A little disappointed. I stopped by this florist yesterday afternoon after I got a coffee from Java Heaven in the same parking lot. I was in Hanford getting ready to give keys to my clients who just purchased a home in the Stonecrest subdivision. I love to shop locally when I can. Usually I will get a bigger closing gift, and put an orchid or succulent arrangement next to it to really welcome them to their new home. When I walked in the door, it didn't really feel too enchanting. There were anthuriums, floor plants, and a couple bouquets in the refrigerator. Other than that, it looked like some Hallmark trinkets/décor/faux plants/etc. A lady came out to tell me she would be in the back if I had any questions. Didn't really seem too helpful / excited that a customer came through the door. Maybe they didn't take me seriously, or they had better things to do. Regardless, the selection was too slim to find anything that my clients would be happy with. Ended up going to Lowe's. read more

I asked for small sprigs of flowers for centerpieces- I wanted them to look like Mom had just picked them from from her flower garden and set them in her kitchen table, as she had always done. I went online & saw many beautiful arrangements, but because of my past terrible experiences with 1800FLOWERS, FTD, & several others, I decided to be old fashioned & call. You know using an actual phone. I explained to the very nice & seemingly understanding woman that I wanted springy colorful flowers & that my mom likes orange & yellow, daisies, roses but stressed I just wanted a nice arrangement for about $60 or so. My total was $76 and change. This is what she received. They don't even blend together! I could hear the disappointment from my mother and she's usually pretty good at hiding disappointment. I'm beyond upset. WTH?!! Why can't someone put together a nice bouquet for a decent amount of money?! No it's not horrible, but can't believe this was what they came up with. I could have asked my dad to pick something up from the grocery store for 1/3 amount & it would have been nicer. AT LEAST it was delivered timely. I ordered flowers for my wife and paid the extra fee for delivery with SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS that they were to CALL FIRST before delivering to make sure someone was home. What we got was a FAILED DELIVERY notification on our door with NO CALL to either of our phones. I ended up having to pick up the flowers at the shop myself. When I asked about a refund for the delivery fee I was refused on the grounds that they had "attempted " a delivery despite them FAILING TO FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS. When I explained that I had asked them to call first because of our work schedules the salesperson rudely retorted that "we all have to work". When a really special occasion comes up, an occasion that should be celebrated with flowers, I go to An Enchanted Florist. I have ordered flowers from three other florists in town for different reasons over the years, but somehow the flowers I get from An Enchanted Florist always seem more vibrant, more beautiful. The year my oldest child graduated from pre-school, I wanted to find a traditional Hawaiian lei (a Dendrobium Orchid lei, to be exact) for her to wear over her oh-so-cute royal blue graduation gown and An Enchanted Florist was the only florist in Hanford that had them in stock at the time. It was expensive, yes, but worth it. I mean, how often does your child graduate . . . from pre-school?! Not more than once, I would hope; maybe, twice, at the most. = ) So two years later when my middle child graduated from preschool, I didn't even bother calling around and just phoned An Enchanted Florist directly to place my order and I was not disappointed. Even now, years after my daughters have completed successive years of grade school, the respective pictures of them with their lovely, bright magenta and white leis contrasted by the royal blue of their gowns are still eye-catching and alive with color. read more

Gee, thanks for replying to my review 5 years later and bringing back up those feelings of disappointment and disgust. I completely understand that the flowers you received were "green" and that you couldn't control that, however the rest of the flowers that were used were not the freshest looking flowers as some were a bit brown. Also I was unaware that you knew 2 days before my event that the flowers were unavailable as you only notified me 3 hours before my wedding. 2 days is a good amount of time to figure out a new plan or to maybe NOTIFY THE BRIDE. I could have overnighted some silk or dried flowers in that time but sadly was not given the opportunity because again, I was notified ON MY WEDDING DAY. I'm sorry your florist was in tears, so was I, cause as you know it was MY WEDDING. And let's not forget the fact that you actually charged me for the beads used to remedy your folly. No one accused you of growing the flowers but one would hope that you would handle an issue of quality and supply with much more skill and class. read more

Suzy and staff did a great job creating the perfect arrangements for grandma's funeral. The flowers were fresh, colorful, and the large blush-colored roses were just beginning to open up. I have only lived in Hanford for about a year and have tried the other florist here in town. I find this one to be the best by far. The ladies that work there are very nice and I have never found anything wrong with any of the arrangements I have ordered. Corsages were beautiful, funeral sprays very nice. I have read the other comments that some others have left and I think they must be just be really nasty people to begin with because I have never encountered any problems at all. Speedy delivery, shop is immaculate, pre arranged flowers are gorgeous and last a long time. I highly recommend this flower shop for anyone. read more
