Darrin at Anat Lock and Key was amazingly great! We needed our front door handle taken care of- either re-finished or to get a new one all together. Darrin gave us the name of a company that re-finished the brass and made it look like new. For the interim few days, he was able to give us a temporary lock that would work and still lock within our existing door holes. Once we picked up the shiny like-new handle, Darrin was able to come over in a very timely manner and put this handle back on. Today I enlisted the help of Anat Lock and Key for the second time and sure enough the work was stellar just like before. This company was originally recommended by a real estate group with which I work frequently. The first time around, I was selling a condo and the buyer's inspector said there was a problem with the front door lock. Escrow was supposed to close within one or two days and I was stumped as to fixing the situation. I called Anat Lock and Key and was greeted by the most friendly, kind voice. The main locksmith's wife answers the phones and is unbelievably helpful and patient. We were able to make an appointment right away and as soon as Marty (the locksmith) showed up, he knew exactly how to fix the situation. Not only did he help with the door lock, he spent a few minutes just chatting. A true gentleman who loves his work. Today's project was a little more involved and it started out yesterday with the same friendly and kind voice answering the phone. We made an appointment for today at 1PM. Sure enough, the HOA called and said they'd be blocking the driveway until 2PM. I made a call to Anat Lock and Key to ask if we could push the timing back. They were able to accommodate my request and we rescheduled for 2:30 PM. 2:30 on the dot I got a call that Marty was at the gate waiting to be let in. As soon as Marty walked up to the front door he recognized me from months ago, gave me a big smile and commented on the place he helped me with before, asked how the sale turned out, and even remembered the weather from that particular day! Today I had three locks that needed improvement and keys made/duplicated for four locks. He expertly fixed it up in no time. And as an added bonus, he even helped straighten out two doors that before didn't shut and lock easily. After his handiwork, the doors closed easily and the deadbolts lined up with laser precision. Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. We called here to get into our apartment. We had forgotten the keys (obviously). A man arrived wearing flip flops, very rude to both of us. He even commented on the fact that we had to walk to get to our apartment. We get there, looks at the lock and says that he can't open it without breaking it. So he tries to open it with some piece of plastic... Didn't work. So then he tells us "you have to make a quick decision, I either break it or I go". Well, didn't leave us much time there to think! We weren't informed as to why he would break it, nor of the real price of a new lock, (which he didn't have " 30 dollars at home depot). No, I am sorry If I call someone and pay I am not going to home depot after. After he left, again being very rude, we looked online what was wrong with our lock and called someone who got us in in 5 mins and replaced the lock as well. read more

We had a deadbolt and key set that were frozen and the door couldn't be opened. Called Anat and was able to get a same day appointment within a few hours. The technician arrived on time and disassembled the locks. He was able to replace the deadbolt and unfreeze the lock set. We had him make some new keys for the locks.
