Everything on their menu looked really good, but I decided to go with something a little more refreshing: a strawberry sundae. Ordering is super easy through two tablets to the left of the counter. It does force you to provide a phone number, so make sure you don't forget to opt out of those pesky text messages once you leave (if that's your preference). The tap-to-pay was very responsive too. The order didn't take long at all, and I very much enjoyed sitting on their little poofs around one of their tables. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my sundae was so light and easy to eat. It had a generous helping of strawberry goodness, with even more at the bottom, which was quite a lovely surprise. Also, the two Pocky sticks on the side didn't even make it past my first two spoonfulls. Last time I came here was a while ago, but I will definitely make an effort not to wait that long again.

I got the purple rain, which ended up just being some soft serve with ube flavor liquid inside and milk cubes. I thought it would've been straight ube flavored ice cream. I wasn't a huge fan of it overall. Same with the matcha latte my fiancé got, he said it was standard. Nothing amazing. Next time I might have to try something different. It was really hot inside of here but I think it could've been because the door kept opening and closing. Overall, while I say it's unique kind of place, I think it might depend on what you order

With all the pending orders, our built-from-scratch dishes came out past 15 minutes. It's good we didn't mind the wait as we made it up with catching-up banter. The ChocoSushi was smothered in two-toned chocolatey syrup and was perfectly warm and succulent. Sliced strawberries & bananas... yes, please! The Dubai Crepe was also delicious. My Dubai chocolate greenhorn friends absolutely loved the blend of Nutella, kunafa and pistachio. These would've been perfect with coffee but it was kinda late for a caffeine fix. Well, ChocoLit Cafe satisfied our cravings. Food wasn't too sweet, just perfect! This is a great spot for dessert, and we'll definitely be back for more late night sweet cravings. I definitely recommend this shop if you're looking for something diverse & delectable.

Rarely have I had a dessert that I can say has changed my life....before I tried Joe's cupcakes. I'm ruined now - I can't ever have another cupcake unless I travel to Rocklin to order from Joe's. The cupcakes are just that good. I have to admit that when it comes to cakes, and cupcakes in particular, I tend to be a dessert snob. It's really hard to find those moist yet flavorful cupcakes with icing that isn't too sweet or overpowering. Joe has such a knack for getting the perfect mix of consistency and flavor, all with an artistic flair. The cupcakes look like small baked pieces of art...they almost look too pretty to eat! But oh man, one bite and you'll be hooked. The cupcakes are rich in flavor, stay fresh for days, and are super moist. You can tell that Joe uses fresh ingredients and his cupcakes are made to order. I've tried practically all of his desserts, and he makes everything well. Pricing-wise, they're also much more reasonable in price than those chintzy cupcake places that cost you half your mortgage for a couple of lousy cupcakes. It really feels like Joe's goal is to bring smiles to his customers through his food. So here's the summary: Food: 5/5. These cupcakes are the bomb. Cracktastic. Epic. Insert whatever adjective that means amazing and delicious. Service: 5/5. Joe is so friendly, and really seems to care about his customers. Price: 5/5. These cupcakes are very reasonably priced. My mom found Just Joe's Desserts while trying to plan for my wedding. Let me just say, I was so happy that she did! Joe was very helpful and the cupcakes were amazing! All of our guests were raving about them! We had funfetti, chocolate, Oreo, Reese's peanut butter cups, blueberry and strawberry flavored cupcakes! All decorated very lovely! For mine and my new husband's cupcake, Joe made us a very large cupcake, that was decorated to match the theme of our wedding! All the cupcakes were cooked perfectly and very fresh! What I loved most about Just Joe's Desserts was that he came the day before the wedding and checked out our venue, met with me to see where everything was going so that I did not have to stress about it the day of. He decorated our cupcake stand the day of and I had no second thoughts about it being done! :) definitely amazing and the price of all it was definitely in our budget! read more

Joe's cupcakes are seriously "to die for". I have been fortunate to try many different delicacies created by Joe and I truly can't pick a favorite. The Reeses cupcakes, the cookies and cream cupcakes, are just fabulous, but the first time I had his chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting, the skies opened up to rays of sunshine, and angels sang. It was truly a divine experience! I'm saying this as a true cupcake snob of the highest order. They are always very moist with defined, delightful flavors. Love Joe's just desserts! I had a baby shower not too long ago and we had catered apple rose pastries from Joe! Joe is the owner and he was really friendly and helpful. I got so many compliments on my unique baby shower dessert idea! The pastries were too pretty to eat! But all my guests were glad they did! I just called Joe and ordered over the phone. It was super easy. He had it delivered to my party location before it started at no extra charge! Professional, courteous, delicious, and unique!
