Our initial experience wasn't great, getting the first visit scheduled took forever. That should have been my clue. Every appointment since has been very difficult to schedule. When my child is due to be seen, they have one appointment to offer. If that doesn't work, they will suggest something two weeks later. Well that adds two weeks to the treatment time - nobody wants that! Their appointments are only available between 8:20 and 3:20 (and I don't believe they are open on Fridays), so your child will always miss school for this (and you will miss work). Maybe this is a small sacrifice to make, but I wish I had known before we started here or I would likely have gone elsewhere.

I've been a patient here for about 3 months now and have nothing but good things to say. All of the staff are pleasant and seem to really care.

So creepy. 2. After my 1st appt the receptionist said they get paid extra for getting patients to write 5-star google reviews. Now I see they have to do this bc IMO no one would give them otherwise. 3. This theme of unprofessionalism got worse. I experienced: the dentist shoving his groin and male member into my arm, even though I asked him to stop; he HANDED ME A SUCTION WAND AND TOLD ME TO DO MY OWN SUCTION in the middle of my own procedure! My 1st visit, I was "helped" by a woman who had zero dental experience and told me all about her last job, in retail. She stood there doing nothing while I had to get my own x-ray apron, had bits of things flying out of my mouth and inhaled them bc she didn't do anything, and when I asked for a simple pillow due to an injury, she handed me some dirty, uncovered thing that wasn't a normal object. No empathy. 4. I needed a crown. There are competency & quality issues here. The 1st crown was so big I kept biting my tongue. The 2nd crown chipped before it even got to stay in my mouth. It had to be sent back a 3rd time. More than I've had with any other dentist. No apology for this inconvenience. 5. In the last 3 days, I have gone back to this office 4 times. The Twice the temporary crown fell off completely, the 3rd it broke in half while I basically doing nothing. The 1st visit was 90 minutes, the other 2 were at least 40. For a temp crown!? Dr. Omad micromanages his assistants; they seem annoyed at him then they don't do what he says. 6. After my 4th failed temp crown in 3 days, he tries to weasel out of it, didn't want to see me til after the weekend. What were you eating, was it hard? We had this conversation the 1st 3 times his temp crown failed; each time it was the temp crown not anything I was doing. He can question me but I can't question him. Any sane human in my position would've been frustrated at this point, so I said my build up needs to be protected, I don't want coffee and other things getting on it. He should want that too At this point, he says that if i'm questioning his competency, I can go elsewhere. Because he's allowed to ask me dumb questions and I can't say, why does this keep happening? 7. I asked him why the double standard. He always blames things that don't exist like some imaginary "tone" that he thinks I have, apparently normal human frustration for coming to see him 4 times this week due to his bad work isn't something he can handle, but it's ok to waste my time. He interrupts me constantly while I'm talking, trying to stop me from talking. He gets facts wrong. I tell him I'm going to change the google review his assistant asked me for. He passive-aggressively says, "yeah, sure, you can do that!" like someone's just given him a gift. So here's your gift. 8. He doesn't tell me this ahead but he brings his wife and crying baby when he begrdudingly shows up to replace my 4th temporary. Doesn't introduce her but has her do suction. I know from the past she's also a dentist and the only reason she's there is to cover his arse bc he's being negligent. The whole time he is being passive-aggressive, jerking me around in the chair, doing things he knows I don't like, even though I'm reminding him. He hands me a letter as I leave w/ a fake "thank you for being my patient and now we are terminated" as if I wanted to see him. What a coward. I asked if this was a joke. All he and his wife say back in his passive-aggressive way is "ok." 9. No referrals or emergency services offered, against dental regulations. 10. He rubbed groin my arm a few times. 11. The blond young assistant/girl at front desk never says hi or bye. This is how he trains his staff.

