The first thing is that this is the only proper to have been to that sales people aren't hounding you and ruining your R&R time. Upon check in the process was very seamless. All the rooms are outside so you will need to carry your bags up to your room if you're on the top floor. Inside while a little dated it was super clean with lots of space. Great small kitchen to use with all the amenities. Also family room is very spacious as well as eating areas. Plus there is a Murphy bed in the living room which sleeps an additional 2 people. They have a heated pool and a jacuzzi which felt great being it was so cold and great place to warm up. In addition a gym located at the backside of the pool. Nice and well equipped for working out and staying in shape while on vacation. This place is also very close to town and an easy bike ride our 1.5 mile walk. We were very happy with our stay and would be coming back again to enjoy this great town.

Since the weather was iffy, we held the ceremony in the round entry room and the dinner in the dining room. Everyone perfectly fit into both. The photos we took are incredible, being right on the lake side. We ending up turning the entry room into the dance floor after dinner and had a blast! This venue also has a couple of bedrooms, so our immediate family stayed there and loved it. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding, and this venue was a huge reason for such a perfect day!

We wanted to get away for our anniversary and decided to go to McCall. We moved to the Greater…read moreBoise area about six weeks ago and McCall was recommended. We chose the Nordic Inn based on the two Yelp reviews available. I can't find any evidence of correspondence but I thought I had let them know that it was our anniversary. When we arrived in McCall, it was about 11 am. We inquired of the woman at the counter about early check-in. She really didn't answer, just smiled and indicated that 3 pm was check-in time. It was an odd exchange. We asked about recommendations for restaurants for lunch. She just said "Everything is good". Not much help. When we came back, just after 3, the office was locked and another man was waiting. We stood there another five minutes, wondering what was going on, before a woman showed up, explaining that she was in the laundry room, taking care of a problem. She was nice and cheerful, and got us checked in fairly quickly. We were given a first floor room. Our small window was facing the stairwell. For our anniversary. The room was small but clean. There is a cool glass and metal barn door covering the bathroom entrance. The vanity and bathroom/shower are very small. There was no box of tissues in the room. The shower water pressure is weak. The fan works great. The AC works fine. There is a shortage of electrical outlets, none on my side of the king bed. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The property is located on the main drag, a medium walk from the lake and main downtown area. Dark wood and rustic looking. The parking lot could stand to be repaved. When we checked out, about 10:45 am, there was no one in the office. We dropped the keys in the box. We will definitely return to McCall, but I don't think we'll be back to the Nordic Inn.

The smell in the air of the pine and forest are worth every penny. Each room has a private deck with table and chairs overlooking the forest behind the lodge. Inside the main lodge is beautiful and clean, with a pool table and games upstairs. They also have cabins for rent and an entire house for larger groups. The cost is better than the hotels in town, and for the privacy and quiet, this is the only experience worth paying for. But if you need something, town is only a couple minutes drive. My sweety and I spent our evenings during by the pond, listening to the fountain and looking at the stars. The people here have been incredibly polite, friendly, and as helpful as you could ask for. I understand that ownership has changed hands in recent months, so don't give any heed or negative reviews. These people are not the same. Fantastic place! We HIGHLY recommend staying here. So stop reading this and get there!

This campground doubles as a wedding venue and camp/conference center. I have been here for both,…read moremany times, and have always had an incredible experience. Camps/conferences: Located in Donnelly, ID on Lake Cascade, this venue offers a stunning view of Tamarack ski resort across the way. The campground is well-kept, clean, and offers lodging for both large and small groups alike. In the summer, they have paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks that you can take out on the water, and in the winter, cozy up in the fireside room next to the fireplace. Wedding Venue: I have had 3 friends get married here, and all have had gorgeous ceremonies/receptions. When nature gives you a remarkable backdrop, it sure does help bring down the cost of decorating. I've seen two ceremonies near the water area, and one out in an open field. Most recently, my best friend got married here and opted to have her ceremony and reception in the open field. Her father-in-law constructed poles to hang lights from over the whole reception area and dance floor, giving this fall wedding a dreamy and whimsical feel to it. Additionally, they allowed the caterers to use the kitchen to prepare the food for this event. The bride and groom also paid a little bit extra so that the wedding party could stay the night in Faith Height's cabins/lodge the night of the wedding, as Faith Heights is about a 2-hour drive from Boise. Overall: Gorgeous and dreamy. A great canvas for event planners or wedding planners to work with!

