We needed a venue that has multiple sections as the wedding has both traditional ceremony and ethic ceremony. We had different groups working on different things at the same time. The only downside of this venue is their sound system does not match the quality and beauty of the venue. The audio of the sound system was more of a distraction and than an enhancement. On the day of the rehearsal, I had asked for the system to be checked to ensure it meets our needs. I was assured that everything was checked out well. On the day off, the mic went on/off during the whole wedding ceremony. It was so annoying and distracting. Finally, the system went out by itself, which was better. Even if there is no enhancement of the audio, at least no distraction. So, talked to the DJ about it and I was told they were informed that the wireless tends to have that issue. Instead of fixing it, they just let it be a distraction. It very disappointing experience. They assured me that we will be using a wired mic during the reception and it should be okay. NOT! The mic was so low that we could not hear the speaker. Unfortunately, there were so many wonderful messages that were shared and only a few tables close to the speakers could hear the message. I was this place up their sound system to match the elegantness of the venue. The sound system seems to downgrade their entire venue value.

The resort has been steadily going down hill for years now. The road on the beach has eroded so badly that it seems it will just slip into the sea. Maintenance is just not happening and complaints are blatantly ignored. This once was a wonderful place to stay but sadly it is absolutely not worth the money anymore.

The bed was pretty soft 2) the breakfast buffet was adequate but the hot breakfast serving was scanty. We were served one piece of bacon broken in half ( I assume to make it look like you're getting 2 pieces) and half a piece of toast with what looked like one scrambled egg. I understand not wanting to waste food but the portion felt inadequate. I ordered the plate just so I could give my husband my portions since I don't eat breakfast. 3) The innkeeper is a bit brusque. If I were going back to La Conner, I would look for a different place to stay.

I know they say they're 'no-frills' and ...they are all that. But that doesn't mean this multi-building single-story complex can't do better. Pros: -An awesome desk person, check in was delightful, helpful and very informative -Water/ice/ coffee station. Very cool. -Decent air conditioning -Close to CoOp market and San Juan Bakery -Lots of parking. -Fridge and microwave included. Cons; -Paltry room size. You can barely walk around the bed, and the shower is no bigger than a coffin. As a bonus, ours came with a bee carcass in it. -Bathroom door barely had room to close. Sounds were emanating from toilet randomly at night. -Lighting is horrid -Bedding is from last century -Paper-thin walls - you can hear every footstep outside your door. -Outrageous pricing for what was a closet. We stayed in the Yakima suite which is on the very top of this classically fun looking building. The suite was equipped with a kitchenette, wrap around deck with sun chairs, fireplace, and entertainment system. And if that wasn't enough, the bed was tucked away in a cove that has a skylight for looking at the stars. One of the best things about this suite is that directly below the room is a bakery and cafe that serves fresh pastries and coffee from early in the morning till the evening. All the perks of a bed and breakfast without having to check in and out with anyone. The hotel is definitely old. They use big brass keys instead of key cards, but some of the old features add to the charm. We had a corner room with a great balcony and a view. The room was spacious and lovely! Comfy bed, amazing view. Free breakfast was pretty standard- we did love that they had gluten free bread and fresh berries and they were could enjoy them from our room. The staff was friendly and helpful! They offer wine service at the counter, but not from 6-9pm. We thought this was kind of funny, but maybe they're encouraging you to go to the wine shop down the street during that time. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area right on the water that we enjoyed. This was a great place to stay, but very pricey. Two nights cost almost $700 but had the same comfort and amenities as a hotel that would cost about half that.
