I was really impressed with this company. Sam was the representative that came out to my home and explained everything to me thoroughly. He didnt pressure me into closing the deal that day and I really appreciated that. I told him we would think about it and contact him the next day. I spoke with his father the next morning and he really sealed the deal by being so friendly and personable. I had never met him but he made me feel as if I had known him for years. David Orr with Amstill Roofing handled everything regarding our new roof. His estimate was exactly as stated, he handled the City permit, the Windstorm inspection and certification, and was here throughout the day to answer any questions from the work crew. He told us the crew would be here at 8:00am. That morning, about 7:30 I looked out and there were already 6 or 8 roofers in the front of the house. By 8am there were 17 workers on our roof! They protected our trees, flower beds and yard by covering everything, and they had one worker dedicated to clean up. They finished at around 5:30pm. Sam (owners son) came to the house with the drone to take pictures of our roof. Gave us a well written estimate and we went with them. They didn't know if for sure they could get on our roof (three story town home), but they were able to borrow a taller ladder from a sister company and got the job done. The crew came out one afternoon and finished everything in a few hours. We didn't need much work, just caulking resealed, etc. I was very impressed with the whole process and everyone we worked with. Sam will be the first to tell you they aren't the cheapest (or most expensive) in town, but we felt the most comfortable with them. We recognized that our three year old roof appeared to have significant issues. Brian scheduled quickly, was on time in his arrival and thorough with his communication. Our roof was replaced two years before we moved in. The upstairs had been uncomfortably hot in the summer before we had our new roof installed last week. There has been a dramatic difference; it is at a comfort level for the first time--with the hottest temperatures. We believe that this is due to the combination of the reflective shingles recommended to us and the Air Hawks that make air circulation possible in the attic for the first time. No other roofer suggested the Air Hawks, and the crew would need to be skilled in their installation for them not to leak. This is the second time I have used Amstill. Two years ago, they came and did the flat portion of my roof. Today they did the rest of the entire roof. These guys started after I left for work, which was at 6:30am. And they then called and told me they were done at 2pm. This is for a 3,000 sq foot house. They added ridge vents and also roofed my shed next to my house. These guys are super quick. Jose, the point man on both of my jobs, has been with the company for over 20 years. Not only they have been very kind but also super professional and eager to explain the products and services they would deliver. A salesman from Amstill gave me a free inspection the day after a storm and recommended that I file a claim for a new roof. Unfortunately, after several inspections including a report by a structural engineer, my roof did not meet the guidelines for full replacement and my insurance company sent me a letter of non-renewal. Sam agreed to do some critical repairs for me in order to get the roof in a condition good enough to get insurance from another company. Really like the large crew size that can complete the various tasks required and eliminate the concern of a sudden rain causing damage to the interior. Well organized and customer focused.
