue and testing different segments of the circuit, finally fearing the worst, that the underground feeder line had been chewed up by a chipmunk and would have to be replaced. That was an expensive proposition. Thinking that the wiring was in underground conduit, I attempted to pull new wires through, but quickly discovered that it was direct buried in the ground without conduit... But not before I cut some of the UF to help pull it. I ended up damaging the cable at both ends and made it too short. I began looking for electricians who work on pool hookups and found Shockley. I left a message on Saturday July 3rd, and Christian called me back within 5 minutes. After listening to the explainable of the problem, he stated it was an extremely small chance that the UF cable was damaged. After coming out to look at the issue and provide a few estimate, Christian and his crew (3 additional guys) came out and got me back up and running by fixing the mess I made and were able to determine it was a faulty GFCI breaker causing the problem. They did a great job cleaning things up afterwards as well. Next time I'm calling Shockley Electric before I make a mess of things! read more

After seeing several recommendations on Nextdoor, I called Shockley Electric to rewire a rat's nest in the basement from a previous owner's attempt, along with upgrading my shed lighting and putting in a dimmer switch in my master bathroom. All of the previous reviews here on Yelp are accurate. I called and texted Christian for a job estimate involving 2 ceiling fans and 3 pendant light replacements. He gave me an estimate (which he stuck to). Because he is busy, we could not get on his schedule for two weeks. In the meantime I contacted another company that provided me a free estimate upon arrival to do the job, and they were much higher (and only sent one man for the job). Christian arrived with another electrician, and they did an excellent job of hanging the ceiling fans and lights. They were professional, prompt/on time and helpful.
