PROCESS: We texted him a couple days before with our date, location, and pick up time. We're local and usually park at M&F parking structure so I decided to meet him at the Disneyland Hotel Valet parking lot. It was so nice to be able to get the scooter delivered to where I was located rather than walking all the way to the Disneyland entrance, with the chance that the Disneyland rentals sell out, which apparently happens often. At the end of the day, we just have him a 1 hour notice and he met us at our designated location. Quick and easy. PRICING: The pricing was comparable to the Disneyland's rentals, and even cheaper for a multiple day rental. He asked for our credit card number over the phone but we opted to pay during pick up with a credit card. QUALITY: The scooter was high quality, one of the best looking that we saw around the park. Very clean, new. Battery lasted all day, remained at Full and didn't even move down a notch. Hector mentioned that he upgraded the oem battery so that there's no risk of the scooter running out of batteries mid trip. FUNCTIONALITY: It actually goes pretty fast, at a jogging speed, it doesn't have a slow walking speed limit like the Disneyland rentals have. Turning radius was great, was able to maneuver around most attraction lines (all of DCA, most DL except the older rides) and stores. Can drive forward and backward without the annoying beeping noise. The seat is very comfortable, and much sturdier than the Disneyland rentals. You can lean the seat back low rider and the steering column can be adjusted too. Arm rests can be moved aside and the seat can swivel for ease of getting in and out. There's a wide basket in front and a pocket in back of the seat. Overall, such a wonderful experience. Hector is just starting out and is a one man show. Love supporting entrepreneurs like him! Will be booking them every time we go to the Disneyland resorts now! Very highly recommended!

In a nutshell, here is what we have experienced: -Obviously the cost for a non-Disney ECV rental will be cheaper but only if you have it for several days. The cost for the Disney rental was $60 a day at the time of this review. Typically, the cost elsewhere is around $170 for the week. Do your research. -So, the Disney ECVs have some big time speed limiters on them. It's very frustrating to not be able to go faster than a slow stroll on the fastest speed. it makes it difficult to maneuver around large groups of people and get out of people's way. I think the Disney lawyers went a little too far here. The non-Disney scooters that we have rented go much faster. I'm not saying you should be tearing around the park at breakneck speeds but you ought to be able to get where you want to go at a much less frustrating speed. -The annoying backup alarm. OMG!! Whenever you backup the Disney ECVs they emit a very loud, harsh shrill much like the sound of Iago being plucked alive!! The other scooters that we have rented make no backup sound at all. You just have to go slow and LOOK. -The most surprising limitation is the restriction of where you can even go on a Disney ECV. Do you want to go back to your hotel for a nap? Can't take the scooter. Do you want to go beyond Downtown Disney to the Disneyland Hotel area? Nope. Do you want to scoot into the Grand Californian to listen to some soothing piano music while watching a roaring fire?? Fat chance. You can go to all these places on a non-Disney ECV but Disney won't let you take their scooters. -As far as battery life, I was impressed with the Disney scooter. The battery indicated full charge for the entire time it was used in the parks. To be fair, the non-Disney scooters we have experienced also have an adequate battery life. -The overall condition of the Disney scooter was slightly lower than the other non-Disney scooters we have had experience with but this was not significant. So, if your feet hurt and you need to take a load off for a day, sure, by all means rent yourself a Disney ECV. Just make sure you take your blood pressure pills because you will be frustrated. I however would recommend checking with a non-Disney rental company to compare prices.

I was told the scooter had already been delivered and then told that the driver wasn't answering and then told that they would be there shortly. 30 minutes later the scooter still hadn't arrived so I called to cancel. They were literally half a mile away from my hotel so I'm not sure why they couldn't get it within a 2+ hour window. I was informed that my case would be escalated to the refund department and they would be getting in touch with me. What a total waste of time. 5 days later still no word from the refund department. These items are rented on a first come, first served basis. To assure yourself of a necessary rental, arrive early! Reservations are not applicable here. There's no requirement to have a ticket to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure to rent from here, but then why would you need to rent an ECV if you weren't going in? Who knows!?!? Just thought I'd throw that tidbit of information in anyway. Keep in mind that you cannot take this ECV off Disney property (I think that includes the Grand Californian Hotel even though it is "Disney"). You can only take it to Disneyland Park, DCA, and throughout Downtown Disney! This rental area is located on the Disneyland Esplanade just outside of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance gates near the buses. It costs $15.00 for manual wheelchair rentals & $60.00 for Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) rentals--sales tax applies to ECV rental fee. You also will be required to put down a $20 deposit fee, which is refunded back to your card in a few days after you have returned your ECV with the key. The line was pretty good-sized when I arrived. It moved fairly quickly. You rent the scooter and then go stand in the next line to pick it up. It's an easy process. At the pick-up area, they show you to your ECV and give a brief amount of instructions on how to operate it. Then you are free to take off! I felt like my ECV was pretty beaten up, but they tried to assure me that they were all pretty similar. The seat seemed like it needed to be repadded, and the handle bar was very loose. I called it "janky." The one downside to the ECV is that it isn't equipped with brakes. Once you let go of the accelerator, it abruptly stops! I tried to very slowly release the accelerator so I could stop smoother. All in all, it served its purpose. It spared me from standing and walking all day and into the evening. I would definitely rent from here again because it is conveniently located and wasn't too much more expensive than the other rental places.

I find this to be very unsympathetic to injured or movement impaired folx who could use a dose of compassion. When I initially signed up for a scooter for six weeks, there were none available. Then I signed up for a eight week rental and suddenly there was one available. It would have been cheaper to use a hospital supply store. Cloud of Goods is a bit of a racket.
