I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision, especially those seeking acne or pigmentation care. While treatments sometimes provided short-term texture improvement, the overall experience felt stressful, unclear, and ultimately unprofessional rather than supportive. I came specifically for acne treatment and scar management. However, care frequently shifted away from these stated goals, with repeated comments about unrelated concerns and unsolicited suggestions for Botox and anti-aging packages. As a young woman who was not seeking anti-aging care, this felt inappropriate and reflective of toxic beauty standards rather than patient-centered treatment. Communication was inconsistent. Treatment plans changed between visits with little proactive explanation, and limitations or alternatives such as medical dermatology options like retinoids or hormonal evaluation were not clearly discussed. Instead, when results did not improve, I was repeatedly told that there was another package or newer treatment that would finally address the issue. This created a never-ending cycle of upgrades and add-ons, with no clear endpoint or explanation of why previous packages were no longer sufficient. I was also uncomfortable with professionalism and boundaries. During treatments, staff frequently held conversations, including about other customers, while I was present. At times, they openly discussed learning techniques or procedures with one another, which raised concerns about training standards in a setting marketed as expert-level care. Sanitation practices such as inconsistent glove use during extractions were another concern. There was also a noticeable dynamic where spending more money, tipping, or purchasing additional packages seemed tied to receiving more attentive care, which further blurred the line between medical-adjacent treatment and retail sales. We raised these concerns calmly and respectfully, hoping for clarification. Instead, we were met with defensiveness and blame, repeatedly told that it takes more than one session despite attending multiple sessions without improvement. There was no sincere apology, clear explanation, or acknowledgment of our experience, leaving us feeling invalidated and made to feel unreasonable for asking questions. I do not believe this is unique to one business. It reflects a broader issue in aesthetic skincare where medical-adjacent services rely on recurring packages and upgrades without clear ethical, educational, or accountability standards. Acne and scarring can reflect underlying hormonal or health issues and are often more effectively and affordably treated through medical dermatology. Aesthetic care can be a personal choice after root causes are addressed, but it should not replace transparent, hygienic, and professionally grounded care. I hope this helps others make a fully informed decision. I am willing to pay for expert care when it is transparent, ethical, and focused on long-term outcomes. However, after visits I often felt anxious and confused, later realizing I was kept in a cycle of ongoing packages that benefited the business more than my care. I give the benefit of the doubt that this was not intentional, but it is still not appropriate. Surface-level aesthetic care for short-term events may be fine, but treatments advertised as long-term solutions should not be expected to fix complex skin conditions. For true long-term care, medical dermatology is necessary.

I don't know if that initial laser just isn't for everyone or if they had the wrong settings on the machine for my skin type, but either way these guys ruined my skin. The initial laser treatment left my skin, in their own words, "damaged." However, the follow up treatments made the damage even worse, which I believe was due to their not really understanding the underlying causes and issues. To then do random treatments to my face in hopes that it would improve was reckless and dishonest on their part. Each session they told me it would be way better in 2 weeks, only to find it would make things worse. One esthetician there told me my spots were not hyper pigmentation, a nurse there told me it definitely was hyperpigmentation, and the director would flip flop, saying some weeks it was damaged from the laser, while other weeks saying it's just a normal reaction and part of the healing process (even months after the alleged 7 days of downtime). Overall a very chaotic and frustrating experience, paid a bunch of money to screw up my perfectly fine skin and become a leopard. At this point I am quite sure they burned my face and left me with scars. By the 4th session I finally lost all patience and confidence and will be seeking help elsewhere. I do not recommend Nuga, not just from my initial laser experience but because of the communication and lack of expertise/integrity in all the follow up sessions.

Recently, I moved from New York and have been looking for a new brow salon because the one I…read moreinitially found in Georgia was farther from my house and the results were just okay. I was really hoping to find someone who could recreate the style I was used to back home. I found this salon a few months ago and had been seeing one of the brow stylists, who was fantastic. She understood exactly what I was trying to achieve and helped me gradually get my brows back to the shape I loved. Since eyebrow growth takes time, we've been working toward that goal over multiple appointments. Unfortunately, her schedule has been a bit inconsistent lately, so I stopped in today after the gym hoping another stylist could help. Before we started, I explained in detail what I had been working on with the other brow artist and asked several questions to make sure she was comfortable maintaining that same shape. She assured me she understood and told me to trust her. Unfortunately, the result was the exact opposite of what I had asked for. It felt like my concerns weren't listened to, and months of progress toward growing my brows back have now been undone. Brows take weeks to grow back and often months to reshape, so it's incredibly disappointing to feel like I'm starting over. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I spent a significant amount of time explaining exactly what I was trying to accomplish because I wanted to avoid this outcome. I left feeling like I had wasted both my time and the progress I'd made over the past few months. It was simply a very inconvenient experience that could have been avoided if the stylist had been upfront about not being familiar with the technique or shape I was looking for. I'm sure this stylist may do a great job for clients looking for a different brow style, but if a client is asking for a specific approach that you're not confident you can achieve, it's much better to be honest than to promise you can. Setting the right expectations is so important. I wondered if I was just being overly critical, but when I got home, my fiancé immediately noticed the difference and even commented that my brows didn't turn out as well as they had before. I'll continue booking with the original stylist because she truly understood what I was looking for, but I wanted to share my experience so others know to request the stylist whose work aligns with the look they're trying to achieve.

