Last night I noticed one of the diamonds in my wedding band was missing. I called Bar-Kay to ask if there was any type of warranty. I was cut off mid sentence and given a response of "No of course not we do not hold any warranty for wear and tear, maybe if it was two weeks but not a year." I then asked if there was any way of looking up my purchase since I now live out of state and my receipt is at my parents house in Philadelphia to possibly give a rough estimate of repair cost. They do not keep any record of purchases. My mom who thought I misunderstood called herself to double check. The response my mom was given was "I cannot keep warranties for every customer, if you bought a pair of sneakers and something happened to them a year later would you expect the company to fix it?" My mom then explained to her she called 4 other jewelers in the area and each one said that it can be common for diamonds to fall out, however they back their clients and fix it. At this point the Bar-Kay employee started to change her tone stating "well just tell her to bring it in and I will see what I can do." No thanks. My family will never go back here. If you are looking for a jeweler in the Northeast Philly, Rockledge or Abington area please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
