Very bad experience! Went here on the way home for a 30 minute massage to work on my back. They wanted the pay up front which is weird. $40 for a 30 minute massage. They have a note at the desk that says 2.8% charge for credit card. But they charge 28% and act lime they don't understand. I did it because I was already there and I wanted my back worked on. The lady left the room multiple times and only worked on me for 20 minutes total. And she tried to talk me into other things of course. Not a good experience! read more

I went to this massage spa for the first time. I asked for discount and yelp clearly says $10 off for one hour message but she did not give it to me. While the massage was going on she answered her phone which was interrupting. She went out 5 times. Twice for hot towel and hot stones and three times to answer the door bell or talk to the other worker. It was constant interruptions in a 45 min massage. I started at 1:10 pm and she ended 2 mins early at 1:53 pm. With 5 interruptions and 2 mins less then she asked me for a tip. I visited this massage location and the manager was nice. She allowed the therapist to use my body scrub. They provide a table shower with each massage. This would be gold but the massage is sub par. Also they don't have an actual table fir the table shower they use a massage table, sprayer a bucket and a large ladle to rinse you off. Not the ideal way to do a table shower. I would prefer a traditional table shower table. That allow the water to run through the table. It was an ok experience dor $60. I tipped her well over 50%. Because the manager allowed me to use my scrub otherwise. I would not have been so generous. The place was clean. But not the best place for a true massage. Very bad experience. I went by appointment. On arrival I was asked to pay $60 in advance. I said I will not give tip unless I experience massage. Most unprofessional massage experience, I don't think she was even certified massage lady. She just applied body lotion and no kneading. At the end I still paid $10 tip. Only for me to drive 20 mins and find out they don't offer it when they confirmed it and it's on the site. She called someone and never resolved the issue. Im so suprised nobody has reviewed LOM. Well, I will be the first. I Came here for my own tuneup.. really felt stiff since the weather has changed. Having a massage is like me adding 93 fuel to my tank/ having my oil changed with synthetc oil it makes me drive better lol. I come for a deep tissue/Swedish massages. To enter the spa you have to go on the side of the building to see the entrance. Its clean and very relaxing once you enter. I have always made a appointment ahead of time, that way I go right in. I have been to several massage spa's here in atlanta, surrounding area's. I know a few asian spa's that are my favorite and this is by far one of them. Its always good to learn hands on different techniques that may come in handy. Once your massage is all done have some Hot Green Tea.... (I always ask for lucy) you won't regret it. read more

