It's rare that I eat in the hotel, but I have to say that Anchor & Den has good food and a fantastic happy hour! I would highly recommend the Korean Chicken bites on happy hour! They have a good selection of food with an omelette station and lots of other choice for fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, granola, toast and juices. Overall, a very good choice. Anchor and Den is the main restaurant for the Grand Cayman Marriott. The restaurant is like the hotel with the Summer House Theme and is a great vibe. The staff would remember us each morning coming in to eat. They have a fantastic DJ and vibe each night. I had way more to eat here than i took pictures but everything was fresh and fantastic. I even got home the same weight i left and no idea how i did that but maybe it was the Avocado toast. It's almost impossible to get Sunday brunch reservations at Anchor & Den, so plan accordingly. It's a beautiful space in Marriott's lobby and has plenty of your brunch favs available for tasting. We received a welcome drink upon entry and brunch included beer, wine, mimosas and a signature cocktail. I enjoyed everything I selected to sample. Everything from breakfast options were fresh, the carving station had the best chimicurri and the dessert bar provided for vegan options, if your heart desires. I think I had a little of everything, certainly wasn't disappointed with anything I chose. Cocktails were excellent There's a courtyard right outside looking out for an amazing oceanview. This was a delicious spot. I don't always have high hopes for a hotel restaurant but this one proved otherwise. Bright, interesting flavors with an Asian POV. The sushi was delicious; the Korean chicken bites bright and pleasantly acidic and sweet, with a little heat; the pork bowl brought sweet and tangy pork with a crunchy cabbage slaw that hit all the good notes. We had a fantastic all-around experience at Anchor & Den, the first of several Grand Cayman restaurants we visited during our vacation. Food was a hit all around - from vegetarian dishes to burgers, appetizers to entrees - and we got prompt, attentive service and also enjoyed the live music! We ate only from the main menu, not the Spanish tapas dishes. We did appreciate how the restaurant set out examples of the tapas dishes near the entrance, so we could see what each looked like and how big it was. Anchor and Den well the main part about this restaurant is the Sunday brunch! It is called Wanderlust brunch. WOW what an experience this was! Bottomless mimosas... the buffet was to die for! They had a wide range of assortments of food. Sushi, charcuterie boards, omelettes, meats, cheese table, and soo much more! There was also a DJ and just fun vibes all around! The desserts looked amazing too. Service was a bit slow but besides that it was a great experience. There was one other time we ate here for breakfast before one of our excursions. First time to visit this establishment. Overall not impressed. Ordered tiger shrimp and they gave us shrimp that came from a grocery store. Meaning they were frozen! The popcorn shrimp sushi roll was excellent. Main dish was the snapper. It wasn't bad but not good enough to order it again. My wife ordered a rum brûlée to drink and it was excellent. I had rum and Coke which was very good. Now, the interesting part is that they tried to charge me for the 12 year when they told me they gave me the younger stuff. Keep an eye on your bill. The atmosphere was pleasant but overall I recommend going to a local restaurant and staying out of this Marriott restaurant! Enjoy! read more

I am incredibly WOW'd by Anchor & Den. I stayed at the Marriott (this restaurant/bar is located inside the Marriott attached to the lobby) for 2 nights and I must have had a permanent seat here. I came for breakfast twice, drinks and snacks, and dinner twice. That's A LOT of eating at one place in such a short trip. Here are the top reasons why I really loved Anchor & Den: - They have the biggest collection of gin on the island. It's impressive! They even have a beautifully made booklet of all the gins, their stories, and information about them. It's awesome to drink the gin (especially at Friday happy hour when they have discounted gin cocktails and fun food platters) and read this book while using a pirate voice. - The CONSISTENCY is amazing. I ordered the octopus twice (talk about pure succulence. They cook it perfectly) and it tasted exactly the same between the two different days - EVERY dish I had was great. The wagyu beef was a standout and comes with a nice veggie side. The pork buns... I'm drooling just thinking about them. The lamb shank was so tender and was over a bed of perfectly whipped potatoes. The dishes are very, very thoughtful and well prepared. The sushi, especially the seared salmon roll... I'm drooling. The presentation is really nice as well if you appreciate that. - The SERVICE is amazing. The staff (obviously) got to know us after dining and drinking there often. They are extremely friendly, prompt and professional. - The ability to dial up or down. If you're wearing a cover up, it's perfectly fine to sit at this beautiful bar/restaurant in your bathing suit and flip flops. It's nicely decorated, yet approachable and friendly. I really loved it here. I literally spent over $500 in food and drinks here. Would I do it again? Hands down yes. read more

Loved coming to Anchor and Den so many times during our stay at the Marriott! All of the restaurants on the property are incredibly knowledgeable about allergens. I've never been to a restaurant repeatedly where everyone asked me if I had any allergies before we even placed our order. Some of my favorite meals included the snapper, poke bowl with tuna, prawns ajillo, charcuterie, and burger. They have excellent gluten free sandwich bread also! The service at Anchor and Den was among the best I've ever experienced - even better than at many high end hotels that we've stayed at previously. While staying at the Marriott, we easily spent the most time (and money) at Anchor & Den, either picking up coffee and breakfast, ordering lunch, or having a sit down dinner. For breakfast they have a variety of crepes or regular breakfast options. I would often grab a coffee after a workout, and there is a comp refill before 11. For lunch, on one occasion we wanted to eat as a group by the turtle lagoon, the staff got an extra table so that it could accommodate our party. We sat down for dinner once during our trip. They were able to easily accommodate our party of 6 adults and 5 kids. The service staff was excellent! The multiple interactions we had with them, there wasn't ever any instance where they didn't provide stellar service. In fact, during our sit down dinner, my 4 yo son had a minor meltdown when my wife mixed the breading on his mac n cheese. The waiter was gracious enough to redo it. Overall, we had a great experience with the staff at Anchor & Den. read more

We are staying at Marriott and have been to Anchor & Den for breakfast and light dinner a few times. I love the structure of this restaurant. I don't know if all these little food station are part of Anchor & Den or Marriott but they have a gelato station, crepes station, sushi station, and then a standard seat down area.
