Nice hardware store. It's on some beautiful property with beautiful trees surrounding it so it's nice and shaded. A lot of unique quirky fun items to decorate your garden. Nice healthy looking plants everywhere. Came in for a part for my bidet and the sales employee was extremely helpful even though we didn't get the part we needed. I recommend this location. These guys are SO helpful. The hardware store is a maze of connected buildings with giant oak trees growing through some of the sections so ask for help. No easily marked aisles like Home Depot here - and it adds to the fun. I appreciate that Anawalt has had every tool, lighting, and plumbing accessory that I've needed. For being local in Malibu, prices are not outrageous. And completely worth it to no have to brace Kanan or another of the canyons on a weekend day jammed with beach traffic. read more

Great little hardware store in Malibu! A bit of an odd location, but it's central, so that's good. I came here looking for lightbulbs, which I know nothing about, so thankfully one of the employees here was able to point me in the direction of what I was looking for. Cheapest propane exchange this side of the Palisades! No really. $19.99 to exchange here and around $27 at other spots. Buying a new canister is more pricey, $40 something. I called ahead to evaluate whether they might be able to help us swap out our empty container for a full one and they were really helpful over the phone and in person. Friendly, good selection of all kinds of stuff including lawn related items (plants, wheel barrels, planters) and stuff to renovate bathrooms/fix pipes - the usual hardware stuff. They also have a cat which ups the appeal. Easy parking too in a little shopping area with lots of fancy shops. read more

This hardware shop is your go to place if you are looking to grab some screws, hardware, or get a copy of keys made in Malibu. With no other hardware shops in close proximity, this is definitely our best option, and it is a pretty great option. I came here several times for things you need for quick fixes. Although they don't reach Home Depot or Lowes prices, that is expected, and at least they have things in stock. I recommend the Malibu Hardware store to all in the area read more

this used to be a local store that was friendly and easy. Now the employees have a nasty attitude, filled with their own importance. They have a new system where you have to get a 'write up' from an outside employee before you can buy anything. very time consuming.
