When we received the no-ice drinks, we understood that ordering without ice might mean the cup wouldn't be completely full. However, the amount of the drink we were given was unacceptable. While the drinks are delicious and worth to us, they are $8.00! Thankfully, when we requested a refund, it was handled by a different employee who was kind, courteous, and professional. I want to end by saying that my sister was polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction. The way she was treated was completely uncalled for, and we left feeling very disappointed. Tried almost all of their drinks, cookies, and macrons, including several of their rotating specials. I've also had their savory croffle and it was delicious. This place is BY FAR the best matcha/coffee shop I've ever had. If you are a Dutch bros or Starbucks person, you may not love it. This place is not about dumping sugar into all their drinks. Flavor comes first, sweetner is secondary. Food/Drink: I'm not the coffee drinker, my partner is, and he rates his favorite as follows: 1. Pistachio Latte 2. Fish Sauce (it has a strong caramel flavor with a little saltiness, no fish flavor) 3. Cookie Butter 4. Black Sesame He's tried every coffee on the permanent menu and these are his favorites. Now for the Matcha/Teas. I can't pick a favorite, because they're all perfect. Not too sweet, and whatever the flavor, it stands out! For example, when they had a pistachio matcha, I watched them crush pistachios for my drink specifically. The flavor was so strong and they clearly know what they're doing picking these flavor combos, because it was excellent. As noted before, Madeleine's offers your standard macaron flavors, in addition to some fun sweet flavors like Watermelon Tajin, as well as savory flavors. Surprisingly the lavender was my least favorite despite us choosing it as a "safe" option - the filling was almost soapy in taste and felt slightly gritty/oily. The watermelon tajin had the flavor of a jolly rancher and also bubblegum and was very unique and interesting to try. The apple gorgonzola was likely my favorite, with the macarons have a sour apple taste and the filling being more creamy with buts of funk and umami from the gorgonzola cutting through. Overall, lots of unique fun flavors at Madeline's and I'm glad I gave it a try! I'm definitely impressed by how they were able to capture this wide variety of flavors in macaron form, and the macaron cookies themseslves are wonderful in texture.
