This is our second time visiting the Grand Cayman Island. Yoshi's was located across the street from our hotel. This is convenient and close for us. The menu has a wide variety of foods. We spotted a sushi pizza on the menu. We thought that was different and asked about it. The server said it was spicey. We passed on it, our pallets cannot handle spicy. Our server recommended the dumplings and we ordered some. The dumplings were ok. I did not like their Agadashi tofu. The tofu was fried like a tempura. Did not taste good at all. Too much batter. The roll we tried was ok. It was a kind of unagi roll. The mixed sashimi wasn't as fresh as we would have liked it. Overall, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant decor was nice, but the food was just ok.

We saw this across the street and laughed since we have the same name restaurant in our city. We came around 4 and there were only a few people eating. Seated right away. They even have the traditional seating where you dangle your feet. Neat. The menu is extensive and many combinations that I have never seen. We were going to try the sushi pizza, but she said it was really spicy, so we passed. The shrimp tempura bites were pretty good. It tasted like walnut shrimp. The homemade dumplings were OK. The agidashi tofu wasn't that good. Coming from my expert wife. She eats that at every Japanese place. I got the mixed sashimi with 15 pieces and was disappointed. The fish wasn't that fresh, and the tuna had no taste at all. The octopus was awful, too. The deep-fried unagi roll was different, so we tried it . It was OK. A sushi place needs to have fresh sushi to last in our city, but if there are not that many of them, then I guess you can get by. I thought that if we were in the middle of the ocean, the fish would be fresh.

Decent Japanese with extensive menu that include sushi, tonkatsu and ramen. Very popular as it was almost full when we went there.

My husband and I dined here twice during our stay at The Kimpton and loved being right on the beach listening to stellar live music. We ate an assortment of tacos in addition to churros, elote and ordered margs to wash it all down. We thought overall, the tacos were mediocre to good. My husband loved the elote, and I thought it was fair. If you check this place out, I recommend coming on a Tuesday when you're allowed to order the tacos a la carte so that you can try a variety versus having to order three of the same type. My favorites were the tuna and chicken tacos. The churros are tasty and don't even need the chocolate sauce!

We went specifically for the pina coladas, and they did not disappoint! They were strong and creamy! It was frozen so it was perfect for the warm weather! The staff was great, they were happy, but didn't come by too much. There is a parking lot close by if you do not stay at the hotel, so no problems parking. My only concern, and the reason for giving it 4 stars was the food portion. We did order food for dinner one day, and the portions were extremely tiny. Especially for the price. I would say come here for the drinks, and go elsewhere for the food. If I ever come back to Cayman Island. I will come back here for sure!

There is live music, at least the Saturday night we were there, lovely background music. As for the food, I have not had a bad bite. It's the Cracked Conch, so you have to try conch. We had the ceviche, which was delicious, light and refreshing. For mains, my husband had the fish special, a tuna, cooked rare, spiced perfectly. I had the crab cakes, lightly fried, and delicious. We never eat dessert but tried the apple, it was a beautiful white chocolate green apple, with an apple, cream, crumble filling. Beautiful and tasty! Definitely worth a visit!

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. This was our last dinner in GC and I think we saved the best for last

Everyone was nice and the restaurant was cute and view was gorgeous! The food was ok. I got the fruit platter with cottage cheese and it had nice fresh fruit , I also got the breakfast quesadilla and it was good. My husband got the waffle and did not finish it, which is very unusual for him. He said it was tasteless and mushy. He wanted to order avocado toast but they were out of avocado! lol. As we were leaving another group was just being served their lunches and they looked and smelled amazing, so, maybe we just ordered wrong and or hit it at an off time. We started with conch fritters, not too crispy, not soft, just golden delicious balls of conch goodness. I had the curry grouper and found it perfectly cooked and seasoned. My son had a wahoo steak and it also was perfectly cooked and spectacularly seasoned. The plantain sides were not too starchy, slightly sweet and a good compliment to the meals.
