My husband and I ate dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The owners greeted us immediately. The appetizers and complimentary freshly baked bread with dipping sauce were delicious. Our entrees were equally as good. The restaurant was very clean with a Mediterranean decor which was beautiful. To top it all off, all the baked goods are made on the premises. We were too full to eat them there, so we took some home and they did not disappoint. we will be sure to remember to have Turkish coffee the next time we visit. read more

Second time tonight. And as delicious as the first time which was about a month or so ago. Delicious, authentic Turkish food. The first time we visited they were very busy and ran out of the gyro sandwich dish. Tonight, I ordered the gyro and an appetizer of falafel. Tasty and attractive on the plate. We met the owner and he mentioned that he grew up in the restaurant industry in his hometown in Turkey. In fact, his family still runs a restaurant in Turkey. Some people love being a restauranteur and they bring the best with passion and excellence. This is effectively true for Anatolia. It is the best spot for Turkish Mediterranean cuisine in greater Rochester / Monroe County. Located in Sea Breeze it's an easy access at the end of Culver Road or end of 590 and hang a left onto Culver, overlooking Lake Ontario. The dining room is warm, comfortable and authentic modern Turkish ambiance cafe. You feel like you are in someone;s caring dining room from Turkey. The menu has a large selection from appetizers, to main menu, soups, chicken, lamb, beef, fish and pides. A crisp fresh salad and rice comes with many of the dinners which has a yummy dressing. So good fresh baked soft bread with high quality olive oil and dabble of balsamic vinegar are served to start you off. We've been there multiple times and each time the food is delicious. We've brought friends, family and visit for a planned or spontaneous dinner outing. Every visit is good. Every meal pleases the pallet ever time. And simply amazing are the desserts. The price value is good. I love that even though there's no alcohol license, they allow bring your own liquor. Food was delicious but the Mixed Grill was missing food. There was no pita and only one piece of grilled tomato. Also, where was the pickled vegetables? I found it odd that I received half a box of lamb, half a cup of white rice, a bagged salad and one piece of grilled tomato. No sauces, etc. that was 40 dollars. Unacceptable read more

Went there for the 1st time Friday night. Was pleasantly surprised upon walking in. The décor has changed drastically from when it was a hamburger joint. It was very tastefully decorated and opened up. Clean and tidy. Utensils were spotless. If utensils are dirty when I go to a restaurant, I'll walk out. The owners and the wait staff were very cordial and pleasant. To top it all off, the food was excellent. You could tell they took pride in opening up their restaurant. We will be back. read more

I had read a review so a friend and I had lunch here today. We had a very nice young lady who was on her 2nd day as a new wait person there. She was very pleasant and helpful although she was also learning about Turkish foods. There's a similarity with Greek cuisine but significant differences. I had the gyros dinner. Turkish style is coated in a tomato sauce. It's different from Greek sauce but very tasty. My friend enjoyed her chicken soup and grilled shrimp. The interior had been nicely redone. Having been a hot dog stand for a number of years, the redecorating is very nice. They are waiting on their liquor license. They do serve Turkish coffee and tea. I'm not a coffee lover anyway and I do know Turkish coffee is different so those interested this would be a good place to visit. The good was very good, the service was excellent and the ambiance very nice. Prices were reasonable. I would give Anatolia's a definite place to check out. read more

Across the street from Sea Breeze and the lake sits a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was warm and inviting as was the service. My friend and I were seated in a comfortable booth nestled across with a view on one side of the amazing desert selection and the lake on the other. I ordered the chicken shish wrap which was amazing, and my friend had the chicken shish plate which she enjoyed as well. After our meal, the server and the chef/owner walked us through the amazing desert selection and helped us to pick out what we wanted to eat there and what we wanted to bring home. We each had a few baklava bites which were perfect to wrap up our dining experience. We were told that in the summer they plan to add more tables and a fire pit outside so people can enjoy the weather and some views of the lake. I know that I will be back and can't wait to try some of the other dishes. read more

I do not understand why this restaurant was given such great reviews. I consider myself a foodie been to the best mediterranean restaurants in upstate NY. Anatolia was one of the worst restauants i've ever been to. The pistachio baklavah is the only thing i would recommend. The food was not seasoned well, appetizers were mediocre, and the service was alot worse than the food. First the appetizers were served after the dinner; we had to keep asking where is an item we ordered because no one asked us if we needed anything. Our appetizer plates and dinner plates were never cleared, out we sat there for 30 minutes waiting to be asked if we want desert or coffee. we actually had to get up and help ourselves to desert and ask more than once for coffees. Then the bill came! We could not believe the bill. You would think we ate at a high end steak house. The food/service was not worth two hundred dollars. For the portion size and food quality this was not worth the money. I am sorry but we will never go back. read more

This place was a surprise. I didn't expect it to be a sit down restaurant. You get this bread with a dipping sauce. Tea. So nice. I loved the lights and dishes. Waitress was awesome. Owners were out and about though they don't really speak English. But very cordial. I had the gyro. So I'm thinking a regular Greek gyro. Nope. This was so different. It was in a wrap and the meat was finely chopped and some dressing that looked like Thousand Island which was also on this little salad they give you. The flavors are blander than this American palate is used to. Husband had the chicken shish wrap. Chicken was nice and tender. We got these chocolate almond cookies. Very similar to biscotti. I went home and dunked. Lol. I will try different dishes the next time. So apparently there was a mix up between two booths. They both received the wrong food. Hysterical because they switched 1/2 of their plates with each other. The waitress apologizing. They each got to try different things. A jovial atmosphere that the rest of us enjoyed.
