Everything was very good, I just wanted more spice! Their jerk chicken was marketed as very spicy and I had to put a good dousing of their scotch bonnet sauce on top. That sauce was fire though. Their whole snapper with the okra and peppers was phenomenal, and I loved the salt fish fritters. Overall very happy with the meal. This place is hopping, such a fun vibe. We had the pasta with jerk chicken and Alfredo sauce and ribs with sweet potato fries. We also had a side of fries. Everything was delicious. My only complaint was the limited meat on the ribs. Peppers is a must do if you're in Grand Cayman! Its large covered outdoor space creates a very open and comfortable vibe. They have several TV's, plenty of tables and bar seating. The service was quick and our server was very attentive. I also find their pricing to be very fair and reasonable. The icing on the cake is the food is amazing. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, and a margarita to drink. My husband ordered the curry goat with corn on the cob. Each also included plantains, a small side salad and cole slaw. The BBQ chicken was absolutely loaded with flavor--smoky, juicy, and perfectly glazed. Every bite hit. The oxtails were next level. The meat was so tender it was literally falling off the bone, swimming in rich, savory gravy that soaked perfectly into the rice and peas. The plantains were sweet, golden, and cooked just right. I tried the Pepper's Punch--it was strong with a nice kick. I just asked for a splash of pineapple juice and the waiter made it perfect. The sauce was thin to the point of being soupy, with little to no curry presence. The dish had no body, no warmth, no layering of flavor just water where there should have been depth. Even the rice was off, adding nothing to salvage the plate. These are foundational dishes in Caribbean cuisine. A must when you're in the Cayman Islands! Our hotel was thankfully a short walk away, so we went here twice on our trip. I had to of course, try the oxtail. I would say it was just okay. It wasn't the best oxtail I've ever had but it defs wasn't the worst. I appreciate that they gave a fair amount of meat and it wasn't just a bunch of bones. Now my favourite things would have to be the jerk pork and coleslaw. Heck, the rice and peas was amazing too! The jerk pork was perfectly seasoned and juicy and they give you a good amount! The coleslaw was fresh, not overloaded with mayo and everything about it was just right. My jerk pork meal was so big I had enough leftovers to have a full dinner later that night. After a long flight, the hotel told us to head here for refreshments and Peppers did not disappoint! Live music and an airy seaside Caribbean atmosphere put us at ease and when I asked the bartender Tristian if they had the best ribs on the island (per the sign out front) he whole heartedly agreed. We were just leaving a restaurant down the street that we paid $210usd for a dinner and were not full so we looked up Peppers since we heard so much about it. Since they stopped serving food at 10 we did a togo order. We got to Peppers which had plenty of parking and went in to get out loaded fries and decides to get a drink while we were there. We saw others still eating so it should have been ok. The rude bartender told us we couldn't eat it there and if we did she would have have to re ring us, charge 18% gratuity and then plate it for us to eat there. So we said we will eat in the car and come back for a drink. As I was picking up our food to go eat in the car another male bartender asked what we would like and if we wanted to eat inside....very accommodating BUT as he walked away the lady bartender got upset and said some words so we decided to leave. This restaurant was one of the highlights of our dinners out. So much so, that I did not take a single picture of our food, because we were all so busy eating. The meats really are the star here. We ordered all sorts of ribs, jerk chicken, jerk pork, and side dishes. The highlight was the jerk chicken with the callaloo rice and fried plantains. This was the actually the only restaurant we went to where all five of our kids ate all of their meal completely. In fact, some of the kids were stealing food from the adults plates because it was so good. The service is a little spotty, but that is because the restaurant is enormous and they are clearly always very busy. The live music made for a nice ambience. Our server was friendly and guided us to some good choices on the Caribbean food menu featuring jerk seasoning and BBQ. I third the 1/4 jerk chicken (yummy) and my wife had the "famous" BBQ ribs (good). You get to choose from a list of about 20 sides-we had fries and coleslaw. The open air setting is nice and since food is roasted and slow cooked, the stuff came out really quickly. It's a really big place so I imagine in season it can get pretty busy and lively.
