this store is one of my favorites. I used to frequent more often when I lived closer. still worth a 15 minute drive. Alexis & Shayna did a fabulous job helping me. I needed to re pot an 8 foot Monstera. It was 45 minutes to closing and I never felt rushed. Loading was made easy. They had me pull around to where they had loaded everything heavy into a cart. customer service is fleeting these days. And these two girls did their job and cared. outstanding service. I needed wood for an absolute disaster of a bed I got off Amazon. Picked the wrong day to come (it was their SpringFest) but any other day I assume they have plenty of parking. Even with the fest in full swing, the staff was helpful, they didn't mock my lack of knowledge and I got a lot of wood fast for a fair price. So yeah this place is pretty awesome. read more

One of my favorite places to get plants! I love the plant selection here, as well as the plant/gardening supply selection. Sometimes I like to just take little strolls through the outdoor gardening section because it helps calm me down and I might find something cute to add to my collection. The gardening staff are always so very helpful, professional, and thorough in their advice. One employee was helpful in keeping one of my plants from dying. There are also nice indoor plants that I've gotten for a reasonable price. Overall, a bang for your buck and I trust this location for gardening needs. read more

One of the best plant nursery and garden center in West LA! Glad we stopped by here while waiting for 405 fwy traffic to die down so we can window shop and relax. I've always enjoyed this place, it may not be the largest, but there is always something fun to find. The holiday trinkets are terribly entertaining, but the garden area is the best, and yes, there are other things like paint and fixtures if you need that. Also, they still have lumber, and it's easier and better than dealing with the guys with the orange aprons. read more

I sent my 21-year-old daughter to go buy me some lumber for a work bench we were building. Instead of sending her to Home Depot I sent her thinking the Anawalt guys would take care of her instead. If you don't want to deal with mega stores like Home Depot, this small but great hardware/nursery store in west LA at the corner of Sepulveda and Pico is a great alternative! They have most of the common items and the smaller store makes it easy to walk around and find things. Helpful and friendly staff and, most of the time, checking out is fast. We like their nursery a lot -- not too big so it's not too overwhelming and reasonable prices. They have a large parking lot right in front so it's easy to shop here. And if you come around lunch time, there's usually a food truck so you can pick up some cheap eats on your way out! read more