My mother wanted to take me for a massage as a Christmas present so I checked out reviews and decided to give Oriental a try since there were only a few reviews and only one terrible one. I wish I had listened to the negative review. This was a HORRIBLE experience, and we are not massage snobs at all. I will start with the good- I called a couple days ahead to make an appointment and talked to Laura (owner) who was very nice. We quickly made an appointment and she said we could have 2 separate rooms one with Lucy and one with Rae. We show up Saturday morning at 10:30 and are shocked at the lack of professionalism. Lucy is the only one there and without a greeting goes over the price and asks us to pay before the massage. I looked dubious so when I asked pay now or after she then recanted and said whatever you want. I quickly said after. She then tries to put us in a couples room which I had to clarify at least 4x no we want separate rooms. She shows us each to a room and then tells me I have to wait 10 mins for Rae to show up. I said- "But I called to make an appointment" and she shrugged. No apology or anything. She keeps calling someone and yelling at them in Chinese (we asked the language), even while in the room massaging my mother. A few more weird things about the place- not soundproof at all- can hear doors open (therapists made no attempt to softly close doors and slammed them repeatedly), and there was a big sign on the wall saying to keep your underwear on..... pretty bizarre. I have never had a massage where I am told to keep my underwear on before. Also there are no blankets covering you, only a small towel, so we were both cold the entire time. Lucy was the better massage therapist but her energy was off and she kept going in and out of the room, slamming the door (only once came back with hot stones). There was no communication about whether we wanted oil, lotion, stones or anything. Lucy burned my mother with the hot stones and gave her no warning about them so that was a shock. She may have been having an off day and was frantic and upset that Rae was late, but the whole point of a massage is to relax so nervous energy and entering and exiting the room, talking on cell phone (yelling) while giving the massage, and slamming doors was awful. The other weird thing Lucy did was wipe her oily hands in my mom's hair. She finally went and got a small towel to put on her hair to prevent oil from getting in, but only after wiping them (not massaging the scalp) in them several times. So weird. She did work out the tension in my mom's back, but had to be told multiple times the pressure was too hard. Now for Rae- she showed up 15 mins late in jeans and a short shirt with her belly hanging out. No apology at all. She had a bad cold and was sniffling during the massage. She barely used her hands at all during the massage but mostly used one elbow/forearm repeatedly. She had long nails which scratched me several times and made it difficult for her to dig her fingers into the knots in my back. I heard her wiping her nose while massaging me and smelled her breath because she couldn't breathe through her nose. When she left to get the hot stones she was very loudly blowing her nose outside the room. I am really hoping I don't get sick. I blame management as much for this as I do Rae- if employees are sick they should be able to take sick leave and not feel pressured to work. As for the actual massage- her energy was off, she didn't seem to have any sort of system or progression. She actually avoided the spot along my shoulder blades that had knots. I felt her find them and go over them once and then move onto a different area. I am not sure she was ever properly trained in massage. She rarely had 2 hands on my back and more often just had one hand on and one with a tissue wiping her nose. Most massages I have received make a point to always have both hands on. It was awful. I am really disappointed in this experience- they are close to my house and I was hoping to find a good place I could go regularly. I think the most disturbing part to me was the complete lack of professionalism- no uniforms, no apologies, no form to fill out at the beginning. Nothing. Finally when Lucy was checking my mom out she added the incorrect tip amount (double what my mom wanted to tip). Again no apology. Completely unacceptable. I'm not the person who will take the time to write a review but I have to..I should've turn around when I noticed the entrance but I decided to enter. I was there with my boyfriend for a couples massage. As soon I walked in the place smell like the toilet was overflowing, a mold like smell..my boyfriend really wanted a massage so we stay..the first thing they did was ask for the $110 payment, I found that strange cause we never pay before a massage but new place new rules. We went into the couples massage room and the two therapist came in and as soon as they got in the room they start talking to each other in their Asian language. They talk and laughed for a good 45 minutes of the session. We not sure if they were talking about us or not but it is rude to be over a person/couples and talk a different language. There wasn't any form of relaxation, actually I wanted that 1 hour to go fast cause my therapist was rough and talk too much and she ain't talking to me...a baby even open the door and walk in while we in the middle of the massage smh!!!...anyway the nightmare over and we got dressed. I went to restroom and my very nice boyfriend decided to give a tip.....remember they charge us the minute we walk through the door... anyway he said I want to leave a tip for $12 and the lady had to nerves to say they require a $10 per person, she lost her mind...sad part of this is, I didn't know about the tipping until after we left and I am disgusted by her tip response and the service. The lady that helped me was great, didn't seemed rushed at all and actually ended up being over an hr. Very clean and and relaxing place. Looks a little shady from the outside but nice inside. They go in and out of the room a couple times but the massage itself is great and I feel like a million bucks walking out. I would of given 5 star but there is always room for improvement. could use an upgrade. By constantly running a groupon, they are attracting people who aren't actually willing to pay for their services. These people never seem to be happy with what they get, again, because they weren't really willing to pay for it in the first place. As a result, you have a bunch of rude, dissatisfied customers berating the poor employees of SS all day. These employees are constantly on the defense, or at least they are with every interaction I've had there. They also don't seem to care much about their job anymore. For example, the person I went with had to wait 20 minutes for their massage to start and the technician didn't make up the time. There's just no excuse for that kind of stuff. read more

I have come to Oriental Massage for several years to receive massage therapy. Ray is my favorite therapist. She gives a great massage and knows how to work out all the knots in my back and legs. They provide a free table shower which I get at the end of the massage to make sure that I get all of the oil off before getting dressed. The owner, Laura, has also given me a massage in the past, and all therapists are very professional and qualified. They recently refurbished the facility, so it is now much better than in the past, always clean. read more

I was very disappointed with this establishment. I e-mailed to make an appointment on their website with no response so I called to make an appointment. The website states $10 off any service for first time customers. When I came in for my reflexology, I was told that the $10 off was only for full body massage. I said ok that I would pay regular price even though I was told on the phone that first time customers get $10 off. Next, they wanted me to pay up front and sit up front in the lobby to have my reflexology. I asked if we could do it in one of the open rooms and was told no. I said "no thanks" and left.