Several issues with McCall Party Rentals…read more.. 1) TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION: I first contacted them for a September wedding on January 20th to rent string lighting, stand heaters and beverage tubs. I emailed them SEVERAL times trying to get a contract set up, they never followed through with any contact. There were always excuses, too busy, needing to do a phone call instead, etc. I would give them numerous options for availability and nothing. I'd constantly have to bug them and still nothing but excuses. FINALLY my husband was able to get the stand heaters and tubs rented from them 3 weeks prior to our wedding but now we'd have to do the pick up and drop off because they were too booked. Super frustrating that it took 9 months to book but at least we had the items (lights were no longer needed). 2) THEIR EMPLOYEES STOLE: We show up to our venue and there are 140 chairs and bar height tables left from the previous wedding they did...In the space we needed to set up in. The venue manager had called them several times to let them know the week prior and they still weren't picked up. So now we have to deal with them around picking up their left items so we can set up our own event. We had to work around the left items and move them ourselves out of our way. Two of their employees finally show up Friday evening to pick up the items. I instructed them not to take the tubs or heaters as we had rented those for our event. Not surprised, one of our family members had to stop them from loading the tubs up. We had all of our table decor set up prior to the employees getting there. We also had tubs of items in the building, one tub contained 4 clear umbrellas for our ceremony, as rain was in the forecast. We found the last 4 clear umbrellas in the valley before heading up to relieve the stress of us being dry if it rained. I stopped back to the event building as their employees were leaving, I noticed things were opened and gone through. Our back table candle centerpieces were gone and so were 2 of our umbrellas. Not only that but the venue's shop vacuum was also missing. Two employees and two sets of missing centerpieces and two umbrellas plus a shop vacuum. 3) NO FOLLOW UP AGAIN: We called right away that evening about it. No call back. We called again in the morning. We didn't even care about the decor at that point, we needed those umbrellas. The company said the boss was meeting with the employees that morning and would get to the bottom of it. In the meantime our family spent the morning scouring McCall for 2 umbrellas that could be used instead of enjoying the day. NOT A SINGLE CALL BACK HAS HAPPENED. My husband called twice more with no response. They haven't apologized, they haven't updated us, they haven't offered to make it right in any way. What a terrible company. 0/10 do not recommend. Get it together McCall Party Rentals and stop hiring thieves and creating unnecessary stress for your customers.

We also liked your pet friendly policy. The kitchen appliances worked well. The bathroom towels were nice. We were surprised that the cabin was advertised to sleep 11, 4 adults and 7 children. We cannot imagine where you would put all those people in that cabin. Our party was 2 adults and a dog. The small common space (kitchen, eating area, LR space) seemed like it would comfortably accommodate 4 people, perhaps 6 max. There is only one bath - one toilet and shower space. No 1/2 bath. That's tough if there are 11 in the cabin. There is no storage/cupboard space in the kitchen for dry groceries. At all. Thankfully, again, it was just 2 of us, so we put our stuff on the counter. in the kitchen, there were insufficient dishes silverware, or glassware (seriously, only 6 dinner knives?) for a group of 11. For a big group, maybe they store their extra dry goods in their car and bring in as needed. Same for clothing storage. One bedroom has a small closet and some pegs to hang clothes from. The other bedroom, nothing, other than some weird peg thing on the back of the door. The loft, when I checked it out, had no storage. So, I guess everyone lives out of duffle bags/suitcases. And the loft is a 90 degree hike on a wooden ladder. if your kiddo is less than 4 or 5, you need to assign as older kiddo in case they need to climb down in the night. There is a damaged door to one of the bedrooms, which we later saw mentioned in an earlier online review. The shower had black mold in it, and there was a good deal of grout missing from the tiles in the bathroom. The mini-split aircon-heater when turned on exuded an odor of urine. Perhaps the filter needs to be cleaned more regularly. Most of the windows didn't open. 1 parking spot for the cabin. There was a random dog on the property, barking, etc. Really irritating. The property owners live in Boise. There are no on site property managers.
