Scooters are best up, they have broken headlight, tape on steering bar, metal baseboard edges are bent out of place, flair out or up, you have to remember not cut yourself when you get in/out. It works, but that's it. Tear in seat, headlight didn't work on dark ride lines like haunted mansion. Returned early at dusk. Didn't want to travel the path back to hotel in the dark. I mentioned the sharp edges at pick up too. But the person ignored me. When I turned it in, the males response was it worked, right. I said yes it got me there and back. They have Pride GoGo 4 wheel scooters which worked perfectly for the convention I attended. It was compact, had no problems with my plus sized body, and worked well. It arrived on time and fully charged. The battery lasted all day, no need to recharge in the middle of the day. My scooter in particular didn't have a horn which would have come in handy once or twice but not a deal breaker. The scooters was clean but definitely well used. After renting a scooter at Disney for over $65, we realized it was convenient but overpriced. When we were at the knotts hotel, the front desk suggested to rent a scooter from a company that they work with. We did so and Cost was the same as knotts but the guy didnt seem entirely honest about the cost and time of return. While waiting for our scooter, we encountered another customer who rented from "a scooter 4u" and they let us know they had a good experience and we regretted we didn't go with them. While at knotts, we decided we needed a 2nd scooter and decided to call "a scooter 4u" this time. We spoke to Jerry and he was fabulous. He was very honest and down to earth. He made every effort to arrange a drop off at the hotel sooner than expected and because the only scooter he had on hand had a missing handle (which wasn't a problem for us, tho understood that it may be a safety issue for others), he gave us a discount. He has the best prices. Not only that, but he arranged for us to be able to return the scooter the following am so we didn't have to worry about getting back to the hotel by a certain time. Hands down we would rent from here again. Had no problems w the scooter itself and it served its purpose After this experience, I would highly suggest renting from a 3rd party instead of thru the amusement park itself. Why? 1. You won't have to walk to the park or have someone drop u off to get the scooter 2. You won't have to walk back to the hotel from the park. Just take the scooter back to the hotel 3. I just did 3 days at Disney. I have planter fasciitis and am in my mid 40's. I knew better but I tried to tough it out and not rent a scooter. I made it 6 hours... and then decided to try and search for a scooter to rent for the next 2 days while sitting in Disneyland. I contacted one company, left a voice mail, got a call back and then was told they'd call me back to see if they had a scooter available for me. I filled out the online form for A Scooter 4 U while I waited and received a call immediately. I explained how I had tried to tough it out but my feet hurt so bad and really needed a scooter for the following 2 days. Unfortunately, I had a similar poor experience as other reviewers have mentioned for this company. I called to ask some questions about a reservation. As I began explaining my situation and concerns, I was immediately cut off by Jerry and told I needed to simply answer his questions rather than "talk too much." (I.e. only speak when spoken too.) He frequently kept calling me "dear" in a condescending tone, even after I asked him to stop and refer to me differently because it was not professional, respectful nor endearing. I was initially interested in using his company because their website mentioned they delivered scooters at 6:30 a.m. to beat their competition (most other places quote 7am) when I asked about this, Jerry kept insisting that 7am was his delivery time and that if he had too, he would make it work for the scooter to be delivered at 645am. When I mentioned my concern about how that didn't align with what his business website said he cut me off to say "that is neither here nor there. This is what it is." He also mentioned how he doesn't accept cancellation or do business through email, but his rental process first requires an interest form that goes through email Overall, I was not confident his company would honor their agreements nor be helpful in case of concerns or issues with the equipment. I also didn't want to give someone so rude my business. A little bit of Walt Disney's leadership principles and customer service training would go a long way for this business man. I needed a mobility scooter for Disney Land to replace a wheelchair. I remembered A Scooter 4 u from an interaction I had with a lady a few weeks prior near Disney. She raved about them. I went online and filled out an application. I received a call the next day with a price to have the scooter delivered prior to needing it and picked up once I was done. The scooter was delivered early the day I needed it. First glance the scooter looked used, which to me was a good sign that people actually use them. The seat had a little black duct tape and the scooter had some scratches. Once inside Disney Land I discovered my scooter was in much better shape then most the others. I lasted from 8am-930pm on a full charge without the battery meter dropping any. The power stayed powerful throughout the day. I charged the scooter at night and enjoyed day 2 the same as day 1. I returned to my hotel and left the scooter with the hotel and I can only assume it was picked up as I have yet to receive a call. I would recommend A Scooter 4 U for all your venue needs. I am a return customer since we utilized this company only 2 weeks prior to our last request (9/2) for a day at Disneyland. I called Jerry to ask questions for suggestions on which would be best for my 7-month pregnant daughter. (Previous rental was for my MIL who is 80y) He said that, "I will have a perfectly comfortable chair for your daughter!" It was delivered to our hotel night before we needed and upon receipt, it had a broken arm that would not stay up, electrical tape on the other most likely covering a tear or rip of some kind, AND the headrest was missing on the chair back where it was supposed to be! Totally opposite of the scooter that we received for my MIL which was like new and worked great! My daughter did not complain as she was grateful for the rental but I was quite disappointed with what we received as opposed to what was promised?! We even discussed it AND our rate was more than what my BIL received 2 weeks prior! Yes, we got the 10% but at that point when I first saw the condition of this scooter, it did not make up for the things that were promised. Sorry, don't know if this helps anyone but like i mentioned, it may be a hit or miss since the previous rental was perfect! Now that we are back going to Disneyland after the pandemic I have to say that Jerry and his team are just as easy to work with now as they were back then. On our last trip in April 2024 I actually broke a plastic piece off of the scooter I was renting going through one of the Disneyland ride queues. I booked an online order late the night before after driving 20 hours for disneyland. They called me back that morning to confirm and had a scooter delivered to my hotel an hour or so later. Was super accommodating. Ordered a scooter for 4 days about a week from my trip during the holiday season at Disneyland and they were able to provide at a good price. Then during my trip, I had a need to order another for another member of my party and at the end of their business day they were able to set me up with a scooter first thing the next morning. They deliver to and pickup from your hotel and claim to be able to come to your location within the parks if the scooter needs immediate maintenance (didn't have the opportunity to test that claim). We have rented from This place 3 times in the past 4 months. This time we were going to Knotts for 2 days and then Disneyland for a week. Jerry arranged the 2 scooters to be picked up and transferred to the next hotel for us without me even having to ask. Last time the battery died due to me not have the charger plugged in all the way and he was so nice about offering to get someone out to us after hours but we got it back to the hotel. Then he called multiple times to check on us and offered a replacement scooter which wasn't needed as I got the charger plugged in. I have tried to rent a scooter on two separate ocassions from this company. On both occasions, I have spoken to the owner who has been rude and condescending. When I was being helpful and polite spelling name and city name he replied that He knew how to spell. I checked in on YELP but could not use the 10% discount via phone reservation. He also insisted that the hotel for drop off had white carpeting and would not let him leave the scooter in the lobby. What hotel is dumb enough to put white carpeting in the lobby. I ended up canceling my reservation each time. Did not want to give him my business. It was the first time I was renting a scooter outside Vegas and Pechanga, I needed something easy to fold and which would not take took much space in the trunk. After making an appointment ( making sure they wouldn't be on delivery) I was very pleased to see that the gentleman Jerry took the time to explain me the difference between all the models I should consider. This is very rare bc usually after 5 min people in stores make you understand that they have something else to do. After I selected the model, Jerry showed me how to fold and open the scooter, I practiced and drove it a little bit to see how comfortable I was.