No clothes permitted. So it's complete nudity. There is a cold pool, a warm pool and a hot pool. You must shower before you enter to the pools. There is also a sauna and a steam room. Now for the services. There are multiple different kinds of services. I went for the foot massage, which was amazing. A shout out to Zaluda. This cost $70 for one hour. She was excellent. I also opted for a body scrub, which I've never had before. Boy was it beyond what I was expecting. There are two elderly ladies that have all the energy in the world that do this. You have to be completely nude and you lie down on a plastic covered table. It started off felt like someone rubbing my body with sandpaper. Ouch. I thought I would have to stop after a few moments. However, it got better and boy did dead skin get sloughed off. I was spun around, put in all sorts of awkward positions with one leg up in the air, my legs wide apart, my arms above my head, both front back and sides. As awkward as it was, I felt thoroughly clean at the end. She intermittently through water over me with a bucket. Things that concerned me: - you need to have your ID with you, which they keep at the front desk. They do return it once you have paid for all of your services. - nudity. I was not expecting this. My fault for not reading the reviews before. One gets used to it after a while, but it took me a moment. Overall, this is a great place to relax and rejuvenate. It used to be a place I'd happily recommend to people looking to relax and reset. That changed recently when it became clear they are not welcoming to motorcycles. As someone who rides, that's a pretty disappointing stance to see from a business I've supported for so long. I'm not interested in supporting places that single out riders or create an unwelcoming environment for people simply based on how they arrive. It's a shame, because the facility itself has always been solid and I used to enjoy coming here. But culture matters. If a business doesn't want to be welcoming to the riding community, that's their choice--but it also means they won't be getting any more of my business. Plenty of other places out there that are happy to welcome everyone who walks through the door. ‍

I even have a scratch mark on my back from this atrocious "massage." Then they made me wait for 15 minutes before the owner came to give me a facial finally. When I stated that I shouldn't have waited for a luxury service, the owner tried to scold me for talking to an elder that way and then proceeded to throw her own employee under the bus. When I threatened to leave, she finally apologized for making me wait. To make up for the wait, she said that she applied a very secret face mask as free of charge. Even during the facial, the owner kept the room door open, took phone calls, walked in and out to ensure absolute zero privacy and serenity. And then, get this... when I was checking out, she said that special mask costs extra $20... This is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate, money scheming business ever established. DO NOT GO HERE.

This place was highly recommended by my friend who has been going there for over a year, so I decided to try it out Feb 1, 2019. The first time I went, the owner came and put a chemical peel on my face. It was very painful, burning and felt like someone was rubbing sand paper on my face. I kept telling her it hurts really bad, she said it was normal. Finally it hurt so bad she stopped. The owner kept saying the feeling was normal so I trusted her professional opinion. I know it takes more then one time to have good skin, so I decided to pay $800 for 10 facials and they even gave me an extra one totaling 11 facials. My skin broke out even more and in places I don't normally break out like my eyelids and my chest and back. That week, I contacted her and she said it was normal. I still have scars on my eyelid now. The second time I went, the owner got me to the room to change into a yellow stained robe. I was on the bed ready to go. She said she had to leave because of her kid. They do leave the door open, and it was uncomfortable for me for who knows who walks by. I laid there for 10-15 min until the assistant came in and basically massage and put a mask on. My face didn't break out as much this time. The third time I came, the owner prepped my face. She put a horizontal line of some cream on my forehead and cheek and dab on my nose, not even rubbed it in yet, she received a phone call. She didn't even step out, she stopped what she was doing, answered the call and text, called someone else to translate the text and then text the person back. This lasted 10min or so. She apologized and then she started coughing on me and got some hard candy to munch on while finishing my facial. She aggressively massaged my face, felt like someone was beating me up. She laser my face and wiped my skin with a smelly towel. This was done on Thursday March 7. I started having black spots on my face and cystic acne. I have a lil acne but rarely have cystic acne. This type of acne is very painful and caused when pores become blocked by excess sebum, skin cells, and bacteria. Bacteria which could have been cause by her touching her phone or picking up the candy off the floor that she dropped. Thinking back, she did not wash her hands before touching my face. I waited to see if it would go away and the cystic acne got worse. Tues March 12 at 10:48am I contacted her and politely asked if I can get a refund because my skin is too sensitive from the products she was using. I didn't want the whole $800 back cause I did 3 facials already. At 7:56pm I called and text her to please respond, no response. On wed night, my friend who recommended the place called me and told me the owner called her to tell me that she will give me the refund. My friend told me that the owner called her because the owner English is bad and wanted my friend to tell me. It's funny, the owner keeps saying her English is bad but I understand when she talks to me. So Thurs March 14, I drive an hour to the store and ask for my refund. I walk in and she says she is not ready. I ask what do you mean you are not ready. She says she has no money and I responded, "you don't have to give me cash, just put the remaining amount back on my credit card". Then she says"I changed my mind." I then asked her why would you call my friend and tell me you would give me a refund, making me drive an hour to get here? Then she yells, Carol I'm not ready. That's when I left cause I see it was useless as she was raising her voice. I realized I should get documentation of the facials and I try to come back in to get my facial sheet and she locks the door. So you can see how unprofessional this is. The owner is really nice when you are in business with her but when something goes wrong, you will see the ugly side. This is my experience, so you can decide to go or not. I personally will NEVER step foot in her business or the new one that she is planning to open down the street!
