Although the dentist recommended having it treated, I was extremely anxious--mainly because of her young age, the fact that it was a baby tooth, and my concerns about the procedure and any medications involved. Still, I knew it needed to be addressed to prevent her from developing a painful toothache that could affect her daily life. At the appointment, we met the new provider, Kat (Katherine) Dority, and I cannot praise her enough. Even though I wasn't the patient, she showed incredible patience with me first--listening to my concerns, explaining why the treatment was recommended, and walking me through every step of the process. Her thorough explanations and calm reassurance significantly eased my anxiety. She was wonderfully gentle with my daughter, offering positive affirmations throughout the visit and explaining each step in a way a 4-year-old could easily understand. As someone who has never been a fan of dental visits--and clearly has a lot of anxiety around them--I was genuinely impressed. I would absolutely recommend this office, and especially Kat Dority. P.S. I forgot to mention, the filling procedure was quick and painless for my 4yo.

After 15 years, no warning, even after knowing the reason. Second, if you forget to confirm your appt. they will cancel it without letting you know. My daughter has shown up for two appointments only to be told they were canceled because she didn't confirm the already agreed upon appointment. Apparently, it's OK for them to break appointments as they please, but not OK for their customers. The double standard is astonishing. When they cancel without notice: no accountability. When you cancel unexpectedly due to illness: immediate penalty. This practice has become rigid, punitive, and completely lacking in basic customer care or common sense. We will be finding a new dentist, and I would encourage anyone considering this office to be aware of their policies and how they are enforced -- and continue looking. There are plenty of good dentists.

They reasoned having to do root canals and gave me a temporary plastic bridge. When I tried to get my permanent bridge the "office manager" informed me they charged off my account that I was paying on regularly. They never provided my permanent bridge. Instead they refunded a small portion of all the money they were paid and reversed the claims paid by my dental insurance. They're affiliated with another Dentistry in Saratoga and didn't honor their treatment plan and treated me like a diseased animal without any consideration for my dignity nor well being. They were able to perform X-rays, and then file down the chipped teeth so they weren't sharp without incident. Total emergency time chipped teeth to walking our dentist: 2 hours. Super friendly! I called to speak with someone (Karen) She informed me that it's only a 50-50 chance that the medication would work, that is not at all what I was told. I told her if I knew that I would have just taken him to a dentist that puts them under. I was also told that the doctor doing the procedure was supposed to talk to me about the medication and he never did that. He came in asked how we were. Made sure I signed everything and then walked out. I also had no clue he was gonna be strapped down. He kept saying he couldn't breathe. Later he told me the strap was tight. He has asthma something they knew and I would assume would have been brought up. I'm so mad I didn't walk out as soon as I saw them doing that. They don't care about ur child. Just that paycheck. Go somewhere else.

Appointments for cleanings book 6-12 months out. If you need a cavity filled it'll be another 8-12 months until they can fill it. When your appointment day arrives they'll call and cancel the appointment and ask for you to reschedule it....in another 6 months. I was told they were scheduling me for a cleaning and to fill a cavity and when I arrived they said "oh no, this is just for the cleaning. You'll have to book the filling separetly (after waiting 6+ months already). Thankfully, I'm not in any pain but I can't imagine what it's like for those who are. This business has turned into nothing but a money grab, unfortunately. I don't trust their "findings" and certainly can no longer trust their work. Everything is rushed. Half assed. I also brought my two kids there for a cleaning in which they had me wait over an hour. They rushed through the appointments, barely did a cleaning, and sent them on their way. They were in the chairs for maybe 6 minutes total. Unreal. And I can't wait to hear their response to this review (eyeroll).

It's busy, but well run and the staff seems to be professional and have a nice camaraderie. Insurance is complicated, so make sure you understand what your policy covers and ask questions of the insurance people, not receptionists who might not know all the particulars. That's my only complaint: I misunderstood my policy after a comment and could not submit a bill that I mistakenly thought I could.

That said, they were recommended by someone that has had a ton of dental issues over the years and that has been a patient for quite some time. My Journey with Dentures from Dahlia Dental, Amsterdam N.Y: A Cautionary Tale…read more Over five years ago, I began my journey with dentures. At the time, the dentist made a mold of my gums and had me return a few weeks later to pick up the finished set--both uppers and lowers. When I arrived, her assistant handed me the dentures to try on. Immediately, I noticed a problem: they didn't fit at all. They were so loose that they kept falling out. The dentist came in, observed the poor fit, and pulled out some denture adhesive--Polygrip or something similar. She demonstrated how to apply the adhesive and sent me on my way. At that moment, I trusted her expertise, not knowing any better. It wasn't until later that I learned dentures are supposed to fit properly without needing adhesive--at least not right away. Adhesive is typically only required years later as gums wear down or shrink. Shortly after, I went back to her and explained that I couldn't eat properly unless I loaded the dentures with adhesive. She attempted to fix the problem by shaving the dentures down while I was there. However, she told me she couldn't remove much more material, as it would make the dentures too fragile. That was the extent of her solution. Since that day, I've struggled immensely. I can't eat more than one meal a day without the adhesive failing, which causes the dentures to come loose and make my gums sore. After years of this, I've resorted to wearing them only for cosmetic purposes. Even then, I need to use a significant amount of adhesive just to keep them in place. Wearing them for more than half a day leads to soreness and discomfort. I deeply regret using her services and have carried this frustration for years. To this day, I feel upset whenever I think about the experience. It's particularly disheartening when I see others who have well-made dentures that fit comfortably. My mother-in-law, for instance, has a set that she simply puts in each morning--no adhesive needed. She can wear them all day without any issues eating or speaking. Seeing her experience made me realize how much I had been failed by my dentist. Now, I've retired and moved to Florida. I'm hoping my new insurance will cover the cost of a properly made pair of dentures. I refuse to go through the same ordeal again or let another dentist dismiss my concerns. I'm sharing this story to vent and to warn others about neglectful care of this dentist or any other. If you're starting your own journey with dentures, please advocate for yourself and don't settle for ill-fitting appliances. Someday, I hope my suffering will be alleviated, but until then, I remain frustrated by what I endured.