At the end of the appointment, I clearly told them that I needed time to discuss the proposed treatment with my husband and that I would get back to them regarding whether I wanted to move forward at all. Instead of respecting my decision, they continuously called and texted me, pressuring me to schedule treatment even after I repeatedly indicated that I was still considering my options. The constant calls and messages became excessive and extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, they apparently scheduled an appointment on their own without my consent or confirmation. I never agreed to that appointment, never confirmed it, and never committed to proceeding with treatment. Now they are attempting to charge me $120 claiming it was not canceled 48 hours in advance, even though I never authorized or agreed to that appointment in the first place. This office showed no respect for my decision-making process, my time, or basic professional standards. Scheduling appointments without a patient's clear consent and then charging cancellation fees for them is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dental office to anyone.

A temporary cap was put on the tooth while the permanent one was being made. When I went back to get the permanent cap they could not get the temporary one off so they kept it on. The tooth was still irritating me after the permanent was put on but I did not go back because I was scared to after going through a stressful appointment with this dentist trying to get the temp cap off. About 5-6 months later I was flossing and the cap moved and started causing me severe pain. I went back to this dentist and they recommended a root canal. They did the root canal through the irritated cap and the tooth never stopped bothering me. Now about a year later I can not eat without the tooth causing me pain. I now have to pay 2k for an extraction that my insurance will not cover due to the incompetence at this dentist. I do not recommend going here

Last spring I had my cleaning and they found a crack under a molar crown. I went to an implant specialist. Had it extracted and a bone graft. During those visits I had extensive halo X-rays and regular X-rays. Today I was told if I didn't have a "big picture done" Each Individual Tooth X rayed, they would not clean my teeth. I walked out. That is not necessary. I just had halo X-rays done a year ago. It isn't healthy to have that many X-rays. I am 72. I am not getting all new crowns or veneers. Not going back ever. Furious. They would not clean my teeth unless I agreed to have each tooth xrayed!

Assistants are friendly, and knowledgable about their jobs. I saw Dr Nina Thomas. Her exam revealed an additional medical problem I was not aware of. I am forever grateful for that. I immediately went to my medical doctor with this news. She has a pleasant, calming way about her. Being a nervous nelly -dental patient, this was very welcome. I had my husband switch dentists. He is also happy with the practice. He saw Dr Tim Thomas. Good diagnosis of his problems and also excellent patient care. Oh another bonus, in nice little mall. Great parking and I can easily pick up some take out or do food shopping.

Sadly, Connection Dentistry isn't what it used to be. My family has been with them for 8 years…read more It used to be only one dentist: Dr. Laster, and she seems to have a focused, professional approach. However lately, the bigger priority seems to be on growing the business and selling extra services. For new patients, some of Connection Dentistry's technology or time-saving gadgets might seem impressive on the surface. But their actual necessity, effectiveness, and safety is unclear. This might bring in extra cash for the practice and create a faster patient turnaround, but at what cost? Quantity of patients over quality of service, maybe? On top of this, in our opinion, Dr. Rensch's demeanor/professionalism has been increasingly concerning. We asked Dr. Rensch about some of our family's recent procedures, as it seemed there were some new problems and side-effects directly connected to his approach. Dr. Rensch's response was to avoid responsibility and point the finger back at the patient, seeming to disregard facts and "re-framing" a patient's history. I noted that during this interaction, Dr. Rensch's overall demeanor seemed very impatient and emotional. In addition, over time there were several instances when Dr. Rensch would say a procedure was covered by insurance- but this was not always true. In those moments, we felt pressure to have that extra service done on the spot. We learned the hard way to have all estimates emailed ahead of time before getting anything additional done. And inevitably we'd email back and forth- noticing prices shifting or finding errors. Once their office took so long to file a bill- we could no longer claim it on insurance. This meant that whenever we'd go to Connection Dentistry, we'd spend our own time, patience, and an eagle eye- to try to catch any billing errors. There are a LOT of dentists out there. Do your research, protect yourself, and trust your gut.
