They only have 2 girls working there (from what I've seen) so I would recommend making an appointment- even within a couple hours of when you'd like to go - but I've seen people walk in. I always just call an hour or 2 ahead so I don't need to wait and so the girls don't feel rushed since there's only 2 of them. Quick yet thorough service (I appreciate getting in and out with a well done mani pedi and brows in less than 2 hours). Friendly service and they know what they're doing. Never had a mani/ pedi chip prematurely or peel from here. They're also not pushy with services like some places. Most importantly it is very clean- I've never felt like I may get an infection or my feet were soaking in someone else's dead skin (we've all been to that place where you're pretty sure there's crap floating in the water lol). I've been to many nail salons in the GTA and this one is fantastic, better service and results than even some boutique/ hotel spas. Waxing here was also well done. They laser hair removed my legs then I got in the collagen booth for ten minutes which is equivalent to a full body workout, you are vibrated all over and jiggle like mad while hanging on to these bars and tubes of light blast you from all sides it is quite the experience I totally reccommend and would try it again. Then I hopped into the spray tan booth to top it all off. My skin is absolutely glowing and revitalized I am impressed with NUMI all around. When I called to book the appointment, the person on the phone was a bit abrupt, but seemed to know her stuff when I asked a couple of questions. The location itself is very clean, and everyone seems to be very professional. My esthetician was very nice and friendly, and quite efficient - after all was said and done, I think I was in and out in 10 minutes (it was just a basic bikini wax). Overall, my experience was fine, except for a few things: - I told the esthetician (who I believe was Fran) that it was my first time, so any extra info would be great. She didn't explain anything that she was doing, and didn't give me post-waxing skin care tips, which would have been great for this waxing newbie. - The esthetician didn't wear gloves, I thought that was something people did? They do have a handwashing station though, and I watched her wash her hands before she got started. - Despite having done this for 10 years, the esthetician didn't use the same kind of technique I expected from reading up on bikini waxes (e.g. adding pressure to the area after pulling off the wax strip to reduce the stinging). Yes, bikini waxes hurt (I said damn!), but a little help to take away the sting would have been super. Overall, it was fine, and the price was right - $15 + tax and tip. And I'll probably end up going back, because I don't have any other recommendations for local places. But, considering it was my first time, I was sorta hoping for a little more.
