But these last few visits have been awful. I took my youngest to get her 4 year shots and was informed the office had "run out" of vaccines and wouldn't know when they would receive more. This unfortunately delayed her starting school. I also took my older daughter for her final dose of the hpv shot in July and was told they didn't have that vaccine either. The office then called me last Thursday saying they had it and scheduled her for today - Monday. I show up and they inform me they ran out of the shot again ! I was irritated that I wasn't even given a courtesy call or email so i didn't waste my time and gas driving over there for nothing AGAIN. Why are the offices running out of vaccines so often ?? Why are they scheduling more appointments than available vaccines ? I feel so disrespected for the lack of urgency or communication from this office.

When I arrived there were FIVE people waiting ahead of me in the waiting room. I was given some papers to fill out and asked to have a seat OUTSIDE. What?????? IT'S THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY. IT'S FRICKIN' COLD OUTSIDE!!!!! If someone has to wait outside it should be one of the five visible employees inside the office. Give them a laptop and send them out. They're the ones responsible for overbooking, not me. I asked how long the wait was going to be. I was told at least 30 minutes. Again, unacceptable. Again, I left without being seen. As a sidenote: I was notified three separate times with a request to confirm my appointment (which I did after the first notification). But no call to let me know they were running late. I had to juggle my schedule around to make time in the middle of the day to come to this appointment. The least they could do is be on time. He is on social security disability and lives pay check to pay check the optometrist that helped us was every pushy to get his eye examination done because he was her last patient. I think its ethically wrong for a business to know he has this corneal edema that isnt stable (obviously because the prescription changes a significant amount every year) and not advise him agent getting glasses and spend his money just to take it he spent over 400 this past set on glasses for all the lenses comforts for disappointment because he can't wear them. We would have gone back sooner about this matter but I had to do a little more digging and advocating to see more what corneal edema was all about. They advise you ain't getting prescription glasses till you have had lest two consecutive optometrist visits of no change in your prescription to get prescription glasses.
