There is burnout because the floor nurses do the same thing every day and they are caught off guard when a critical status appears. A particular nurse was mentally abusive, dismissive and falsified records to cover up. Communication will not move up to the decision makers. When matters are brought up to management they will be dismissive but tell you they care. The culture is not safe because they do not make the changes needed to ensure safety on the floor. I do not trust the hospital floor situation because of a lack of ethics and professionalism.

Scheduled an appointment a year in advance, checked in 10 minutes early. 7 people checked in after…read moreme and 4 of the 7 were called back before me. I sat for 35 minutes before asking the front desk receptionist when I'd be next. I had my toddlers and husband (who took off work) sitting in the car waiting on me. She asked my name and who I was there to see, and when I answered she made a face like "uh oh" as if she'd forgotten to put me down or something. Another woman in the waiting room approached the desk with a similar concern before me and said she had been waiting a while and it sounded like the SAME receptionist had forgotten to check her in/put her folder where it needed to go for the nurses to call her back. After she confirmed who I was, she said "you're next so I'm not sure why you've had to wait." And I told her multiple people that came in after me had been called back already. She said 2 doctors had to go for deliveries, and that the person I was there to see was the one who was taking over for one of them. Okay, understandable. So I asked how long til I would actually be seen. She said she didn't know but would ask and then asked if I wanted to reschedule.. what?! I scheduled my appt a year in advance and had been waiting for 40 minutes at this point, why would I reschedule if you said I was next? Well, I WASNT next. And she never found out how long it would be. She avoided eye contact with me the entire rest of the time I sat in the waiting room and 7 people were called back in the next 25 minutes, and not one of them was me. So I called the west side location, told them the situation and they got me scheduled for an appt with my ACTUAL doctor in the next few weeks. In the 5 minute phone call, 5 additional people were called back, not a single one was me. All in all, I will NEVER return to this location. I waited 65 minutes, was never seen, and 12, TWELVE people were called before me even though I was "next". Do NOT go here!

Her throat was so bad they struggled to understand her. They sent her out with two scripts that she was unable to take because she couldn't swallow. Less than an hour later I took her to the ER. She had an abscess tonsil!!! They had to drain it in the ER. She listed her pain level at a 10! What a waste of time and money at West Wichita walk in clinic.

I wanted a second opinion & right away i was ordered an x-ray and given proper medication for pain management. I was recommended for an MRI to find out what was wrong. I felt very taken care of and the staff was really concerned about my wellbeing. I was in and out within 30-45 minutes. In the past, I had never had a doctor take me as seriously as the one I saw today. I am very satisfied with my visit and am finally feeling relief after weeks of constant pain.
