I took my old watch to Keswick Jewelers for repair. A pin had fallen out of the bracelet which I replaced with a straight pin. I needed only a new pin/screw. No,luck after a MONTH - and now it could not be put back together because the jeweler lost part of the bracelet! It is the ONLY bracelet that fits my watch. I am furious!!! read more

' very disappointed - I took in my Movado watch because the band came apart - one of the pins holding the band together had broken. I put it together with a straight pin and took it to Keswick. He had it for a month and did nothing. When I returned to pick it up he had lost one of the pieces I left with him. I then took it to Koehlers in Lansdale. They were finally able to put it back together but it took several months to find a usable part. I will never go back to Keswick. read more

After being told by 2 other reputable jewelers that the broken expandable band on my ring (that held sentimental value because it had been my mother's) was no longer able to be repaired, Mike took on the challenge believing he might be able to get it fixed. I'm inclined to give 2 stars because of the prices, but that wouldn't be fair because I came to this place without having done much research. EDIT/UPDATE: prices are comparable to local places that do 'quality' work. I wouldn't come here again to get something simple and silver fixed. But my rose gold/kunzite/diamond ring? He made that bitch SHINE. And now that it's sized to fit me properly I rock it pretty often. I had a tennis bracelet, a nice ring and some other things sized. I've had jewelry sized before and didn't feel like shopping around, so I'll be paying $155 for: (1) the sizing of a tennis bracelet (2) the sizing of 2 rings and, (3) making my two-toned wedding band look more two-toned once again. My silver hoop earring clasp will be free; it will take 10 days for the repairs to be done. The jeweler added a few hundred dollars to a few of my items for insurance purposes (things do get lost; this happened to me once). He was professional and kind, but had he noticed what I was wearing at the time as well as my inventory I brought to have repaired, he would have surmised that I was a potential repeat customer and taken a few dollars off of the final bill. For a gal who knows that the TJ Maxx counter has lots of decent silver and gold at reasonable prices, and that you can get a decent rock at Macy's on special and with insurance for a third of what these folks charge, I'm not impressed with their inventory and I don't foresee anybody with a reasonable budget shelling out for any of it. Next time I won't be in a rush and take the advice of one person about where to go with this sort of thing. With all that being said, I have to repeat that the jeweler was professional and well, I feel good about a supporting small business. Also, this part of Glenside is adorable. If I squint my eyes and use my imagination, it's like a cross between Astoria, Queens and Adams Morgan, DC (with less residences and people on the main street). read more

Bought my dad an old timey Speidel Twist-o-Flex watchband and needed to have it shortened. I struggled with it for over an hour before I gave up. Called Keswick Jewelers on the phone and the gentleman who answered said he could do it with no problem and even do it while I waited. I brought the band in, left it with him, walked across the street to pick up a hoagie and by the time I got back it was done. He only charged me $10. Great service from a local business. Couldn't ask for more. read more
